A beautiful two storey farmhouse, lovingly restored with all the modern conveniences situated on the banks of the River Functeon, renowned for its trout and salmon fishing. Unwind and revigorate in our new and restored ensuite bedrooms. Relax and spoil yourself in our new heated swimming pool. Friendly family atmosphere. From Dublin - Leave the M8 at junction 13, then at roundabout take the 4th exit, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R639 (signposted Mitchelstown). At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the R639 (signposted Dublin, Mallow N73) At roundabout take the 1st exit (signposted Glanworth)
Continue for 7km. Go over Function River Bridge, Riverside entrance on right.
From Cork - Leave the M8 at junction 15, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R639 (signposted Fermoy) Continue forward onto Cork Road - R639 Entering Fermoy. At traffic signals continue forward onto Cork Road - R639 . At traffic signals turn left onto Pearse Square - N72 (signposted Killarney) River Blackwater. Bear left onto the N72 (signposted Killarney). Turn right onto the R512 (signposted Glanworth) Continue forward to Glanworth. Arrive on Main Street. At the end of the street, take the Mitchelstown Road for 2 km. Riverside is on the left.

This farmhouse is situated just 2 km from Glanworth and 5 km from Mitchelstown overlooking fields and an old stone bridge across a river. A very tranquil spot and very handy for visiting Cork city and the beaches of the south. Liam and Jennifer are charming and accommodating hosts who went out of their way to make my stay extra special. My room was lovely and comfortable and the cooked breakfast was delicious. A great value for money Country Home!

Loved staying with our hosts, Liam and Jennifer so much we decided to stay on a few extra days beyond our original plan. Liam suggested several sights that we spread out over 2 days (the drive around the vee was worth the effort as were his other suggestions) that were within close proximity by car. only 9km from Blarney area and a half hour from cork we counted ourselves lucky to be relaxing in the country with our hosts, who were both friendly, witty, and conversational. I would highly recommend staying here for the value, ease of comfort, not to mention all the recently updated spacious and relaxing en-suite rooms.
