Description from the owner
The loft is full of light, having windows on all four sides, which makes it joyful and ambient. Another great thing about this unit is that it is just a moment away from the heart of the city, but it is also an attic on the top floor which makes it incredibly silent as well.
Moreover, in the silence, you can enjoy overlooking the cupola of Brunelleschi from the window facing north, the hills of Fiesole from the one facing east, San Miniato and Forte Belvedere from the window facing south and the Palazzo Vecchio from the one facing west.
The apartment has everything that is needed. Downstairs there is a very beautiful

Additional Location Information
Stay in the Loggia is like being on the deck of a ship, but there isn't under the sea, but the city of Florence. It dominates the whole city and its finest monuments, thanks to large windows that surround on three sides. We admire from the south east to south west, the church of San Miniato, the Michelangelo's Forte Belvedere, the tower of the Bargello, the church of the Badia and the Palazzo della Signoria, then we move the eyes to admire the dome of Brunelleschi and the Bell Tower of Giotto, ending with the hills of Fiesole located on the north side of the house. This sense of ownership of the city is almost inebriant, the breathing is full and rewarding, surrounded by so much beauty you can breathe differently and live with a complete awareness. Reading, listening to good music, go out and be in the heart of the city give a particular character to this small house and yet so large. Few can be in Florence and dominate it both spiritually and practically. No noise comes to the Loggia, but just get to be immersed in everyday life and masterpieces that are intensely aware of Florence, perhaps, the most artistic city in the world. Tuscan cusine offers intense flavors and aromas while cooking simple, almost poor, vegetables and meat are combined to bring out their natural qualities. There are food markets in the area of Sant'Ambrogio and San Lorenzo, where you can find farmers who sell the their products. The shopping is varied: the shops of high fashion in Via Tornabuoni, in the stalls of Piazza San Lorenzo there is something for every purse. Restaurants and wine shops are everywhere, in Florence, home of Chianti Classico. The theaters offer very good music and performances.

My wife and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Loggia apartment. It is cozy, well equipped, well located, with spectacular views of Florence. The owner provided a good orientation upon our arrival. We are planning another vacation in Florence and hope to stay in this lovely apartment again.

This was our favorite apartment of our two week stay in in Italy. The apartment is cozy and cute, and the huge windows make you feel as if you are sitting outside on a porch. Just perfect! It really felt as if we were in our own place at home where we could totally relax and unwind. There is one flight of stairs, then a lift, then another flight of stairs to get to the apartment. This could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the bathroom is halfway up a winding staircase and the bedroom is at the top. The owner is most gracious and lives one flight down from the apartment. She made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant for our anniversary (Ristorante San Michele all'Arco). I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

South WalesJust what you need
Left on 06/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012
If you visit Florence, especially in the really busy times, you need somewhere in the Old Town, somewhere with air conditioning and somewhere that feels like a 'home-from-home' that can provide the much needed respite from the beautiful city. Our stay at La Loggia provided all of this and more. Our host Beatrice lives next door and achieved the perfect balance of presence and leaving us alone. The views from each window are just as described. And the welcoming bottle of wine was a really good drink! The only reservation I would have would be its suitability for anyone who does not have good mobility. The bed is in a loft/mezzanine floor accessed by a circular staircase. Not good for anyone with dodgy legs.

My girlfriend and I spend a week in Beatrice's wonderful apartment in July 2011. We were delayed flying in due to strong winds, and arrived rather late at the apartment. This was no problem however, and the wonderful hostess, Beatrice, had a nice bottle of red wine ready to greet us with. The apartment is great for a couple, with lots of space, large bathroom with washer and kitchen with all you need. The view is spectacular 360 degrees over Florence and the hills, and something you will not grow tired of! If you are looking for a relaxing, spacious, clean place in the absolute center of Florence and with great value for money, choose this place!

The apartment could not have been a better choice, in every way.
The apartment is located in a finely renovated historical building in the heart of Florence. It is spacious, conveniently located for all the sightseeing and offers breathtaking views of the city!
Our host was very gracious and always a wonderful help!
