  We stayed there for 2 weeks after a few days in Casa Toscana in the Palazzo, which was also great, and bit bigger. This was our third stay in the Palazzo and we will be back. The flat was very clean and comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen. We loved having breakfast and dinner on the balcony with its views of the roofs of Florence to the dome of the Duomo, and its outlook onto Santa Croce and its Piazza. Cecile and Francesca give great service. They leave information in the flat about Florence and the locale and there are number of books and guide left in the room The bedrooms are quiet as each is on the other side from the Piazza. We love the location, and going to the San ambrogio markets nearby

  A Dream of Beauty

  Staying at the Palazzo is like living in a dream of beauty. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to all the important tourist sites in Florence. The Belvedere apartment, where I stayed, was spacious, had elegant furniture and a sunny terrace with a table--ideal for meals. Although it's an historic building, it has all the modern conveniences, 2 bathrooms, a dishwasher, washer and drier, well heated, so the best of both worlds--living in an ancient palace but with 21 century comfort. In the neighborhood many excellent restaurants and grocery stores so one can choose to eat in or out. the apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated with antique prints of Florence on the walls, lots of sun, a block from Michelangelo's house. But what I loved was it's only two blocks from the arno, but not the tourist arno near the Ponte Vecchio. By surprise I discovered another arno, with a rushing cascade, ducks and swans, and a beautiful park--it was like being in the country. So each morning I took a stroll along this hidden arno. What a wonderful way to start the day!

  A Most Wonderful Experience

  In 2008 we spent three wonderful months at Palazzo antellesi, and we relished every day and experience in Florence and in Tuscany. The apartment buidling, which was originally a family Palazzo dating from the 12th century, is centrally located in the historic district of this ancient city. Within comfortable walking distance are so many of the jewels of the artistic and architectural heritage of the Medici era that one easily becomes an ardent fan of this period in western civilization. We stayed in three different apartments, and all were equipped with modern amentinies, and the decor in each was superb and in keeping with the ambiance of the neighborhood and the historical tradition. All this can be viewed readily on the website of Pallazo antellesi.com. Lastly, we appalud the gracious and most helpful demeanor of the staff that manages and maintains Palazzo antellesi.
