The door opened and my mouth dropped to the floor... could it be that the house was even better than the pics we've seen?? It was a stunning weekend 'home away from home' experience. The couples thouroughly enjoyed their stay. Yvette really has everything you need from dishes, to pots, pans and even spices! All of us would love to have some sort of timeshare in the place :) Thanks for the excellent service and allowing us to enjoy the beauty of your home.

We stayed at Oceans Echo for a 10 days, we chose it as our Cape Town base in preparation for our wedding.
My first impression when Yvette opened the door and led us down the staircase was that I had stepped into a movie, I was expecting some famous actor to appear from the kitchen with a drink in his hands!
The house is unbelievable, the glass windows give you the feeling to be hovering directly on top of the ocean! the bedrooms are all beautiful; my husband and I had the master bedroom and slept with the curtains open, to fully enjoy the gorgeous sunset every morning, it was magical.
Yvette herself is like a force of nature, ready to help out and suggests things; we threw a party the night before the wedding and she provided all the food (home made snoek pate' was a revelation!) and the party ware, it was a success!
I recommend this house if you want your friends to go "wow! this is the kind of house I would live in (if I could)".
We really enjoyed our stay at Oceans Echo and will definitely go back if in a group.

Nous avons louÊ la villa pour une semaine fin aoÝt. Nous avons ÊtÊ accueillis par Yvette propriÊtaire des lieux, très sympathique et serviable.
La villa est très agrÊable avec une vue à couper le souffle sur l'ocÊan, les baleines et des couchers de soleil extra! Elle est très bien ÊquipÊe, avec des chambres spacieuses qui ont toute une salle de bain. La piscine est petite mais suffisante pour les enfants.
Les commerces sont proches mais il faut une voiture dans tous les cas pour sĂŠjourner Ă la villa. Nous avons beaucoup visitĂŠ le Cap mais aussi plein d'endroits charmants autour de Fishhoek y compris les petits musĂŠes.
Allez y de prĂŠfĂŠrence en ĂŠtĂŠ, les maisons sud africaines ne sont pas faites pour l'hiver alors cĂ´tĂŠ chauffage c'est un peu juste...
Lieu très spacieux à recommander en famille ou avec des amis et à un prix très compÊtitif pour la prestation. -

This place is a outstanding. Fantastic veiws, lots of space, privacy and fabulous decor and feel. To say the girls loved it would be an understatement. Â The place blew everybody away. Everything was perfect and I am definitely coming back to have the wonderful experience once or even twice more. Location is perfect, in a way central between fishhoek and simons town.

I stayed in Oceans Echo villa with my husband, my sister and my brother. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you, Yvette!
What strikes you most are the panoramic views across the bay which can be enjoyed from the living room and four of the bedrooms.
There's a big kitchen with everything you'd need and bathrooms for every bedroom. All the rooms have double beds and there's plenty of entertaining space. Linens (towels and bedding) were provided for us and there was a lovely housekeeper who popped in throughout our stay to tidy up and make the beds.
The small swimming pool is set in a court yard which is a great space to lounge about with the barbeque. For security there's an alarm system which triggers and armed response and there is a secure garage for your car.
The villa is set in Fish Hoek which is a stunning bay, about 35mins drive from central Cape Town (depending on the traffic). If you're lucky, you might even spot whales in the bay from the balcony (if you go in the right season). There were lots of lovely little restaurants to choose from near by and a great fish and chip shop (Kalkies) in Kalk Bay.
Near by attractions:
* Boulders Beach penguin colony - approx 15mins drive
* Cape Point ~ approx 35mins drive
* Cape Town Waterfront ~ approx 35mins drive
* Table Top Mountain ~ approx 45mins drive
* Stellenbosch ~ 1hr drive
There are lots of lovely beaches all along the Cape Peninsula - particularly if you like surfing (the seas were quite rough when we were there, but perhaps this is seasonal. Check if you are travelling with young children.) Beware of sharks - take advice from the locals. -

Just returned from a 10 day stay at Oceans Echo. The website pictures do not do this house justice. It really is spectacular. We were 2 families of 4 holidaying together and there was more than enough room for all of us. Yvette was extremely helpful, be sure to take her advice on things to do, she is a wealth of local knowledge. The house has everything you could need and the surrounding areas of Simons Town and Kalk Bay are lovely villages to spend a day in. Lots of great restaurants in the area and lots to do and see. We all hope that we can return sometime in the future.

Oceans Echo is a wonderful property with truly magnificent views over False Bay. We will be eternally indebted to Yvette who was a wonderful host during our stay and went way beyond the call of duty ensuring we had the most amazing time
The views from the house will stay with us forever , the aspect of the property meant you could enjoy the breathtaking views from virtually every room in the house. We were fortunate enough to be there in "Whale Season" and were privileged to see both southern right and humpbacks passing by.
The property is easy to find and at the same time in a great location with local amenities not too far away.
We would very highly recommend Oceans Echo and once again a great big thank you to Yvette ! -

Si vous cherchez un endroit pour sĂŠjourner Ă Cape Town ou aux alentours, ne cherchez plus : la maison est extraordinaire, situĂŠe dans un environnement Ă couper le souffle. Vous vivez , vous vous rĂŠveillez, vous vous endormez avec la mer et la baie de FalseBay comme tableau. Nous avons eu le plaisir de voir des phoques et des dauphins depuis la maison, c'ĂŠtait fantastique. Yvette, la propriĂŠtaire est tout simplement gĂŠniale : Elle est toujours lĂ si vous avez des besoins( bonnes adresses, babysitter..) Elle est adorable. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal Ă quitter cet endroit et nous espĂŠrons bien y revenir un jour.

We had a fantastic time staying at Oceans Echo! It is ideally positioned with great views of False Bay - close to shops and the beach and only a short drive from Boulders Beach, Chapmans Peak, Cape Point and other attractions. The property itself is equally fantastic - modern design and decor with breath taking views from most rooms, our stay was very comfortable and our hostess Yvette was constantly checking with us to ensure that everything was well and we were happy, nothing seemed to be to much trouble for Yvette. We will definitely be visiting Oceans Echo again - Thank you Yvette for ensuring our stay in Cape Town was amazing!!

My family had a wonderful time here. It was stunningly beautiful: the house and location. Yvette was a fabulous host, and a wonderful chef (if you're lucky enough to reserve her services). Being able to walk to the beach was fabulous, especially the widest and most beautiful beach on False Bay also, we appreciated the proximity to Kalk Bay and Simonstown.

A wonderfull villa in Fish Hoek with about 180 degrees splendid seaview on False Bay from almost every room. You can see the whales pass by while sitting on the sofa. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. The car can savely be parked in the garage and the house has an alarm. The location makes you feel like you have the Bay to yourself but several shopping facilities are very close by. The accommodation itself was spotless. Due to the split level built and several stairs, the house is not suitable for the physically challenged (but you know that before booking by looking at the pictures on the internet). When we arrived the owner welcomed us very hospitable. Her quick response to questions before and during our stay made us feel secure and confident. The best feature of the house is definitely the view, which is superb!

This is a house of note . You cannot go wrong if you stay here , Fish Hoek beach is within walking distance and the view is to die for . Yvette , the lady that meets you is very helpful and all her staff are top quality .

Our family had a most memorable stay at Ocean's Echo. We had a great time. It is such a lovely place, with gorgeous views from all the rooms, well located and a friendly atmosphere. The manager Yvette was brilliant in making sure we had everything and were comfortably settled in. Ocean's Echo made our stay in Cape Town just perfect. An unforgettable experience all round.
