My 8-year-old daughter and I came to Florence for 7 weeks in the fall of 2013, and this was a perfect apartment for us. Some details that made this apartment stand out for us was the air conditioning, washing machine, full bath, and separate bedroom. The bedroom was on a central courtyard rather than the street, so it was very quiet. There was a desk, small kitchen table, and a large dining table, which made it easier for me to set up a work area for myself and a homework area for my daughter.
We had some problems with the wireless internet. It was not working when we arrived, so I used the wireless at local restaurants for a few days. There is a list of free WiFi areas at the tourist info centre by the Duomo. Then, it was working, but sometimes, it would be very fast, and then it would slow down for no apparent reason. I put up with it for a while before calling the landlord, and I only wished that I'd called earlier. Apartments Florence immediately came out with a mobile hotspot, so I had two options for wireless connections, and they started working on getting internet cable hooked up directly to the apartment. I was pleasantly surprised by their quick response in fixing the issue!
The location was perfect for us. We discovered that the train station was 20 minutes away by bus (circuitous route) or 20 minutes away by walking (direct route), which made travel throughout Italy convenient. Within Florence, all of our favourite places were a short walk away. We can't wait to return!

My son and I recently traveled to explore Florence and surrounding cities. Malenchini (through apartments Florence) provided perfect accomodations. A large bed in single bedroom and sofa in living room offers lots of sleeping options. Separate kitchen, bathroom (plus living room and bedroom) provides lots of space. One building away from the arno river (one bridge away from Ponte Vecchio) and maybe two blocks (very short walk) from Uffizi gallery. The location is excellent, although other sites such as the academie are a bit farther away - all walkable. Be sure to go for incredibly good (and inexpensive) food on Neri street just behind you. You can eat extremely well on a very small budget. Cesare (manager or owner?) was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns and we had very positive interactions with each team member we met (Matias and Gian). Nice group of people. You do pay for electricity/water beyond rental - but that is clear in contract (and Cesare reminds you so no surprises), but don't forget to budget for that. We turned off the frig and unplugged tv (we ate out every meal and who would want a tv in Florence) so got away with very very little final expenses. Obviously, we are not luxury-minded nor wanted an artificial 'Ritz' experience. If you want Florence - a great place.

The apartment was located minutes from the ponte vecchio, the uffitci, piazza senoria, san lorenzo market, etc. The apartment was quiet, spacious, and my daughter and I felt very safe and secure. There are 46 steps to the apartment door. Read more
Ciao Pamela! Nice to hear from you. We always want to make sure that those 46 steps don't overshadow our clients' experiences in Florence. Hope to hear from you soon. Arrivederci!

Our family of four (which includes two children ages 5 and 6) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Via Malenchini, a lovely apartment between Santa Croce and the the Uffizi and just five minutes to Ponte Vecchio. The apartment had everything we needed: nice kitchen, spacious bedroom and living room, which had a pull out couch. Kitchen was fully equipped and we had some great meals at home. The washing machine was also nice to have with two small--and messy--kids. It's within walking distance to almost everything, including two amazing gelaterias (one on Via de Neri and La Carraia two blocks away). Great Conad supermarket on the other side of Ponte Vecchio (about 10 minute walk). Fantastic restaurants nearby as well. We had a great and memorable vacation. Thanks to Christine, Nicco, and everyone for making our two week stay in Florence stress-free and easy. Christine was lovely to deal with and patiently answered all my questions. We'll be back for sure!

The service we received from Apartments Florence; Nicco, Lorenzo and Christine was outstanding from start to finish even with all of the rescheduling due to the Volcano eruption.
The apartments location could not be better just a few short minutes to everything; main attractions, food markets and restaurants. The apartment is well layed out with lots of natural light and on a quite street; you do not need anything as all of the amenities are provided. There was a hairdryer missing and within a few hours one was at our door.
The apartment overall was comfortable and clean but could use a refresh.
If I owned an apartment in Florence I would want these guys to run it for me!

I was in Florence for the month of November and stayed at via malenchini 1. The apartment was great with a lot of room, a complete kitchen, and enough space for me to entertain my friends. I have rented apartments in Florence for over eight years. This is the first time I had used Apartments Florence and was so happy with the professionalism, service and personal care that I received that any renting in the future will only be through Lorenzo and Apartments Florence. I have already booked another return! There are a lot of apartments available and the website gives complete information. Consideration is given to good locations and available supermarkets. The shops in the neighborhood carried every thing I needed and the shop owners were very warm and hospitable. Wonderful restaurants and bars in the area. I can't say enough about the staff. Response to any questions or needs was immediate. An extra hug to Christine who was not only my neighbor but also became a good friend!

We are a family of four from the US that stayed a
month in this apartment in the spring of 2010. We
enjoyed every minute, and we would definitely
The apartment is well set-up and large. Our two
daughters slept in the bedroom - we pulled apart
the large bed into 2 twin beds. We (parents) slept
on the pull-out couch, and it was one of the more
comfortable beds we've ever slept on. Usually
pull-out couches are terrible; this one is
The kitchen is well-stocked. The apartment has
tons of storage space and plenty of places to sit.
There are many windows, so it always feels light
The location is superb. It's right on the edge of
the main tourist area - you can be in the main
square in 2-5 minutes. It's also on the edge of a
more Italian (less touristy) neighborhood.
There are 2 grocery stores and a lovely, charming,
excellent market within easy walking distance. The
food in Florence is fabulous. We mostly cooked
fresh pasta, which is not too expensive and sooooo
We worked mostly with Christine, and she was
extremely helpful and responsive -- before we
arrived, upon check-in (telling us where everything
was in the neighborhood), and during our stay.
The one con about the apartment was the internet
connection. It was decent, but only in the bedroom
and the kitchen, not in the main room. That was a
mild inconvenience, but it wasn't a big deal.
All in all, it was a great place to stay. We would
stay there again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I spent 10 days during the Christmas holidays in Malenchini 3
and were very pleased with our stay there. The apt. is large and comfortable
with great living space. The living room/dining area is perfect to serve dinner
or use as desk space for the wireless internet which is provided. The kitchen is
very well equipped and spacious for an apt. One of the big advantages of apt.
rental is being able to have your meals there and a grocery/market is located
just round the corner. Also, the location of the apt. is fabulous in that you can
walk easily to the Piazza Signoria, Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, as well as
the Santa Croce and Santo Spirito areas. There is minimal noise from the
street, plus there are shutters that close for sleeeping. In addition, the team of
Lorenzo, Nicco, and Christine were so very helpful. We would definitely rent
this apt. again on our return. It was a fantastic Christmas in Florence.
