This is our second time being here. The first year the place was brand new. Sadly, there has been a lack of maintenance so that while still a stunning villa upon first impression, many lights did not work, the stove failed, and the magazines around the villa were duplicative and some were several years old. There was the constant drone of a barking dog next door. When issues were brought to the manager's attention, he was dismissive and defensive. It was only when we would called our us rental agent that he showed up. This marred an otherwise splendid stay. The view is wonderful. The two bedrooms are exactly alike and there is no thought that one couple has a better room. There is a central combination living room and kitchen, and a loft for getting away for a stretch. The deck is beautiful. You definitely need a car. The walk to Flamands is easy, but walking back up the hill with a sidewalk available only part of the way is an invitation to be hit by a car.
