This beautiful log chalet is located just a few minutes walk to the ski lifts of Fernie Alpine Resort with ski to the door convenience. Log beds, pine floor, and woodburning fireplace add to the charm of our Black Bear Chalet. In fact, we adopted a stuffed black bear from Fernie Mountain while we were building our home and he is still present as the mascot of our chalet.
Our chalet is ideal for large families or groups who love to cook and socialize around our large kitchen table, built by one of the owners. A large deck, barbecue, and a commercial hot tub aid to the enjoyment of the secluded property with flora and fauna in abundance....Read more

we had so much fun! we made up the "hottub Olympics" and ate so much food we burst. It was so rustic and comfortable we fell in love with the log house. So much so we now have a small loghome of our own!!! We would go back there in a minute!!

Great place especially for a larger group. We had the whole place (18 people... Ok maybe we exceeded the load limit a bit)but it was fantastic. The living room and kitchen/dining room were very accomodating. Bedrooms arte spacious and very homey. The setting is spectacular with easy access to many outdoor activities.
Highly recommended summer or winter. -

I would highly recommend this beautiful, cozy log chalet cabin. The convenience of skiing to the door is a huge bonus and has all the amenties to make a very comfortable stay. The fireplace and hot tub is an added touch that makes a long day of skiing very relaxing later. You don't want to miss out on this great vacation rental!

Our family celebrated New Year's Eve here and we couldn't have had a more excellent time! The accommodations were spectacular with plenty of room, comfortable beds, and all the amenities! We were able to ski out our back door and come back for a hot lunch.
We are planning our next family get together here in the near future!

We stayed at Black Bear Chalet for 4 days last March. The Chalet was great, skied to the back door. Spent time out on the beautiful deck, amongst the trees in the hot tub, after a day of skiing. The chalet was fully equipped with everything we needed.
