This apartment rental in Florence, Italy, is located in a beautiful palazzo right on the pedestrian-only square, which is lined with shops, restaurants and wine bars. You are perfectly located for visiting all that the city has to offer, as well as having a comfortable Florence holiday accommodation in which to rest and unwind – and share your stories of t...he day.

This landmark Renaissance-style apartment building has been beautifully restored yet retains its historic character. The palazzo has thirteen apartments, many with views of the Piazza Santa Croce and the interior garden. Although there is no public parking nearby, a paid parking lot is in the neighborhood, just across Piazza Santa Croce. The price varies according to car size: 20/30 euros per day.

Located in the annex adjacent to the palazzo this charming penthouse apartment is reached by nineteen steps beyond the elevator. It offers wonderful views of the Florence rooftops and landmarks. The living room and dining area is furnished with a pull-out twin sofa bed and a dining table, which seats four. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave and sink. The master bedroom view overlooks the Piazza and features a queen size bed with under-bed storage. A small second bedroom with twin size beds has an en suite bathroom with bathtub with shower, sink and WC. The washer and dryer are located in the ensuite bathroom. There is a second bathroom with shower, sink and WC. The apartment has independent heating and independent central air conditioning.

This Florence rental is located right on the Piazza Santa Croce, a large piazza with the Santa Croce church at one end with many shops, restaurants, and old palazzo on either side. All of the major sites of Renaissance Florence are within a short walk, including the Piazza Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo. The Santa Maria Novella train station is a 15-minute walk, and the closest bus stop is right at the base of the piazza.

  It was a great apartment. It was quiet and the locaton was fantastic.
  
  It was an excellent facility. The kitchen was great, the bathrooms were perfect. The location was great.
  
  The only down side of the whole apt. was the beds were so hard that you got up sore in the morning. While that is about right for us grand parents the 11 and 13 year old said it was like sleeping on the floor.
  
  There was easy access to all of the main attractions. Everything was an easy walk. All of the facilities you need were available in the immediate area.

  Location, overlooking Piazza Santa Croce. Please note that because of that we could not rate the property high in the peace and quiet category because the bedroom gets the sounds of the piazza until 2:00am. But that was fine with us; we left the window open a bit and enjoyed the white noise, it was not bothersome except for one night out of 14. The rest of the apartment is set back and is quiet, however.
  
  The kitchen was very small and thus discouraged cooking any meals of more than one or two courses. It would be nice if there were more non-perishable cooking supplies like spices.
  
  The neighborhood is a nice combination of tourist interest and local hangout. It is a short walk 6-10 minutes to the main sights like Piazza Signoria and the Duomo, but the tourists thin out in the evening, and it is only a few block walk to areas primarily of locals e.g., Mercato San Ambrogio, across the river to the Oltrarno.
