ScotlandA quality apartment in an ideal location
Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed in the Maggio 34 for 11 nights in mid September 2012. On the instructions from the booking we phoned the agent upon arrival at Florence airport and jumped in a taxi. 25 euro and 20 minutes later Gian Marco was patiently waiting outside the entrance door on the Via Maggio. He assisted us up to the apartment (this apartment building is not suitable for wheelchair users) and did a very comprehensive welcome and arrival brief, including complimentary bottle of Chianti. Nothing is left out and if it were, it would be written in a very detailed welcome folder anyway. Full instructions on operating the TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, gas boiler,... etc, etc. Our first impression of the apartment was that the photographs hadn't lied at all. The place is spacious and very tastefully decorated with a nice quality of furniture and appliances. It is obviously well looked after as it is very clean and everything is in good condition. There are no hidden nasties with Maggio 34 and you get everything you are promised. All the appliance worked well and the kitchen is plenty big enough to be able to cook in comfort, although there are so many excellent restaurants in the immediate area that this may not be required. There is a good quality TV and DVD player but sadly very little international TV channels (BBC World News only). If you have a Media player or I pad with aV outlet then the TV is capable of multi type inputs such as scart or av cables. The wifi signal is excellent and we had no issues despite 2 apple tablet devices and one laptop. The apartment is quiet at night and no street noise was ever noticed. I can't complete this review without, like everyone else, mentioning the location. Right in the heart of a stunningly beautiful city. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. The service of the agent was just right (not too imposing or distant), the decor and condition is excellent and the location perfect. Couldn't have been better!!!

The apartment on Via Maggio is so well located. You have easy access to both sides of the arno. It has everything you need for wonderful stay in Firenze. The kitchen has all the tools to make great meals. There is an excellent market close by on Via Bardi. Good restaurants in the neiborhood too. The arrival and departure was made very easy by the wonderful mgmt. team.

The apartment is definitely in a very quiet area, with the lovely Santo Spirito basilica just round the corner. We loved enjoying our first coffee of the day on the square, where there are a variety of coffee bars. On arrival we were greeted by very helpful staff and the apartment is spacious enough for two, although it looks lighter and roomier on the picture.
The location is within walking distance of the old town and all the sights are easily reachable by foot. -

LondonA lovely stay south of the river
Left on 10/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed in the apartment as the first stop in our honeymoon and it was lovely - spacious, well equiped and most importantly ideally located. We would recommend the south of the river to anyone wanting to stay in Florence if they want to be close to everything but away from the touristy hussle and bussle. It feels more authentic and there's loads of little shops and restaurants just moments away and we happily walked across the river and over to the main attractions each day.

Via Maggio offers a quiet respite from the bustle of Florence and the stress of sight seeing. High ceilings, wonderful shower, a nicely outfitted kitchen and lovely light offering secluded views. The location is fabulous - steps to Ponte Vecchio, groceries, fruit markets, wine shops and great resturants. The service was terrific with check in and out on time and very helpful. Highly recommended.

A great location for our stay in Florence...close to some great restaurants, cafes and major landmarks. Everything in this apartment that you could need to enjoy your time in this wonderful city. However, the stairs are a definite challenge!
Loved Florence so much we took another apartment from this company on the other side of town for another week.Response from Apartments Florence - 11/23/2010

I have just returned from a 4-week stay in Via Maggio apartment 34. The service I received from apartments Florence was outstanding. From the moment I made the enquiry, until I left the apartment. I had a small problem with the washing machine and it was attended to immediately without any inconvenience to me. I will definitely stay with them the next time I am fortunate enough to return to Florence. I also highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to rent in Florence and is a little hesitant and unsure of what to expect. You will be in good hands and are made to feel as though you already have friends before you get there! Thank you all of you!!

LondonGorgeous apartment in a fantastic location
Left on 09/23/2010 for a stay in August 2010
I would highly recommend the Via Maggio apartment. I stayed there for 2 nights at the end of august 2010. The apartment was fantastic - light, airy, and beautifully decorated; modern, but still in keeping with the classic architectural style of the building. I particularly liked the clever use of storage space. The location is great, just around the corner from piazza Santo Spirito, so it has a genuine Florentine feel, but is near several cool bars and restaurants. I will definitely be coming back to this apartment when I return to Florence for a 3 month stay. I'd dealt with Christine via email, and Lorenzo met me at the apartment; both were friendly, efficient and professional.

Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A.Fabulous apartment in Santo Spiritu, Oltarno area
Left on 09/22/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This one bedroom in the Santo Spiritu neighborhood is perfect. It is light, spacious and well-equipped. I loved the neighborhood --- it was right near the Pitti Palace and many cute restaurants. The market was right around the corner. There is plenty of storage in the apartment and the kitchen has all amenities available, including a washer. The furnishings were perfect and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and check-out were easy, as a representative met me at the apartment upon my arrival and even changed their usual procedures to accommodate my schedule for check out. I had a couple of minor glitches --- I tripped a circuit breaker at one point --- and these were also quickly and easily dealt with by Lorenzo, Christina and Nicco. The apartment is air-conditioned, but it is "Italian" air conditioning, so do not expect U.S. style temperatures in Florence in the summer. The apartment is located on the third floor of the building (no elevator), and the steps are steep, so this could be an issue if you are less mobile or uncomfortable climbing stairs. I did struggle a bit to get my suitcase up there!
All in all, a great experience and I defiinitely would stay here again!
