I'll receive you in my office where I will give you all the information with a map of the city and give you all the advice to go to the best market, find a good pizza, a tasty ice cream etc.. and if you want we can book a place at any restaurant you choose.
Then I'll show you all the tours we have to visit Florence, Siena, Pisa,Lucca, 5 Terre, Chianti, etc.
I can also book your tickets for Uffizi and Accademia so when you arrive you'll already have the appointment to enter without long waits on line.

This was a wonderful apartment right in the heart of Florence. The Central Market was right out the door and the Duomo, Uffizi Museum, and nearly all major attractions could be reached on foot within 10-15 minutes even with kids. Rosana (and her daughter Sharon) is a wonderful host and will ensure you know everything about the area and are well taken care of. Highly recommended for families with 2 children or less.

Super location, right near a big market and smack in the middle of the street kiosks. Was easy to find, clean and just the right size.
Thank you to Rossana who was so friendly and helped us find her after a long 19-hour day! She even sent a photo of my daughter back to the us for my wife to see after our arrival. Great service - really nice apartment. -

Our family of four (19 & 16 year old sons) had a wonderful, comfortable stay at Rossana and Sharon's apartment. First, Rossana speaks excellent English and provides excellent customer service. During our stay she was just a call or email away.
The apartment was clean and comfortable in an old historic building. The wi-fi was very good even with all four of us online at once. In December, the apartment was plenty warm with just the radiators but there are also additional heating units. With an on-demand water heater we never ran out of hot water for showers. The apartment had a well-supplied kitchen and we appreciated the "starter" supplies of dish soap, sponge, toilet paper, bath soap, etc. There is a supermarket near the train station about a 5-10 minute walk.
The location was fantastic, across from the Mercato Centrale (have a boiled beef sandwich from Nerbone's!) with the San Lorenzo Market just outside the front door. But I promise you will not hear any market noise and the bedrooms are in the back so it is very quiet at night. The sights are all within easy walking distance and there are many pedestrian only streets so walking is very pleasant. There are many great eating options close by. Our friends who stayed by the Duomo walked to the Mercato every morning for cappucinos & shopping - she recommends the fresh pasta.

The rental office is very close to the apartment so we just took a cab from the Florence airport (very economical for 4 people) to the office arriving around 8pm. After taking care of business it was a five minute (flat) walk to the apartment. Rossana provided excellent service during our stay. We had a few small problems and Rossana came over quickly even though once was Saturday evening and the other time was early morning. We had a very early departure flight so Rossana came over the night before to check the apartment and refund our security deposit. She also reserved a cab to pick us up at 5am!

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The market across the road is a real asset and we cooked in the apartment most nights with ingredients from there and from a nearby excellent supermarket (which also sells a great range of wine). The market is also good for coffee too - we recommend Cafe del Mercato. Rossana and Sharon were very helpful and informative. The central location, within walking distance of the main train station and close to the main sights, was excellent.

Rossana (the owner) was very friendly and helpful and only a phonecall away if needed. We contacted her upon our arrival at Santa Maria Novella station and she met us very near to the apartment and took us there. It is no more than a slow ten minute walk from the station which is handy.
The apartment was clean and cosy and perfectly suited our family; my daughter, my partner and my father. It would also be suitable for one more adult as there is a sofabed in the sitting room / kitchen.
Despite the leather market being on the doorstep,the hustle and bustle could not be heard inside the apartment when the windows were closed. (The stalls are taken down every night and put back up very early in the morning).
The kitchen was well-equipped to make meals there (for when you're fed up of eating out and/or funds are running low!) We bought food at the market across the road and also at a nearby supermarket (on Via Nazionale near SMN station).
The bedrooms and bedding were clean and comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard space for clothes and suitcases.
The flat is ideally situated within about five minutes from Il Duomo, which you can use as a reference point to get back home after a hard day sightseeing.
As we left very early in the morning Rossana came to see us the evening before to return the (full) deposit.
We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and we hope to return there ourselves in the future as there is still so much to see in Florence.

We stayed for four nights in early July. The location is terrific. Rossana is so helpful, informative, available and a new friend. The apartment is small and efficient but was perfect for our family. The Mercato Centrale and San Lorenzo Market are just outside the front door. The kitchen and amenities were great for us. I highly recommend staying here. In early July, the apartment was very hot but I"m sure it would be great in cooler months. In order to cool the apartment, we closed the blinds tightly in the morning and then opened them up when the sun was not so hot. The breeze at night was good and she does provide fans which help. The Wifi always worked perfectly.

We loved this apt. & location. We could anywhere we needed to go. Rossana is now my friend & did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The apt was clean & well stocked for us. It was very hot in Florence but apt cooled down nicely at night. Everyone was soo nice to us even the street vendors. Will come back & recommend to friends. cwb

The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the historic old town - 2 minutes from San Lorenzo, 5 minutes walk from the amazing Duomo, 10 minutes from the Ufizi and academia galleries. It is also conveniently close to the central station (5 minutes walk) and literally across the road from the most amazing fresh food market. There are dozens of restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and a Spar supermarket 100m up the road. We felt like guests rather than tourists, and Rosanna was always close at hand if we needed anything. The apartment is literally in the middle of the amazing San Lorenzo market and across the road from the Mercato Centrale so I thought it might be noisy, but we heard nothing from the road. The bedrooms are at the back of the apartment away from the road, and the double-glazed windows are virtually sound-proof. We were amazed every morning when we woke up to find that the market had been set up outside our apartment without us hearing a thing. I would strongly recommend the apartment for anyone who wants to visit the 'real' Florence!

Rossana was wonderful both before and during our stay, keeping in quick contact with us, providing us directions and being at the door of the building to greet us. She gave us the current information about events in Florence the weekend of our stay and made some recommendations for shopping, food and sights to see. She also made sure we had her phone number if we needed anything at all during our stay. Fantastic service!
The apartment was exactly as advertised and pictured in the listing. Even though it's located in the middle of the San Lorenzo market, we never heard a thing; we had no issues with noise or having our sleep interrupted. The kitchen was more than adequate to our needs and the entire apartment was clean, warm and comfortable. The apartment was easy to access while still feeling secure.
We only had to walk a few minutes to everything we wanted to see in Naples - in addition, being across the street from the central food market and a short walk from a wonderful variety of tourist-friendly restaurants made the location ideal and we will certainly be back on our next visit to Florence!Response from Sharon & Rossana - 03/03/2012

The owner was lovely and helpful. The apartment is located right next to the central market where you can get your morning coffee and breakfast. It is great to see the market come to life each morning from you window and yet it is a very quiet location at night.

What a great place, full size kitchen with oven, and a dishwasher oh my gosh that was such a bonus. Kitchen looks just like the picture and it was very clean. A table with 6 chairs, 2 couches, so comfortable. Rossana met us and showed us around, she even has a board full of touristy information with a map marking great places to eat and what the local delicacies are and where they are available, and if you want to self tour it is all marked on the map. We were very central to everything and being right in the middle of the market was so much fun, looking out the living-room window we saw across the street "the Central Market" so easy to shop for fresh food. The view from our bedroom is fantastic,exactly like I had imagined. Great shower and very large bright bathroom with another roof top view. We will definitely stay here again and have passed this gem to my friends who are planning a trip to Florence soon. Dec, 2011

Rosanna met us as promised - full of enthusiasm and advice for a our short stay in Firenze. We are a family of 5 on a budget trip attending a family wedding over the weekend. The apartment is not big but well planned and every space used. It has the typical and beautiful feel of an Italian home. The place was spotless and extremely cosy with everything necessary for a family stay. The apartment overlooks the busy leather market. Directly opposite is the covered food market where everything you could wish for can be found. We didn't even make breakfast preferring to pop across for coffee and a pastry. Everything was in walking distance from us so we did not need a vehicle. Great value for money!
