The setting is lovely--we especially liked the cottage since we were two couples. It was a great retreat--the kitchen and bathrooms were a bit cramped.

Beautiful setting and house. The little cabin was lovely and a great place for a mother/daughter sleepover. It might have been the best part of the house. Wish there was a dishwasher, though...

This property was perfect. My husband and I and our three-year-old son were traveling from the coast to Boone and Tweetsie Railroad with my parents for the weekend and wanted more than the hotel experience. This property has the main house for us and the guest cottage for my parents.
Our son also loved the creek and trails around the houses. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again! -

We enjoyed our stay, but it rained the whole time! My only issue with the home - and this is the homeowner's choice of course, not ours - is that the creek might be a bit too loud because the rocks are very high in the stream, so it was more of a roaring sound rather than a 'babbling brook' but still a very pretty home with lots of character. Liked the craft items inside and out of the home.
