Villa Figline is a wonderful 5 bedroom villa rental in Tuscany close to Florence, just 28 km away. Beautifully furnished this villa accommodation is located in the small village of Figline Valdarno and is surrounded by a pool and a beautiful countryside.
The Figline Estate expands over approximately 140 hectares of one of the most striking areas in the Tuscan countryside: the Chianti region.
A property of the Ferragamo family, the Estate is composed of the main villa Villa Figline, which dates back to the Renai...ssance, and six farmhouses, recently restored with utmost attention to every detail. All of the properties have been furnished with Salvatore Ferragamo fabrics, remaining faithful to the authentic style of Tuscany.
A Renaissance chapel and the farmers' crafts museum complete the Estate.
Internal Description:
Villa Figline is found in the centre of the Estate and it is surrounded by an expansive 5000 m² park. An elegant villa dating back to the Renaissance, redecorated in 1965 and recently furnished with modern accessories.
It is set on two levels. On the ground floor there is the homely entrance, the study/television room with small fireplace, the blue lounge with the valuable coffered ceiling, the yellow lounge with the elegant sandstone fireplace, and the large dining room. Many doors open onto the large terracotta terraces, perfect for al fresco lunches and dinners.
Joined onto the dining area are the sizeable kitchen and the breakfast room.
On the first floor, to the left there is a large entrance with coffered ceiling which leads to a double bedroom with en suite bathroom (with bathtub and shower) and a double bedroom with bathroom (with bathtub). To the right you access three bedrooms: one twin with en suite bathroom (with shower); a double bedroom, another twin bedroom, and a bathroom (with tub).
On the ground floor of the villa is the Renaissance chapel, which can hold up to 25 people and is dedicated to Saint Giovanni Bosco, and the interesting farmers crafts museum with around 300 carving instruments cataloged.
The villa is not air conditioned because it is immersed in the nature and has old stone walls which keeps the property naturally cool.
There is, in addition, another bedroom with bathroom for the use of the staff that will sleep in the villa.
This is a very exclusive property, and for every booking request, even if an on-line payment is received, the renter must be approved in advance by the owner.
Our Personal Opinion:
Amazing 5 bedrooms villa located close to Florence and not far from the highway what allows the customers to move easily around the Florence and Chianti area. The villa itself is a real dream furnished with style and immersed in the nature, the huge swimming-pool permits the guests to relax in the hottest summer days.
The property can only be booked from Saturday to Saturday.

Included in the Price: Utility bills: water, gas and electricity (up to 500 kwh per week), linens (changed twice a week) and towels (changed daily), house, swimming-pool and garden maintenance. Staff: professional cook from 8 am to 2.30 pm (with 2 hour break) and from 4.30 pm to 10 pm 6 days per week (Sunday excluded); gardener; two cleaning staff from 8 am to 2.30 pm (with 2 hour break) and from 4.30 pm to 10 pm 6 days per week. Internet wi-fi, swimming-pool, baby cot and high chair on request.
Excluded from the Price: Extra cleaning on request (12,00 € per hour), electricity over 500 kwh per week, telephone, heating, extras on request (laundry, baby sitter, car with driver, catering, cooking class...).
Security Deposit: All customers must pay at the arrival a deposit of 1.000,00 € at check-in. It will be returned after check-out in full, subject to deduction for damage caused and/or payment for additional services.
The Estate is located around 1 km from the town of Figline Valdarno, where all the essential amenities (shops, banks, restaurants, post office, and hospital) can be found. The location is particularly convenient as it allows you to reach Florence in 30 minutes (28 km) or, using the nearby motorway access, the larger art cities or tourist attractions.
