Description from the manager
In the Oltrarno district, this south-bank apartment in Florence is a bridge away from the historic city center. Overlooking the river Arno, the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio, and Alle Grazie, this Florence accomodation benefits from being on the quieter, less-touristed side of the river. After a long day of exploration, you'll feel like a local, coming home to dine at one of the restaurants along your street.
This palazzo dates back to the 15th century, when the banks of the Arno River were flanked by palazzi [palaces] belonging to patrician families such as the Bardis. The edifice was modified over the centuries until the mid-19th century,...Read more

We had a great time.
Loved the view! The rooms look cramped in the pictures, but they aren't -- it felt spacious due to the high ceilings.
Great location. -

The property is very well maintained, and the management staff was extremely helpful and efficient.
The view is just fantastic. I spent countless hours just looking out the window at the Arno river, Uffizi museum, Ponte Vecchio, and the hills beyond, and watching life go by on the street below.
The unstable water pressure in the shower. The sofas seemed a bit old, and the pillows were too hard.
Everything. -

The convenient location, the easy use of the appliances, the efficiency of the air conditioning, the excellent views.
Nothing; there was nothing to dislike.
The museums, the churches, the concerts, the shopping, the mercato centrale, the restaurants, the marvelous gelaterie. -

We want you to know how much we enjoyed our month at this apartment on the Lungarno Torrigiani, in Firenze. The apartment itself is near perfect. The grand ceilings, tall windows and excellent appointments were very comfortable. The kitchen allowed us to eat well without having to go out for every meal. We have left behind a small ceramic roasting pan, a whisk and a decent wine opener that we bought - as a gift to the house. The Superintendant, Manager, Doorman, Greeter was very attentive, and gave us great advice. He's a keeper. We'll be in touch when we next need a first rate place in Italy or France.
We simply don't know how the location could be improved. Overlooking the Arno, the Uffizi, and Ponte Vecchio and Alle Grazie, it commands unsurpassed views. And it is so conveniently located to everything that we were able to walk anyplace we wanted. Being in Oltrarno, it was less dominated by tourists, but we never felt out of things.
The door latch on the washing machine needs attention. We ended up having to trip the latching mechanism with a knife blade in order to get the door open to get our wet clothes out. The dishwasher seemed hit or miss. -

I can't say enough...
Left on 06/02/2000 for a stay in May 2000
I can't say enough good things about the apartment, from the beautiful blue and white bathroom with lots of fluffy white towels to the fabulous
view day and night to the custom-designed elevator with its wood panelling
and flip down seat, it was a delight in every way. I wish I had a good photo of that bathroom though, the tile was exquisite. All in all, we felt like we were staying with a wealthy friend for two weeks and she just wasn't there. It was great and easy to arrange. Thanks, I hope to use your agency again soon!
Everything we needed was provided, including a good hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, a big drying rack (we did do wash since we were there two weeks) and some kind of bug zapping gizmo that we didn't need to use. We had arranged that my daughter would pick up the keys on Saturday
morning. Although she was prepared to pay the deposit as well, they
arranged to send a representative to us instead on Monday morning at 9 am.
He arrived promptly and we took care of all paper work as well as arranged
for him to return the Friday evening before we left since we would be
leaving too early on Saturday. Again, he was prompt, courteous and we only
owed about $50 for telephone, gas and electricity so got most of our
deposit back.
The only possible thing that could have been better was some simple, clear instruction on how to operate the washer and the dishwasher. There were official booklets for every appliance but they weren't very clear to us. No big deal though, I did not go to Italy to have the consumate washing machine experience!
It was very convenient. We particularly loved the shops and restaurants on
Via Borgo San Jacopo and we ate at 2 great places on the slightly funky
Piazza Santo Spirito. Also, we climbed up to San Miniato and the Piazzale
Michelangelo twice!
