My advice: stay here! To start, the check-in and check-out process was easy. The apartment is in a good location so it is easy to walk to anywhere in the city. The stairs getting up to the apartment can be a downside, but the reward is that the apartment is on the top of the building so you get amazing views from the terrace on the roof. The terrace is not large, but big enough for a table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine while you stare at the Duomo and the rest of Florence.
The apartment itself is very large. There were only four of us staying in the apartment so we felt like we had a lot of space to ourselves. In addition to the bedrooms, kitchen and terrace, there was a separate living room with TV to relax in which I thought was a nice space to have, especially if you are staying in the apartment for an extended stay.Response from Windows on Italy - 04/24/2013

The representative form Windows on Italy was very helpful and took the time to tell us of local amenities on our arrival. The apartment was clean and the veranda was a particular attraction, looking out over the rooftops of Florence. The location was its greatest asset. A short walk and we were in the heart of the city with it's wonderful atmosphere.
Buying food at the Piazza del Mercato Centrale and taking it back to the apartment and cooking a lovely italian meal was terrific. The leather goods etc in the outdoor market at Mercato Centrale was a highlight. Lovely friendly people.
The whole holiday was a joy.
Lots of walking! so wear comfortable shoes!

Regarding the SKY TV Alessandro called the company this morning telling them about the problem. It seems that part of the dish on the roof has been broken, maybe due to the strong wind of this last weekend or even the very cold weather of late. We are not sure but in any case a technician should be calling back today to confirm when they can come and fix it. Unfortunately there is little more we can do because SKY promise to come and repair within 72 hours. At this point they most likely will come tomorrow.
Regarding the washing machine, a technician should be coming to check tomorrow morning but unfortunately I do not believe it can be repaired before you leave.
Regarding compensation for your stay we can offer you a refund of 60€ per night, so a total of 180€ which is roughly a 24% refund on the total price you paid.

The checkin experience was disappointing.Very poorly handled but things did get better once we spoke with the office and found Anna. Her responsiveness overcame the poor start. Roomy apartment on an average street but well located central to all attractions.Happy to recommend it but you need to like stairs. There are 83. Furniture is ageing but quite comfortable and adequate.

Excellent flat, spacious, beautifully presented, well-equipped and conveniently located. You must be fit to stay here - up 4 flights of stairs and then 2 more flights inside the flat. The view is the winner.

The Signorelli was a wonderful, comfortable, centrally located, and well appointed apartment. The view from the patio is breathtaking and we could not get enough of it. 360 degree view of Florence with the Duomo 4 blocks away. Beds and furniture were very nice. Bathrooms excellent. If you have good legs and lungs I would highly recomment this apartment as it is indeed on the 4th floor, 77 steps, and can be a challenge for anyone not in good shape. The experience was superb. Check in and out was very easy. Tips on restaurants from our check in person were right on target. Two thumbs way up.

The Signorelli apartment exceeded all my expectations. The manager who introduced us to the apartment was a wealth of information and turned us on to the best restaurant of our entire trip. The apartment was very spacious and easily accomodated us 5 adults. The view from the terrace was breattaking. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Signorelli. It was 77stairs to the apartment, but well worth the climb. After all the fabulous food the climb up was good for us. Our kids enjoyed the apartment and location as well!

Beautiful three bedroom three bathroom two story apartment in the center of Florence. The view from the terrace is outstanding. It was not a problem for us but be aware there are 77 steps to the apartment with no lift. I also reccomend parking outside the city and taking a cab as driving is insane .

The apartment was very nice. The pictures posted on their website, if anything, understated how roomy it was. The beds were comfortable and the linens fresh. The air conditioning worked great, and best of all, the rooftop terrace gave us a great 360 degree view of the city. The location was perfect, all the historic sights were within walking distance, as was the train station - perfect for a day outing to Pisa. The staff from Windows on Italy were very professional and helpful. I will certainly use them again.

The apartment is very comfortable but there was a decisive lack in hot water pressure. The terrace was lovely and peaceful but the walk up the stairs got tiring!!

"We had a fantastic holiday, the apartment is tasteful, luxurious and a great deal of thought has gone into decor furnishings etc. We will certainly reccommend it to our friends. Apartment is lovely but disappointing in many areas. Advertised with fireplace but no firewood on arrival and the kitchen was poorly stocked. However the view from the terrace is excellent.

I am sorry to read your comments. Firewood can be purchased for apartments with fireplaces but at Signorelli it is not a real fireplace. It is for "show" as described on the internet. The kitchen is stocked with pans, pots, plates, glasses, cutlery and a dustbin with bags. Unfortunately we do not stock any food items such as salt...sugar.

The signorelli rental is a nice property but we experienced problems with the electricity tripping frequently and the alarm went off for no reason. A coffee machine would have been nice too.

"Very good - it was nice to have common areas as well as private to spend together. The terrace is fantastic but the plants needed watering and weeding!! Also, more basic cleaning equipment would have been nice."

Stephano was a super nice guy and informative on all aspects of the property. The roof top patio was fantastic - overall property fantastic - exceeded our needs and expectations. Tip: when checking in in summer a nice cold bottle of water already in the fridge would be nice.

Our family of five stayed for a week at this flat and absolutely loved it.
If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you, but if you don't mind that there are 77 steps up to the front door of the flat, and more steps within the flat itself, and best of all, more steps up to the terrace which gives you a fantastic view of Florence, then this place is a treat. You can see the Duomo from the kitchen window and San Lorenzo from the living room window.
The flat is very quiet and within easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. We walked across historic centre, over the Arno and to the Pitti Palace in 30 minutes. There are no restaurants or shops right on the same street but there are plenty within a few blocks.
The floor plan is accurate and you can see that each of the three bedrooms has it's own en suite. Soap, shampoo and shower gel were provided. Ladies might want to bring their own hair conditioner.
The kitchen is well equipped but there are no basic supplies. If you plan to cook, you may want to bring small amounts of simple things like spices and salt, rather than buy a big package like we did.
Windows on Italy was very easy to deal with. The flat has no internet service but for a small charge we were provided with an internet key for our use during our stay.
We had a wonderful time in Florence and this lovely flat helped make our visit so enjoyable.Response from Windows on Italy - 01/29/2010

For any one of any age, who don't mind the stairs (which is great exercise even for those of us over 55), the view and sheer enjoyment of the roof-top, garden patio is worth it! Being so close to the center of Florence, and the 360 degree view makes the trip! The apartment is nicely furnished with comfortable amenities and is well maintained. Anna and Alessandro were fabulous on every little need that we had! We loved the apartment and will definitely book with Windows again! Thank you for making our trip great!
