Woodstock, GAA great family place to stay in a sad time.
Left on 09/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Unfortunately, we came to ashville for a funeral. We looked at hotels, and ashville Getaway was more economical than hotel rooms for my 9 family members traveling from atlanta. The house was very nice, very clean, and accommodated us all from the ages of 2 to 65 extremely well. The pool table and foosball table were welcome distractions for the kids and adults, and the house was set up very nicely to accommodate 3 whole families with plenty of space and privacy. It was very nice for us all to be able to stay together during this sad time. It made it easier on all of us to stay together. Great location up on the mountain, and close enough to town to be convenient. We brought a bunch of food and saved even more money by eating in. This was a great place to stay! Thanks!

Boca Raton, FLGreat Biltmore Vacation Spot!
Left on 01/09/2009 for a stay in December 2008
I am one of a group of 5 friends who stayed in this home. It was beautiful, welcoming and supplied everything we need. Additionally, it was just minutes away from the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. Not to mention, the view from the deck was spectacular. We had a minor glitch when the coffee maker went on the fritz, but the owners were so gracious and brought out a brand new coffee pot the same day along with coffee and filters for us. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. Thank you again!

Lexington, South CarolinaGreat Home & Great Location

This house has a great floorplan for a large family gathering and it is a great location, just minutes away from the Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village and downtown Asheville. It is one of the best rentals we have ever had. The ONLY 2 things we found was that the Oven had not been cleaned. This was NOT a big issue. Also, the carpet needed cleaning in two of the bedrooms on the main level. The ones with the bathroom inbetween. Overall I would rate it 9 out of 10. Thanks for arranging a great stay Carolina Mornings.

Left on 12/03/2008 for a stay in October 2008
I wish I could give a good review but a family emergency caused me to leave Asheville after only 2 days. I Arrived on 10/25/08 and left on 10/27/08. I was disapointed that I didn't get any part of the $1200.00 back, the fire place in the basement didn't work so it was too cold to enjoy the pool table / downstairs. The house was very nice other than that but being a return customer I would have liked carolina mornings to have returned some of the money since the rest of that week5 1/2 days I was not in the cabin. I know it wasn't their fault but will make me think twice about renting from them again in the future.

Manager
Dear Theresa,
Thank you for your review and feedback. We take every review seriously and do our best to be proactive, ensuring the problem does not occur again.
In this case, we need to better explain our cancellation and refund policy. When a guest cancels within 30 days of their arrival date, or chooses to leave a property early, we do our best to re-rent the property to another guest so that we can refund your money. If we can not re-book the property for the reserved dates, and Travel Insurance has been purchased, the guest can file a claim with the insurance company. If the insurance company approves the claim, which is usually when the family emergency is related to a medical emergency or death in the family, the guest's money will be refunded.
If the property is not re-booked and the guest has not purchased Travel Insurance, or the insurance claim is denied, there is nothing we can do to refund the guest's money. We make every attempt to explain these policies, which are included in our Vacation Rental Agreement, to each guest who books a reservation with us. Our inability to refund your money was not in any way related to your situation specifically, and please know we would have liked to be able to do more for you.
As for the basement fireplace, we do remember repairing the fireplace as soon as we could after being notified, and our notes state that maintenance found the pilot simply needed to be lit again.
We are sorry for the trouble you had during your stay. We appreciate you returning to stay with us, and hope that you will decide to do so again in the future.

KentuckySpacious but in need of repair
Left on 10/15/2008 for a stay in September 2008
The house is unquestionably spacious, easily accomodating several couples or a large family. In addition, the setting is beautiful and feels remote enough to be secluded and peaceful, yet very close to all the amenities of Asheville.
That said, the house is showing wear. Paint and wallpaper are worn and outdated; the front porch needed repairs; and the basement was damp and musty. -

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at this very nice, well layed out home. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. The rooms were very nice sized and the beds very comfortable. This place can house a large group easily. We were 7 and had and extra bedroom. The nice garage is a plus as the large basement playroom with pool table, and foosball tables.

We loved our stay in the Asheville area, and this house was the perfect base for ur vacation. The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped - we were seven people. Everything is clean and modern. We had easy access to Asheville and also to the nearby National Forest. This house was truly good value for the rental cost.

Our stay at Asheville Getaway was great. The home is exactly as pictured on the website, very clean and well maintained. The kids enjoyed the game room downstairs, and exploring the trail through the woods.I would definitely advise serious amounts of insect repellent out there.
We found the property spacious enough for our party of eight, without being crowded. -

We took 5 kids and the house handled it well. The House was very clean and well laid out to accomodate teenagers. Bathrooms were more than adequate for multiple teenage girls. The living space/ playroom downstairs with foosbal and pooltale was enjoyed by all. This was a great deal.

"Asheville Getaway" is a comfortable home with all the amenities from home. This home is especially good for families with teens. Our teenagers enjoyed playing pool and fussball in the lower level of the house while the adults could watch tv or just relax on the deck on the main level. We also made much use of the computer with internet to find out about things to do in the area. The setting of the house is in a tranquil area just outside of Fletcher. The closest stores, incl. a large grocery store and restaurants are only 10 min. away. We would recommend a gps system when you go because it will help you tremendously in saving time and frustration when finding your way around the area.

Would recommend this property
Left on 05/15/2008 for a stay in May 2008
Liked the house. Plenty of space for 10 adult guests. Liked the openness between the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Allowed us to easily converse and enjoy each other. Only down side was the down-stairs gets very cold at night . The upstairs and downstairs don't stay the same temperature, so we had to use the fire place downstairs to keep warm at night. Would stay there again, though.

More than a mountain cabin
Left on 05/15/2008 for a stay in April 2008
Blown away by this location. I rented this for my boss, and she was a little hesitant about staying in a "mountain cabin", but came back to the office praising me because she said it was nicer than most of the places that she had ever stayed (she travels alot). She said the entire area was more spacious than she could have imagined. Her favorite part was the atmosphere the cabin had. She had prepared a list of activities to do for her new team, but the set up of the house encouraged large groups to be able to sit down together and talk. We were blown away and will be booking our reservations in the western part of the state with this company again!

Our family loved our stay at the Asheville Getaway! The best way to describe it, we felt like we were "Nestled in the Trees". It was a delight! The property and the home are lovely. We really felt like we were home. We had family breakfasts every morning before we left for the day. We would then return and complete our day with dinner as a family. We made memories that all of us will treasure a lifetime.
