Description from the manager

Overlooking the facade of San Gaetano church on the Piazza Antinori, this is one of our most elegant apartment accommodations in Florence. Enjoying a fantastically central location and helpful staff, your time in Florence will be wonderful whether you're inside your Florence holiday accommodation or out.

Throughout the centuries the palazzo was remodeled extensively, acquiring its present form in the mid-18th century. In the shops nearby one can find a baker, butcher, green grocer, coffee and pastry shops, hairdresser, dry cleaner, and a plethora of excellent restaurants.

It was better than we expected -- clean, quiet, large, well-appointed, great location.

The location, layout, and size of the apartment.

Water temperature issues in the shower and sink. The lack of a dryer.

ALL OF IT great, including the restaurants nearby.

      Location.

The water pressure in the bathrooms and the sporadic hot water.

Everything! We love the shopping and the restaurants.

Wonderfully helpful staff who work on the premises. Good availability in emergencies by phone. Excellent security.

Location was excellent for getting around on foot or by bus. The old Palazzo feel and grandness of the property was delightful. The place was neat and clean. Kitchen, though a bit small, was well appointed and adequate for our needs. Beds were comfortable. Enough room for a party.

Location in the heart of the old district was noisy. The interior bedroom was quiet, but the street-side rooms experienced an urban symphony of buses, scooters, street sweepers and cabs. You had to close all windows to drown out the street sounds. Most older places use tankless hot water systems. They take a while to get cooking, and don't expect long showers.

600 years of history, the Uffizzi Gallery, the Duomo, exquisite hill towns, the Medici Chapels, the Central Market, the Straw Market, the food, the wine..........This is Florence, Italy, what's not to like!!

      The location.

      Nothing

The scenery, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful church across the street.

We were so pleased with this apartment. I really had hoped for a view but I found that our view of the crest lit at night was just as dramatic. The high ceilings and large open windows add to the elegance of the property and the street noise that is mentioned in other reviews was just part of having an apartment in a city.

The very best surprise was that this apartment was MORE than I expected! How often does that happen? It was MORE spacious, MORE comfortable, quieter and cleaner than I expected, based on the reviews I had read. It is a beautiful apartment located on the most prestigious street in town and within walking distance of all city sights. Shhh! Don't tell too many people!

Lack of clothes dryer. I could live without washing clothes but since there is a washer there should probably be a dryer. Also, shower curtains.

We enjoyed everything the surrounding area had to offer, including historical sights, restaurants, the Arno and of course, the most spectacular shopping in the city. We loved the sounds of the horse-drawn carriages below our window and the busy feel of the street....both in the morning when people were going to work and also later in the evening.

The staff's response to issues was excellent. They are wonderful to work with and very friendly.

Loved the location as well as the apartment's ambiance as well as it's size.

The pillows were hard. We noticed a sewer gas smell in the smaller bedroom off the living room. Also, the floors needed a cleaning - probably from the car and bus exhaust when the windows are open.

      Very much. Fabulous neighborhood.

The air conditioners were not working when we arrived and it was unbearably hot.

      Location!

Once the air conditioner was fixed, it leaked water.

      The shopping and sightseeing.

This is a fabulous apartment with lovely furnishings and the best location in Florence. We travel to Florence a great deal and this was our best trip.

The spaciousness of the Crest was an added luxury and the convenience of the location made everything easy.

The kitchen is very small. Just the two of us stayed in the apartment. I imagine the kitchen would be hard for anyone that was a serious cook or for two couples. Also, it is impossible to turn off the heat. You can turn off the auxillary heat, but not the system that heats the entire building. Sometimes it would be stuffy.

All of the shops - Ferragamo, Hermes, Tods, Prada and then the little boutiques. Restaurants and cafes abound.

It was in a lovely area and extremely convenient to everything. It was large and nicely furnished.

The convenience to all the major attractions and railway and bus terminals.

The kitchen had all new appliances but was too small, and when you had the windows open, it could be very noisy.

The beautiful shops and also the shops nearbye where we could purchase all the necessities for the apartment.

This was an elegant and comfortable accomodation. It was just delightful. The local staff was very helpful. We had one minor porblem and they were very responsive.

THE LOCATION!!! The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The high ceilings and the doors that opened onto the street created an ambiance of a house not an apartment.

Not being able to stay longer.....

We were right on the Via Tornabuoni-we could and did walk everywhere! You certainly don't want to drive in Florence. The Via Tornabuoni is the finest shopping street in Florence. There is a fantastic winebar/restaurant practically next door.

We loved the apartment! We were two couples - there was plenty of privacy, a large living room for lounging, and we all appreciated the location and the way the apartment was decorated. "When can we go back?" is the real question!

Location and space. The photos looked great, but it was better in person - more luxurious!

      Nothing!

We came to sightsee and shop. We were close to the train station and all the shops!
