House was beautiful - pictures don't do it justice. Kitchen had all of the appliances/utensils you would need. Beds were comfy, view very pretty, house very clean. Think a firepit could be added without much trouble. Also we had outside "company" - a non-poisonous but still ominous racer snake apparently lives int he stone retaining wall. We stayed away with hope that he/she is eating lots of bugs.

Recently stayed at RazorBack Run - Beautiful home and more spacious then pictures show - would love to go again... only drawback is you cannot get cell service at house - need to hike up the road. Would definitely recommend this house!!!

Don't judge this property based on the website pictures because it is so much better in person. The pictures do not do it justice. Carolina Mtn Properties were very easy to work with from start to finish. The home itself was a perfect size for the party of nine we traveled with. Having the downstairs level for the kids bunk room as well as the game room with the full size pool table, large TV and couch gave the kids their own space to enjoy while the adults enjoyed the main level with spectacular peaceful views and the comfort of the gas fireplace. Having the 2 master bedrooms split between the main level and the upstairs level gave the adults additional privacy as well. The hot tub was enjoyed by everyone and was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. The property had everything you could possible need and then some. If you use the directions the property management office supplies you will be able to find the property without any problems and are conveniently located not far from the main road for the short drive to downtown Boone. Both our families would definatley stay at this property again and recommend it if two families are traveling together.

This was our second stay at this cabin. We love the locatin as it is easy to access from either the Blue Ridge Parkway or 421. The size of the cabin is large enough for everyone to spend time together and being three floors, also gives each of the families a place to "escape" each other to a space of their own.
The amenities to the cabin are great - cookware, dishes, linens, stove, washer & dryer, etc. are more than adequate. The views of the mountains are very nice.
Our only "minor" disappointment is in the Hot-Tub. It is not an adequate size for the amount of people that stay at the cabin and it needs to be serviced during a long stay.

Great house!!! The house was clean, great for a family (we have a 5 year old),the kitchen was stocked, the rooms were a great size, the tile in the master bath was like an oasis. We definitely plan on coming back. The folks at Carolina Mtn Properties are always great to work with.
Amazing weekend away

Our stay at Razorback Run was a perfect long weekend getaway. There was more than enough room for everyone to stay. We were close enough to do some shopping and venture out in Boone, but able to stay in and feel away from it all at the same time. The kitchen was very nice and made it enjoyable to cook in the mornings. The shower in the master was like Heaven. The guys loved having the pool table. We will be staying at this cabin again very soon!

There were six of us that enjoyed our stay at RazorBack Run. The house was very nice, clean and private with a great view. Everything was there that was needed for a very relaxing and quiet weekend. Close enough to town that if you ran out of something you didn't have far to go. Thanks for a nice weekend.

we are planning to go back in Fall 2010.
RazorBack Run — Almost Perfect

The home is lovely with warm mountain decor and sweeping views of the valley. The kitchen features high-end appliances including a wonderful gas stove. A hot tub on the lower deck was the perfect place to warm up on chilly fall evenings. The gas-log fireplace was another really cozy touch. That said, we were a bit thrown off upon arrival to find that this was actually a 3-bedroom property rather than 4-bedroom as stated in the description. A small landing at the top of the stairs had a futon and I suppose that was considered the fourth "bedroom." A problem with mice in the downstairs bedroom and family room was discovered on Day 2. In all fairness, I understand that it is not unusual for mountain houses to have the occasional mouse problem and we did not contact CMP about it while there as we were traveling with elderly people who could not have been easily moved. Therefore, we simply toughed it out, making sleeping spaces on the floor upstairs during our stay. We did alert CMP about it after we left and they offered us a partial refund, so we were happy with that. I have been using CMP for a decade now and plan to continue as they offer the best value, service and selection.
Beautiful mornings and late afternoons at a great location.

The service we received was good. The home was large and spacious enough for a large group. It had all the amenities that we needed. The beast things were the Hot Tub and the view. There are some walking trails close by that were neat.
