From the moment you meet Rosella, you feel as if you are visiting family. She made us feel very welcome and was very thorough in ensuring we would have a nice stay. The apartment is full of old world charm that makes one want to stay indoors rather than see one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There is no better location in Florence and one is close to all the major attractions and sights. It was very convenient to run upstairs and drop things off or freshen up before continuing sightseeing. To make things perfect, Around the corner is the wonderful Tratoria antico Fattore which will treat one like royalty especially if they know hat you are a guest of Rossella. Would definitely stay again.

Brisbane, AustraliaA delightful place to stay in Florence
Left on 03/26/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I stayed at Rosella's apartment in Florence for one week and did not want to leave. It has all the romance and charm of Florence all rolled up in those four walls. The decor is very much Tuscan style but also extremely comfortable with everything we needed for the week's stay. Everthing was immaculately clean and well maintained. Rosella's written information was very useful but she was also very helpful about anything we needed. We love second hand markets and were keen to see one in Italy. Rosella was once again able to direct us to one within walking distance. Everthing was in walking distance! Great position to all of the galleries, musums and landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi. High speed WiFi also meant finding everything easily.
Also I would have say that Rosella' apartment and Rosella' s welcome make the Uffizi apartment value for money. Hope to get back one day.

It is hard to know where to begin! The apartment is ideally located right next to the Uffizi Gallery, steps from Signoria Palazzo and steps to the river. There are several delicious restaurants on the side street right outside the door, and shops, more restaurants, bakeries, and the major sites all within 5- 10 minutes walking. And Rossella (the owner) has all of the information clearly written in a notebook that she shows when you arrive, and then if you wish, she will take you around the neighborhood and show you where it all is! Really above and beyond. She made my husband and I feel so welcome in this charming place. The apartment is spotless and equipped with everything you could need and more. The cozy living room was the perfect place to sit and unwind after a day of touring, have a glass of wine and reflect on all the marvelous things we had seen. We did not cook full meals, but everything was there for our use in the kitchen if we had wanted to do so. The bedroom is upstairs and provided a restful night's sleep on an incredibly comfortable mattress. And combined with a very quiet location with little outside noise, we slept soundly. The bathroom is square as opposed to the more typical narrow European bathrooms, and provides a bit more space to move around in. And while the apartment is located on what americans refer to as the third floor (called the second floor in Europe), there is a modern elevator that works very well and can transport you and your luggage to the apartment - this is fairly rare in Florence, so quite a perk. There is nothing we would change about the Uffizi apartment. We could not imagine a more perfect place to have rented - thank you, Rossella, for such a marvelous stay - we will come back and see you again!

Left on 11/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Yes, this was definitely my home while in Florence. From the moment I met Rossella and we went into the apartment I loved it. It was warm and homely. There were 2 bookshelves crammed with books on Florence to read up on before heading out to see for real and of course, recipe books. Rossella has a folder with information about local shops, how to shop for groceries, telephone number for English speaking doctor, how to call for an ambulance if need be. She really has thought of everything. She gave me a discount voucher for a restaurant around the corner from the apartment which was valid for my whole stay if I wanted. There was a bottle of Chianti wine and a packet of Florentine coffee as gifts. The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs. The bedroom was very comfortable with windows that opened up to the rear of nearby buildings and behind the apartment was the auditorium S. Stefano al Ponte Vecchio which had concerts each night I was there and if I opened the windows I could hear the beautiful music in the apartment. I went to a concert on my last night in Florence. Other than the beautiful music, there was no other noise and because there is no traffic in the street, was very peaceful.
The apartment has a small front loader washing machine which was fantastic and saved an hour or so sitting in a laundromat. Rossella has a fold up clothes airer which, because the bedroom was so large, was not in the way, and my washing dried quite quickly without the need for a clothes dryer. There is an iron and I think there may have been an ironing board but I didn't need to use either. There are even large umbrellas in the entry hall. Rossella even provides laundry washing powder , handwash and bath/shower foam.
The kitchen is small with a small fridge, microwave and 2 electric hotplates. There is also a toaster and stove top espresso coffee pot which I used more than anything.
The sitting room is cosy with a sofa which can be folded out to make a double bed. There is a dining table with 6 chairs and a lovely sideboard.
There is a TV and DVD/CD player and excellent wifi which I used for my iPad with no difficulties.
Throughout the apartment there are prints, statues and lamps that ooze "homely".
The location is perfect, literally a minute's walk from the front door to the Uffizi in one direction and the Ponte Vecchio in the other. Because of the location it was so easy to walk around and pop back to the apartment for a toilet break and yet another coffee, which of course is self defeating.
Rossella came back to the apartment the day before my departure and brought me more gifts to take home to remind me of Florence.
My experience in Florence in Casa di Rossella was perfect, I just wish it was mine!! -

Perfect location - warmest welcome
Left on 08/19/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Rossella's apartment is literally steps from the Uffizi Gallery (just behind!) in historic Florence, which is most practical to save on lunch/supper or to take a break during a long day visiting. Very calm - no noise from the streets even when they are full of tourists, and very comfortable bed. When the bedroom window was open (the apt's windows are equiped with mosquito nets), we loved to hear the city bells mark every hour! Price was very affordable considering the location. A very easy 20 min. walk from the train and bus stations. Very good high-speed Internet (but you need to have your portable computer/device) and a lift to the apartment - which I hear is quite rare in old buildings.
Rossella made us feel very welcome: bottle of chianti, voucher for a discount for a good restaurant... She showed us how things worked in the apartment (although she has a very good and detailed instruction manual for the house and tourism in Florence) and took us for a walk to show us the neighbourhood (bakery, grocery store, good gelato, wine stores, etc.). During our stay, she even helped us with the telephone booking process for the two main museums (advance booking compulsory at Uffizi and academia or prepare yourself to wait for hours). She was a perfect hostess. I certainly recommend her charming apartment. -

Left on 05/10/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We found the Uffizi apt on Tripadvisor and rented it based on both the 100% positive reviews and Rossella's rapid response time to our emails. When we arrived, we were greeted by Rossella who is quite simply, a lovely lady. She was extremely helpful in settling us into the apartment with instructions on how to use everything, a bottle of chianti, discount for the Tuscan restaurant downstairs and a gift for our 6 month old daughter. She also took the time to orientate us within the city by taking us for a brief walk.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable and actually larger than we expected! With regard to location, the apartment is incredibly central and is literally only steps away from the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio. We would happily stay were again and will recommend it to family and friends travelling to Italy. -

255100Location, comfort, a warm welcome, and a reasonable price
Left on 03/29/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The location couldn’t be better: almost next door to the Uffizi, just round the corner to the Ponte Vecchio over the arno (and a good supermarket), and walking distance to the train station. The apartment is beautifully decorated, and the bed is so comfortable that it took the wonders of Florence to persuade us to get up in the morning. Rossella made us feel very welcome, as though we were valued guests in her home. The lift is useful for getting upstairs with luggage, though it isn't too far up. If we ever return to Florence (and we hope we will), we’ll stay here again. Five stars, no question.
(One tip: don’t mix this place up with another rental on Trip advisor called “Uffizi apartment†– which might be very nice, but I couldn’t comment on it.) -

My husband and I just returned from a week at the Uffizi apartment – early March, a perfect time to visit Florence without the summer crowds! Rossella was at the apartment to greet us and get us oriented. She is gracious and so very very helpful! The apartment is darling and very comfortable – but, as they say, it’s “location, location, locationâ€. Right next to the Uffizi, a block from the arno and two blocks from the Ponte Vecchio, the setting could not have been more perfect, especially if you are planning a stay in Florence where walking will be your primary mode of transportation. The apartment itself is completely quiet for good sleeping conditions after busy days. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen sufficient (we really only made breakfast there) and the amenities like TV and a super-fast Wi-Fi network are nice to have. Outside temperatures were in the 50 to 60 degrees F, but we never had to turn up the heat and were very comfortable. There are lots of books about Florence (in English) in the apartment – so you don’t have to load up your luggage with travel guides, etc. and Rossella gives you a coupon to a very good restaurant that is right around the corner – be sure to use it! We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was just as described - just one minutes walk from the Uffizi Gallery. We really appreciated the welcome when we arrived. Rossella showed us the flat and explained how everything worked and also provided us with lots of information about Florence. She also took us on a walking tour to show us where the supermarket, bakery etc were, which although we have been to Florence before, was extremely useful. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rossella has many books in the apartment (in English) about Florence and Italy in general which we found very interesting. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment to a single person or couple who wanted somewhere to stay in the centre of Florence.

This is a fabulous place to stay, in the centre of a fabulous city. Rossella is so friendly and helpful. She met us on arrival and explained everything. She even took us on a walk around the local area to show us where to find excellent restaurants, take-aways, groceries and shopping. This apartment has everything you need (including treats on arrival) and is absolutely gorgeous and cosy - there is even a lift for the times you don't feel like walking up the steps. Location is perfect. The only way you could be closer to the Uffizi Gallery would be to be 'in' it.

I traveled to Florence with my 73 year old mother. No matter where you are searching out the magnificent food, art, or music in this fair city it is a pie of cake to return here. You can easily return for a midday pausa, some quiet or to sip coffee on the sofa and thumb through a beautiful book.
One of the wonderful benefits of renting this flat is the pleasure of meeting Rosella. She is welcoming and warm helping in every way she can. From wiring the funds for the reservation, direction on how to arrive via taxi or on foot, or getting to know your neighborhood, Rosella gives you friendly and helpful advise. Upon your arrival, you will learn the ins and outs of what to see, do and eat. Her pride in her city manifests itself in generosity, warmth and patience. You will be given the nuts and bolts of settling in while Rosella creates a feeling of home. She has pride in her city and in her home and she opens it to others so that she can share the joy in this marvelous nest!
We were in the apartment in January and we never used the heat, and were never cold. The lights and electric we used freely, including a small light that was left on when we slept and it was only 20 euro extra for 12 days.
I will recommend this place to every one I meet that is coming to Florence. I believe, because I did rub the snout of the boar everyday, that i too will return here and will always stay with Rosella. Arriva! There is a yummy surprise or two, a guide book to help you along, and a friendly Florentine or two that will help to make some very fine memories. -

San Francisco CAToo Good To Be True, But It Really Is.
Left on 03/20/2010 for a stay in February 2010
My wife and I had the pleasure of renting this apartment in February of this year. We didn't know what to expect, but friends had assured us that we would enjoy our stay and we did. The apartment was comfortably laid out with a small kitchen and living/dining room downstairs and a bedroom and full bath upstairs.
For our use, there were Art books written in English, an exhaustive compilation of local resources by the owner with suggested places to visit, and what must be described as provisions left for us. These included a bottle of a very nice Chianti, milk, Nutella, jam, tea, sugar, a pound of coffee, little packaged toasts
and a panini gift certificate for a small deli down the street.
All that food inspired my wife to do some cooking, not to save money, but to experience cooking and shopping in Florence. We had so often seen things in markets that we would like to try, but couldn't as hotel guests. So this trip we had Florentine sausages and eggs for breakfast and Chicken Cacciatore with polenta for dinner. Rosella had all the kitchen equipment we needed, and even provided soap for washing the dishes. This apartment made all the difference for us on this trip. We felt less like tourists and more like Italians. We have decided to use apartments from now on.
The cost was so little compared to a hotel, that this apartment makes Florence a perfect city to use as a base for daytrips to other Tuscan and Umbrian cities. We look forward to a longer stay next year. It was cold but our utility bill was only 12 euro for a full week. Even though we have traveled to Florence many times over the last 25 years, we saw more this trip than on any other, because we could afford to stay for an entire week.

San Francisco, CaliforniaCharming Isn't the Half Of It...
Left on 03/15/2010 for a stay in October 2009
This apartment transports you to another time and place. From the Uffizi reproduction paintings and prints on the walls to beamed wooden ceilings and stairs to the bedroom, this apartment makes it easy to imagine yourself a true Florentine. I live in a modern home, so the mood set by the muted decor, embroidered linens, and antique furniture was very appealing and surprising in many ways. The owner, Rossella, has put so much detail and effort into setting this mood, much more than anyone would reasonably expect in a vacation rental. It's obvious that she is emotionally invested in providing a unique experience for her guests.
I've rented other places and have never seen a binder, so loaded with information for the traveler, including places to buy food, stores, outdoor markets, gelaterie, restaurants, Internet sites. This woman has thought of everything and I tried many of her recommendations with wonderful results. I recommend that you read through her binder before you start your week. You won't need to bring a guidebook with you.
The location is exactly as stated with the Uffizi just across the street, and the Arno river one block away. The Ponte Vecchio is less than half a block from there. I cannot wait to go back! Of all the rentals I saw online, this was one of very few to have an elevator. Rossella is very easy to contact by phone and was so helpful and gracious; she's as charming as the apartment. The small charge for electricity was small indeed. We only paid 8 euros for 6 nights. The apartment is very secure and on a quiet street.
