Lovely apartment in the hearth of Florence

My apartment is situated at the 3rd floor in a small building in a silent and narrow street between the river Arno and Tornabuoni street, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery, very close to all shops, banks and pharmacies..

It was my grandparents apartment...my grandfather won the apartment playing the lottery in 1960.

They have been living there until their death, when my parents and I decided to restore and divide in 2 smaller apartments.

Needless to say that the apartment is for me something very special...a place where I grew up and loved.

We have restored it with love and passion, taking care to pres...erve the rustic tuscan look....the greater part of the furniture belonged to my grandparents.. The Beatrice apt is a little piece of Florence in Florence. despite the 3rd floor you are really in the centre of everything!

The furniture, the decorations, the original ceilings...everything speaks about the rustic and tuscan feeling.

I think that beyond visiting a place you have above all to live it...and your holiday apartment has to give you an emotion when you enter in.

It has to make you feel at home away home. That's what I try to convey throught my little "jewel"!

The Beatrice been recently restored by us ourselves according to the rustic Tuscan taste. It is composed by a lovely bedroom (twin or double), a large and sunny Tuscan kitchen, a living room with a tv corner, a mezzanine with a double sofa bed extra 1,5 sofabed in the living room) and a bathroom (with shower). Additional Location Information

We are in the hearth of the old Florence, between the station and the river.
The area is lively, full of old and new shops where everypeople knows everypeople. It's like a small city in the city. There is Francesco with his grocery, Ada and her old bakery, the Rosticceria La Spada attracting with his smell everybody passing in front, Torello with his old and famous Latini Restaurant...Laura will wait for you with a strong coffee to make you start the day, Giorgio instead is the King of the T-bone steak!!
You cross the river at the sunset, and you find the Carraia Gelateria, the paradise of the real italian ice-creams. Too much close for my diet!
If you came by car, you have to know that the historical centre is not allowed to no resident cars. I advise the Parking Oltrarno, sitauted just 1 km from the apartmen, [ 15 minutes on foot]. It's the cheapest, 55,00 euros p. week, 18 euros p. day, and closest parking just outiside the centre. You can enter by car only if you decide to park in one of the private parkings downtown, but be aware that they costs around 30,00 euros p. day

  The appartmanet is clean, nice as in photos and really give the sense of being lived everyday by a Florentine family. So it seams to stay at home. Well equipped, baby kit available (high chair, cot with sheets), the owner is very nice and willing to help
