LondonLovely, well-equipped apartment in great location!
Left on 11/15/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Marina was extremely helpful from the moment we contacted her to book our five night stay in Florence. She gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, valuable information about the local area and was happy to make any bookings for museums etc we needed.
From the moment we entered the clean, warm and cosy apartment we felt at home. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped providing all you could want for a self-catering break or longer stay. From the roof terrace there is a great view of the immediate area and provides a warm and sunny place to enjoy a glass of wine and delicious food bought from the local market.
The location was perfect for access to all that Florence has to offer and is only a ten minute walk from the Duomo and Uffizzi. The wonderful daily outdoor/indoor food and clothing market is two minutes from the flat in addition to many restaurants, bars and local shops. There is also good access to public transport making it easy to explore beyond the city. We particulaly enjoyed a bus trip to the nearby hilltop town of Fiesole where you have a breathtaking view back into Florence.
We had a fabulous time and have already recommended Marina's apartment to family and friends. We still have have much more to see in Florence and hope to return next year to stay at Marina's again!

Washington, Tyne and Wear, United KingdomAn excellent spacious apartment with rooftop terrace
Left on 10/26/2011 for a stay in June 2011
A very comfortable hideaway near the centre of Florence.
Excellent good value restaurants in abundance right on the doorstep.
All main cultural attractions are within easy walking distance.
Florence is a very welcoming city, Marina you are an excellent ambassador for such a beautiful city.
The market should not be missed as the selection of food enough to wet the appetite of lovers of Italian food.
Our love of the location, rooftop terrace and relaxing surroundings made it easy to book for 2012, this time for two weeks. -

BlandfordI cannot recommend Marina's apartment too highly!
Left on 10/26/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This was the second time we had stayed in this apartment (the first was in May 2008), and we would happily go back again. Marina is charming, helpful and very welcoming. There were two of us and we were very comfortable, enjoying eating on the terrace overlooking the market square at every opportunity. The centre of Florence is easily accessible from the apartment, and we walked everywhere. There is an excellent baker's two minutes' from the apartment for morning brioches, and many good restaurants in the vicinty. I cannot recommend Marina's apartment too highly!

Brisbane, AustraliaSlice of Heaven in Firenze - Living like a local
Left on 10/25/2011 for a stay in December 2009
Absolutely perfect! The apartment is even better than the pictures on the website. Much larger than we expected. Roof terrace was a special bonus, even though it was winter. The kitchen was a blessing - perfect for making some home-cooked meals with provisions from the fresh markets just around the corner. We even hosted a few friends for lunch one day - perfecto! The washing machine, large fridge/freezer, gas cooktop and WiFi internet were essential for our one month stay at the beginning of a six month trip. Wonderful location close to everything but not touristy at all. Less than a 5 minute walk to our Italian language school (Michelangelo) and we enjoyed walking to the Duomo and other sites every day (even in the middle of winter). We loved all the Christmas lights in the streets. Even though a bit cold for aussies used to 30 degrees celcius plus at home at this time of year. December is a very good time of year to visit charming Firenze - no lining up for Uffizi or other attractions - except for around the Christmas holidays - when we saw the lines we were grateful that we had already "done the museums, etc" at the beginning of December. Our friends are very envious of the photos and video we have shown them of our time in Firenze, particularly our charming Italian apartment. Some of Firenze's best restaurants/cafes/bakeries and pasticcerias (Dolci Patrizzio was our favourite - just past the local supermarket - which we frequented every other day) are situated right at the doorstep. We highly reccomend this apartment to all looking for a chance to "live like a local" in Firenze - even if you (like us) can't speak Italian.
Thanks so much Marina. You know we will be in touch soon and look forward to staying in your lovely apartment again.
Ps Take the no 7 bus from Piazza San Marco for a magical visit to scenic Fiesole - only a 20 to 30 minute trip and well worth it. Other than that, no transport is necessary other than your feet and good walking shoes!

Marina is a delightfully welcoming host, helpful, thoughtful and reliable who enables you to feel her home is your home for your stay.
This perfect bohemian setting, with scrumptious food, local artists and artisans is in a warm and accepting community. The magic of the Rennaisance is accessible on foot with a funky modern apartment to relax and reflect in. Perche no won our own personal gelato festival!
