We enjoyed our stay in the house , beautiful location and view on the lake from every room ,cute decoration inside.Very quiet and peaceful place but you are close to shops and restaurants if you need.

Two of my children and two of their children shared the house for five days. They were very close to us,so it was very convenient for them and me. It is a very comfortable and well situated house in a beautiful location. All arrangements for check in, check out, trash pickup et al were good. They had a great time and look forward to returning.

The Boathouse and Highland Lake are a great place to get away and relax. The house was warm, cozy and secluded. The layout is ideal and the beds are super comfortable. The lake is great for swimming, canoeing or rafting. The whole family had a great time there!

This is our 6th year staying at the Boathouse (Highland Lake Properties) and like in previous years everything was perfect.
We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the lake and at night we were able to sit by the fire pit and relax by the lakeside.
The amenities are perfect. It's very private and the accommodations are fantastic.
I would highly recommend this house and this company to my dearest friends.

We choose the Boathouse annually for our Women's Family Retreat! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are adorable, the decor is very rustic (there's a canoe bookshelf in the living area!), and the living area is perfect for fellowship around the fire. Our best memories include cooking up a storm every night, walking to the pier (directly next door) for yoga, visiting the on-sight animals (goats, horse, turkey, peacock, chickens), sipping wine while gathered around the coffee table to play games, and relaxing on the back porch watching the geese float by. Within a few yards of the lake, the sunsets are phenomenal. We felt secluded (in a cozy way), safe, and very refreshed during our stay. Highly recommended!

The Boathouse is a wonderful place. You can walk on the grounds in a lovely setting. You can curl up with a good book and gaze at the lake a few feet from the front porch. A endlessly entertaining flow of Canadian geese and ducks will catch your eye as well. A short walk away is a lovely waterfall. For dinner, walk, or take the short drive to Seasons, a nearby restaurant that is exceptional. At night, it is so quiet and the stars are so bright. It is a great place, even in the winter, for a relaxing get away. We are so glad we found it!!
