Warm, friendly apartment, made even more so by Ernestina's greeting and generous explanations of how to make best use of it. Rich furnishings and quaint old fixtures add to its ambience. Most spectacular feature is the way two very famous bell towers, Badia and Bargello, seem to lean in through the northern window. We couldn't have enjoyed our two day Florence stay more!

The location could not have been better. My husband and I were able to walk everywhere in the city we wanted to go. The place was extremely cozy with wonderful views out the windows of the Palazzo Vecchio and several church spires. It was extremely quiet even on such a busy square. The restaurants recommended in the book in the room were wonderful as well as Perche No gelato which was recommended by Ernestina. She was amazingly helpful and very accomodating to questions. My husband and I had a little aTM snafoo and Ernestina was patient with us and returned the following day to collect our cleaning fee. It was nice having a fridge in the room. The shower was claustrophobic with a slanted ceiling and the water temperature alternated during one shower from scalding to cold, which was unpleasant. The room was constantly muggy/damp even with the aC on full blast so the sheets were always a little damp and uncomfortable. Other than those things, we loved the room, the location, the staff, and the look of the outside of the building. The doors were beautiful and massive and the keys to the apartment were very odd and old and quite unique! Thank you for a lovely, cozy stay. There was even an elevator! The place occassionally had a sewage smell, especially in the lobby area.

Ernestina was very helpful with suggestions for things to do in Florence and our excursion to Pisa. We enjoyed our brief 4 day stay at atmosphera. It met our expectations and was close to restaurants and shopping. It was convenient to Pont de Vecchio and Uffizzi. It was a bit pricey considering it only had a view of rooftops. The elevator was challenging to use. We did notice a disagreeable odor in the hallways and elevator but think they may have been having a plumbing problem at the time. My husband is 5'8" and he mentioned that the shower stall ceiling was a bit low for him. Overall we did like the apartment.

My husband and I made Atmosfera our home for 10 wonderful days. Everything was "as advertised" and we completely enjoyed our stay. The apartment is walking distance from most major Florence attractions and it's near some of the best food markets and restaurants in the world.
The Windows on Italy staff is extremely friendly and helpful and we would recommend this service, without a doubt!
The part of our stay we liked the least was having to pack up and leave. But we hope to return again very soon!!Response from Windows on Italy - 01/10/2011

appartement très bien situé à côté du musée des offices. tout le confort, avec accès à lave linge-sèche linge, fer à repasser..

We had a wonderful time in this lovely appartment. The welcome was absolutly
perfect : nice and kind. All was done to permit us to enjoy peacefully our stay
in town. The studio is central, very silent, comfortable, charming and well
equipped (we just missed a toaster for breakfasts). We had a nice vue on
Florence's roofs. All we needed was already there : good bed, wi-fi, many
informations about the city (shops, cinemas, taxis…).
