Description from the owner

This is a beautiful apartment on the first floor of a renaissance building looking onto the river Arno which runs through the heart of Florence, and is situated on the “lungarno” near piazza Poggi. From here you can reach the historic city centre (Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Signoria) in 5-8 minutes on foot.

The location offers a rare luxury for city dwellings; in other word it’s just a few steps from the centre but also possible to park your car. Opposite the flat is a public car park where there are always parking spaces available.

The apartment is really large and spacious with i...Read more

      Great but could be terrific

Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Five of us stayed in this very spacious apartment in Florence in april 2013. We really enjoyed our stay in apartment Torre. It's far enough from the centre of Florence to be quiet at night but close enough to be able to walk everywhere. Ten minutes gets you on the other side of the arno and another 5 gets you to Santa Croce. The Uffizi is at 12-15 minutes away. There is a little street close by with everything you might need: alimentari, restaurants, etc etc. It also has free internet.
In addition to being very large, the apartments has lovely furniture and as one other reviewer mentioned, it could easily be a 5 star with a coat of paint and a kitchen update. Curtains also need changing (both in the showers and windows).
Having said this, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends but I do hope that the owners decide to give it a little TLC, it would make such a big difference.

Florance with 5 or 6 People - 3 Bedroom Value

Left on 03/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed in Florance for 3 nights at apartment Torre with 5 adults. It is on the first floor which would be the us Second Floor. Their first floor is the ground floor. It has 3 large bedrooms with two full baths. Large Kitchen and a very large Living Room. This was our favorite apartment out of the three we stayed in Italy. Not rated 5 of 5 because it needs to be painted and the kitchen needs to be updated. It is difficult to work the dishwasher and the stove is below an electric receptacle that is melted from the heat. This could be a showplace with some care. It is about an 20 minute walk to the main tourist area. There is a grocery store on the same side of the river near the old bridge (Good Prices). Florence was our Favorite City of the 5 we visited. We did a walking tour on one day and on the next we went on a tour to Siena and San Gimignano (Both are must sees). Had dinner at two restaurants recommended in Rick Steves Guide book to Florance Trattoria anita and Trattoria l'cche C'e C'e both a little right of the Uffizi Gallary (Both were fantastic). Every good restaurant will not open for dinner until 7:00 or 7:30PM . Those earlier for the most part are tourist traps. Dinner prices are defiantly higher in Italy then in the States.

Excellent service from owner, Guilio of LodginginFlorence.com

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in April 2012

This was the second time I stayed in the apartment in Florence, Italy. First time wth family, second time with friends. Guilio was fantastic and I would recommend any property associated with LodginginFlorence.com. Easy communication via email prior to our visit. He met us promptly at our scheduled arrival time (he actually arrived an hour earlier), and showed us around the apartment. We had a question the second day and phoned him. He answered his cell phone and helped us out. Accomodated our checkout schedule and called a taxi for us. Definitely a reliable service-oriented company.
The apartment was perfect for our group of 4 women and located within easy walking distance to all the museums and restaurants.

      Really nice apartment and location

Left on 04/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The apartment is very spacious and clean. We would stay there again. The washing machine had a problem but Guilio got it fixed before we left. The kitchen has a nice eating area, but the appliances are a little outdated - perfectly usable though.

The location is close enough to town to walk, but there is a bus stop nearby also. Overall, I would say we had a great time staying there. It's an easy cab ride from the airport or train station.

Spacious, cosy and clean apartment for larger groups.

Left on 02/23/2010 for a stay in June 2009

I stay here with a group of friends in June 2009 and I highly recommend this
place, specially if you are 6-8 people. We came to Florence with a car and this
location was perfect since it's has parking right out side the entrance. The
apartment is very spacious, well decorated in a tuscan/italian cosy way and
clean! It also has a w/d which is very convenient if you are traveling around
Italy for a long time and need to do some laundry.

      great and easy experience!

Left on 01/29/2010 for a stay in January 2010

I recently stayed in the La Torre apartment for the second time, as i have previously had an amazing and easy experience there. The location is great, very calm on the river, with easy parking access and walking distance to the heart of Florence. The apartment is large and very homey in true Tuscan style. Service was excellent. I would recommend this apartment to anyone searching a stay in Florence.

      Nice experience in Florence

Left on 01/27/2010 for a stay in April 2009

We spent a week in Florence and thanks to this apartment we had the opportunity to have a real home were to relax and enjoy with our friends.
We were a group of 8 people and since the apartment had 3 double bderooms plus the double sofa bed (in the large saloon) we fitted perfect with no sensation of being to many.
The apartment was very clean and everything was in order. The lcoation is fantastic, from the livingroom you have the river view and the Piazza Poggi View. It is very near to the center (5min. walk) and is the best choice if you go to Florence by car or you rent one, since the apartment has a large public parking right in front.
