External Description:

The Figline Estate expands over approximately 140 hectares of one of the most striking areas in the Tuscan countryside : the Chianti region.

A property of the Ferragamo family, the Estat...e is composed of one main villa, which dates back to the Renaissance, and six farmhouses, recently restored with utmost attention to every detail. All of the properties have been furnished with Salvatore Ferragamo fabrics, remaining faithful to the authentic style of Tuscany.

A Renaissance chapel and the farmers' crafts museum complete the Estate. Villa il Gelsomino 10 is found at the highest part of Figline Estate. Dating back to the 15th Century, it was completely refurnished in 2002. The large terrace and the garden offer some charming views of the surrounding landscapes. The gazebo with the terracotta floor is ideal for al fresco aperitifs, lunches, and dinners. The villa is completed by a great private swimming pool (13 x 6 m).

Internal Description:

The villa is built on 2 levels; on the ground floor is the entrance, the double lounge with beamed roof, dining room, and the large and practical kitchen.

On the first floor an entrance leads to the study and to the bedrooms; the master bedroom with en suite bathroom, with bathtub and shower; the blue double bedroom with en suite bathroom, with bathtub; the yellow double bedroom with en suite bathroom, with bathtub; the red double bedroom with en suite bathroom, with bathtub; and the blue twin bedroom with en suite bathroom, with shower.

All the properties have terracotta tiled floors, and beamed ceilings. On the ground floor there is a residence for the gardener, note that this does not face the property in any way that might disturb the privacy of the guests.

All of the bedrooms of the villa are air conditioned.

The swimming-pool is for the exclusive use of the guests of Villa il Gelsomino 10.

Our Personal Opinion:

Great 5 bedrooms villa located near Florence and not far from the highway what allows the customers to move easily around the Florence and Chianti area. The villa has 5 bedrooms so it is perfect for a family holiday or a group of friends. The prices includes staff.

The property can only be booked from Saturday to Saturday.

Weekly price: high season: 7.900,00 €, low season: 7.600,00 €.

Included in the Price: Utility bills: water, gas and electricity (up to 500 kwh per week), linens (changed twice a week) and towels (changed daily), house, swimming-pool and garden maintenance. Staff: 4 people of staff 6 days a week (11 hours per day): butler, maid, cook (extra of 30 € per week for transportation), and gardener. Internet wi-fi, swimming-pool, baby cot and high chair on request.

Excluded from the Price: Extra cleaning on request (12,00 € per hour), electricity over 500 kwh per week, telephone, heating, extras on request (laundry, baby sitter, car with driver, catering, cooking class...).

Security Deposit: All customers must pay at the arrival a deposit of 1.000,00 € at check-in. It will be returned after check-out in full, subject to deduction for damage caused and/or payment for additional services.

Additional Location Information

The Estate is located around 1 km from the town of Figline Valdarno, where all the essential amenities (shops, banks, restaurants, post office, and hospital) can be found. The location is particularly convenient as it allows you to reach Florence in 30 minutes (28 km).

Staff: professional cook from 8 am to 2.30 pm (with 2 hour break) and from 4.30 pm to 10 pm 6 days per week ( Sunday excluded); gardener; two cleaning staff from 8 am to 2.30 pm (with 2 hour break) and from 4.30 pm to 10 pm 6 days per week. Personal laundry service available upon request according to staff availability.

On the ground floor there is a residence for the gardener, note that this does not face the property in any way that might disturb the privacy of the guests.
