Searching for a room with a view? Look out over the red-tiled rooftops of Florence from the balcony of our spacious and charming accommodation in Florence, just across the river Arno from the Uffizi Gallery. Walk across one of the beautiful bridges to access the historical center of Florence, or go south to explore the characteristic neighborhoods of local Florence, filled with excellent restaurants and cafes.
This palazzo dates back to the 15th century, when the banks of the Arno River were flanked by palazzi [palaces] belonging to patrician families such as the Bardis. The edifice was modified over the centuries until the mid-19th cen...Read more

We had a great time and a very enjoyable experience.
Italian style and convenience to the city. Very good local resturants.
Beautiful old Renaissance city with color, history, and ambiance. -

Very pleasurable.
The view from the bedroom and the open terrace.
Difficult stairs.
Only a block from the Ponte Vecchio on the Arno, Oltrarno side. And could avoid the crush by going east to San Niccolo. -

Nearly perfect! Great location on the River Arno overlooking the Uffizi Galleries and the Ponte Vecchio from the 360 degree view in the bedroom. Close to everything we wanted to see and all within walking distance. Perfection would have been us being able to speak Italian!
The sitting area between the living room and the deck - it was perfect for quiet, reflective breakfasts overlooking the hillside of Florence. The view from the bedroom is awesome - day or night! The apartment is perfectly located to hear all the cathedral bells ringing on Sunday morning - a cacophony of wondrous sounds!
The very steep and narrow stairway up to the bedroom. We decided to leave lights on at night to ensure we could see clearly if we needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. My partner has an artificial shoulder joint and a fall could be extremely detrimental to him.
We could walk to everything we wanted to see while in Florence. All of our morning adventures would end up at the Piazza behind the Uffizi. A myriad of outdoor cafes serving lunch and fantastic people watching. All of our afternoon adventures would end up at the Gelato stand just east of the north end of the Ponte Vecchio - really good Gelato and the baristas were great! -

We had a great time and would highly recommend it to others.
Location, the view and the terrace.
Minor irritants were the smell from the sewer vent and the sound of the building generator.
Being slightly off the beaten tourist path but still close to everything. -

The views, both from the bedroom and from the terrace, were magnificent. We loved to relax on the terrace with a glass of wine enjoying the breathtaking views.
Although the apartment is charming, it needs a bit of a re-touching, a fresh coat of paint here and there. Also, a patio umbrella would come in handy to create some shade on the terrace.
We loved the location across Arno - a bit away from the crowds and yet within a walking distance to everything. There are plenty of "must see" places there - Piazza Santo Spirito, Brancacci Chapel with its amazing frescoes, San Miniato and an unbelievable panoramic view of Florence from the church steps, to name just a fiew. -

The property was excellent. It really contributed to a fantastic trip. I would not, however, recommend it for travelers with babies or small children for the reasons mentioned below.
The location was excellent. It was very close to most everything. At the same time, as it is on the Palazzo Pitti side of the Arno, it is far enough away from the crowds so that the building and the area around it are actually quite peaceful and quiet. The views were incomparable.
We have a two year old son. After one enters, there is a steep stairway leading to the apartment itself, and then another steep one to the bed room. We found it difficult after a point bringing our son up the steps, as well as his stroller, etc. For this reason, I would not recommend the apartment for those with small children or for the elderly. -

Great place. We would stay there again.
The balcony, the view from the bedroom, the high-speed Internet connection, the washing machine. Others complained about the water pressure, but we rarely had a problem with the pressure and if we did it lasted only a few minutes.
I think you could clear out a few things in the living room and elsewhere--artificial plants--to give the place a roomier look. I ended up doing this myself and putting them in the closet and then putting them back afterwards. We only needed the air conditioning at the end, but it really didn't work that well. But basically, this is a great property.
The location is perfect--close, but away from the maddening crowds. -

We enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon stay at Palazzo Torrigiani!
We loved the view from the bedroom. We really were in the heart of Florence and the view was spectacular. From all sides of the bedroom, you can see Florence for miles. At night, it was amazing, as well.
We loved everything about the apartment, except the final bill. We did not fully understand at check in that we would be paying utilities, so we left the air conditioning on almost the entire time. In the end, we were charged over 400 Euros and, at the end of a long, and expensive honeymoon, we did not enjoy paying over 500 US Dollars because we did not turn the AC off when the left the apartment. Also, the shower pressure is not good in the morning, but if you shower later in the day, it is fine.
We enjoyed the fact that everything in Florence was in walking distance to our apartment. The Ponte Vecchio was a 2-minute walk from our place and was a wonderful central location in the city. Everything was within walking distance, including some of our favorites Santo Spirito and Piazzale Michelangelo. -

The apartment was very well-equipped, although the kitchen was very small. The only serious problem was the water pressure.
The location on the Arno, the use of the outdoor balcony, and the "tower" bedroom.
The water pressure was irregular and quite low at many times of day.
Location was terrific - easy to walk to center of the city, but no huge crowds in the immediate neighborhood. Living next to the Arno was wonderful, day and night. -

The apartment was perfect for our 4 week stay. We were very determined to have outside space so we could enjoy the spring. The deck was perfect and we used it extensively. If staying during a season where you will not be spending time outside another apartment would probably make sense. The bedroom views were unbelievable. We felt very fortunate to to stay there.
The location and setting were exactly what we were looking for.
The unpredictability of the availability of water. Sometimes the water would go off completely. Not a huge problem but an inconvenience.
Florence is wonderful and the location of the apartment gives great access to all of Florence. -

The views from the bedroom in the tower, and the terrazzino, which reassure you that, yes indeed, you are in Florence.
There is nothing I disliked about the apartment. There was sometimes a problem in the morning with water pressure ... there was none. Think of it as an opportunity to learn pazienza.
The apartment is in the Oltrarno, across the river from the busy tourist areas, but still within easy walking distance of almost everywhere. -

We will never forget our experience! It was the most wonderful few weeks of our entire marriage, I think.
The fabulous balcony with views of San Miniato and the Arno...and of course, the unforgettable 360 view of the Arno, Uffizi and all of Florence from the bedroom.
Everything was perfect, but if pressed, the shower went dead for a few minutes a few times in the morning. Italian plumbing is different than ours.
Florence--and day trips to Siena and Lucca. -

The view and location in Firenze, and the doorman!
No water pressure some mornings and if you opened certain windows there was a sewer smell from the vent stacks of the other apartments.
Being next to the river and the neighborhood feel of the Oltrarno area. Also the proximity to the Pitti Palace. We went ther 5 times. -

Everything was absolutely perfect. If I went back to Florence alone or with one other person, this would be my pick of places to stay.
Location---just a step away from everything---and the rooftop terrace. Our group rented this apartment and one other. We gathered on the terrace for drinks and sunset watching in the evening.
The streets are very noisy, BUT the windows do a very good job of shutting that noise out.
Absolutely everything. -

I would love to do it again.
I liked the location. Close to everything, including all the historical sites. Easy walking distance. The 360-degree view from the bedroom was wonderful. I could see the Arno, Uffizi, Duomo and many more. I felt safe being a single woman. The manger was helpful and the building is in a great location. I felt very comfortable.
I really can't think of anything I didn't like about the property.
Everything was near. I used the grocery stores, butcher, beauty shop, massage spa's and manicurist. I was welcomed by all. Became friends with some during my month stay. The food was great. -

Location --- VERY Quiet
Lack of adequate seating in living room; minimal kitchen; no radio or CD player. Lack of heat until November, and it was cold. Loss of water pressure several mornings between 7:00AM and 9:00AM. Be prepared to climb stairs and even be ready to climb to retrieve the elevator when others fail to close the doors after usage.
Beautiful views. Found necessities within walking distance -- all city areas were within walking distance and easy bus service to the railroad station. -

The terrace was a great place to relax. The bedroom with its panoramic view was excellent.

Being right on the edge of everything was great. Close enough to get to everything in a easy walk, but a quiet oasis when I just wanted to relax. -

The terrace in the evening was very peaceful for sipping wine. The breakfast nook was nice in the morning. The bedroom with 360 degree views was amazing. Spent lots of time gazing out on Firenze.
Wind blowing grit from the roof onto the terrace and our food a few times. The cable card was quirky at times. -

The bedroom! It was spacious with a large and comfortable bed, but it also had a beautiful ceiling and windows on all sides with spectacular views of every part of Firenze. The terrace gave us great pleasure, and everything worked! The entire month we never had any problems with anything. The place was beautifully painted and clean, and well-appointed with all the accessories we needed. The location is perfect, as we learned five years ago when we stayed in another apartment in the same building.
The low ceiling between the kitchen and the living room gave me a few nasty bumps before we learned to tape a cloth of contrasting color to it to catch my attention. It's not your fault that I'm 2 meters tall, but that was a bit of a problem. Both flights of stairs in the apartment were sometimes tricky and sometimes slippery. I found the living room confining, probably because of my size, but my wife did not.
It would be absurd to try to say what we enjoyed about Firenze in a finite amount of time. The art, the people, the atmosphere of the place, the music of the buskers and Maggio Musicale. It is a place we could love for a century without tiring of it. -

This was an excellent apartment I was heartbroken to find it was rented when I wanted to go back. The management company is exceptionally helpful and I enjoyed staying there.
The location, the patio, the view, and the bedroom!
The kitchen was very small, though well-equipped this would not be a good place to stay if you wanted to cook for yourself regularly.
The Oltrarno is lovely, and a bit removed from the tourist hotspots. -

The rental was very clean and comfortable. The washing machine worked really well. The terrace allowed our clothes to dry quickly in the southern sun. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our experience renting through Rentvillas.com was terrific. Figaro is located in a very strategic location for shopping, museums and people watching in general. We enjoyed both sunrise and sunsets through the upstairs windows. The Internet Train, two blocks down on the right, came in handy. It made each day even more enjoyable to share it with friends back home.
The building was beautiful. Although, some may frown at the winding stairs that meet you at the top of the lift, we felt a sense of arrival and an adventure ending each day we returned. The terrace was fabulous. A view unparalleled would describe the daytime view. The nightscape that included San Miniato and Santa Croce bathed in lights wasn't too bad either.
Two things we would have changed: 1. Shower door instead of a curtain 2. Something to bake or toast in. (There are toaster oven - microwaves. The upstairs gets a little noisy if you want to retire to bed early on a disco night (this is easily solved by pulling out the beds downstairs). -
Of course, the views...

Of course, the views from the apartment were incredible! I really enjoyed having the terrace as well. However, the decor (and the apartment set-up, namely the kitchen)were just mediocre in my opinion.
The view! Enjoyed wine on the terrace during the nights and sunbathed during days. It was lovely.
The kitchen; the throw rugs needed to be replaced. The decor could have been nicer.
Most sights, stores, and restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. There isn't much in the immediate areas surrounding the villa.
