All the main sights and attractions of Florence are within an easy walk including the Santa Croce church, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Il Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio.

The property is fully air conditioned and comprises of an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, bathroom and bedroom. It has beautiful wooden floors throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, electric oven and... hob, washing machine and dryer, coffee machine and toaster. A sleek modern dining table seats 4 and there is a bright, spacious living are with chairs and seating for 4. Stairs lead to a mezzanine level where there is a double bed and small wardrobe. Florence is an absolutely wonderful city to visit at any time of year. Visitors shouldn't miss the Piazza del Duomo, the Bargello, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi, Santa Maria Novella, San Lorenzo, San Miniato al Monte, Palazzo Pitti, Santa Croce and Santa maria del Carmine. Once you've visited all the historic sites of Florence, make sure you put a bit of time aside for some shopping too. Florence boats numerous street markets allowing visitors to immerse themselves in local culture whilst finding a bargain or two along the way. One of the liveliest is the San Lorenzo market (daily except Sundays) whilst in Santa Croce, you'll find the best farmers market in town (7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon-Sat). In this area, you can also find a flea market near Piazza Delle Pulci whilst more serious antique shoppers should head to visit Piazza San Spirito on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The shops in the centre of Florence are also fantastic, but for those visitors looking for serious bargains, Florence boasts a couple of excellent outlet malls including The Mall Outlet and the Baberini Designer Outlet (www.themall.it and www.mcarthurglen.it), both just 30 minutes outside the city. The city also has some excellent restaurants, clubs and cafe bars. The restaurants range from ultra modern to extremely traditional and both come highly recommended! If you want to use Florence as a base to explore other Italian cities, Siena is about 45 minutes away and you can get there either via bus or train. The bus tends to be quicker and cheaper though. (www.sena.it). Pisa is an hour by bus and Rome is just over 90 minutes away by Eurostar train. Closer to home, there is some beautiful countryside around Florence. We can arrange visits to local vineyards to sample the wines, cheese tasting or visits to olive groves to experience some true Italian culture. On top of this there is a final cleaning fee of 60 euros payable locally on arrival. Guests also pay for the cost of any electricity used during their stay on departure. This includes air conditioning and heating when applicable.
