You will be vacationing in style in this chic, ultra modern 2 bedroom, 2 bath contemporary home! Avant-garde on Seneca sits at the end of a private, scenic road. This home features cutting-edge corrugated metal siding, and the bamboo walls and flooring throughout give this home a warm and modern feel . Floor to ceiling sliding doors are throughout the entire house, making this the perfect spot for enjoying one of the best views of Seneca Lake! Enter through the front door into the open kitchen and living room. The kitchen features brand new stainless steel appliances, a glass cook top, and a large island for preparing meals. Gather at the bre...akfast bar, which features high end Crate and Barrel stools, and enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the sunrise. The living room offers quality furniture, including a queen sleeper sofa. The living room also has a flat screen TV, and a DVD player. Just down the hall from the living room is a bathroom to your right, which includes a stand up shower. A washer and dryer are also conveniently located in this bathroom. Further down the hall is the first bedroom, with queen size bed and built in closet space. Your own private set of sliding glass doors, not only provide you with easy access to the outdoor deck, but a beautiful view as well. These gorgeous sliding glass doors also run from the kitchen all the way down the hallway and lead out to the expansive deck, where you can enjoy your favorite Finger Lakes wine. Stairs from this deck lead to an upper deck. Just off of the upper deck is the Master Suite with plenty of built in closet space. On one side of the built in is a door leading to a beautiful private shower with blue iridescent tiling. Another door on the other side of the built in leads to a separate half bath. The Master Suite has its very own set of sliding glass doors which lead out to your own private balcony. Gather on the deck and enjoy the fresh air, or head down to the private gradual lakefront, and relax in the sun. Take advantage of the swim platform if you need to cool off! This home is conveniently located only 2 miles from Glenora Winery, where you can start your tour of the famous Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Be sure to bring your favorite wine back with you though, as Avant-garde on Seneca will be the highlight of your vacation!   A little dissapointing

  The bed in the upstairs bedroom is so hard it is like sleeping on concrete. I would suggest the owner try it out for a week. The pillows are almost as hard. There is also no room for toiletries while getting ready in the upstairs bathroom as there is no counter space.
  
  Seating in the TV area will not accommodate six which is the number the rental "sleeps". At least one person would need to sit on a bar stool to join the group of others. Finally, the lack of airconditioning was shocking! We were there during a heat wave and very uncomfortable some evenings. I never would have thought a new build would not have central air! We of course had all the sliding doors open, but were then invaded with bugs as they were drawn to even the light of the TV.

  "Sweet"

  "Sweet" these days can me cool, great, excellent, fantastic, the best.!
  
  If you ever visit Finger Lakes in upper state NY, I highly recommend avant-Garde on the Seneca Lake. We all need a relaxing vacation and you will not be disappointed. From the time we arrived (great customer service at check in) until the time we left, we were so amazed at all this property has to offer in the way of relaxation.
  
  Be aware that as you travel the path to get to the house...It's a little rough, but our Subaru could handle it. Oh my, is it worth it when you get there.
  
  There are multiple decks to enjoy sun rise and sun sets...There are beautiful outdoor stairs leading to the lake’s private shore. All our evening dinner meat was grilled, while we cooked breakfast in the ultra modern kitchen of this "wee" house in the mornings. You will love the amenities, great washer / dryer also.
  
  So many great activities are within (max) 20 minutes of this lake home. My advice...make the decision and go on vacation...relax and enjoy the sun rise and sun sets on one of three decks. I already want to reserve this house for next year...You won't be disappointed!!!
  
  My only suggestion:
  If I would ever go in the winter...a gas fireplace would be great!!!

  Nice home, nice view, but...

  Nice place right on Seneca Lake, great deck, and 10 miles from Watkins Glen. We enjoyed our stay, but had a couple of complaints. We had explained to the rental manager that we'd be using the house as a base from which to tour the area on motorcycles, but they failed to mention that the house is only accessible by traveling down a half-mile dirt road with steep hills. A challenge on touring bikes. We assumed (incorrectly it turns out) that this modern home would have a/C. Probably not a problem 49 or 50 weeks out of the year, but we were there one of the 2 or 3 that had sustained 90+ degree temps. Beds are fulls, not queens. Cleaning service wasn't great. Sliding glass doors along full length of lake-side wall. Very nice view, but hard to keep bugs out with only the screens, and with no blinds, we were up with the sun every day. Overall, though, a nice week.
