Allegri is located in a very typical, lively district: S.Croce.
(the partment overlooks its own private garden, so no noise from the street will disturb you) . The famous S.Croce church is close by, as are most of the must-see places, like Signoria, Duomo, and the museums like Uffizi and Bargello. Visit the nice S.Ambrogio market to buy fresh greeneries from the countryside and other intetersing Italian products- have a look at the flee- market ( P.zza dei Ciompi) and the many antique shops. Nightlife: many fashionable restaurants in the neighbouhood: the topscale Enoteca Pinchiorri ( unique, pricy), the well-known Cibreo and its Renaissance cooking, and many many others, from the simplest pizza-houses to the most sophisticated restaurants.
A very nice wine-bar and restaurant is in the same block, just beside the apartment - it is owned by an Englishman
