We were recieved and directed to the apartment. The view by the windows, was absolutly incredible. All the apt was perfect, and very confortable. The amenities were very good.

The family had a great time staying. The kids were 12 & 14, we could drop them off back at the flat and continue our activities. As the apartment were in the center of the old city, we were never far from the kids. The family enjoyed all the concerts and shows right outside our window almost every night! Specially with a glass of win/beer with dinner.
We had been recommending the flat to all our friend with 2 minor points. The sofas are not made for long sitting sections and don't take a shower without another person in the flat. That's because the fuse jumps regularly (old building & modern electrical don't go well together) and you need them to go outside the flat 3 floors down to put it back on.

This is a very nice 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with full kitchen and washer/dryer in the heart of Florence. The property manager met us there and showed us how everything worked. He was very friendly and helpful. It's two flights up but there is a small elevator that can take two people or one person with a couple pieces of luggage. The view is absolutely fantastic. We really enjoyed opening the windows in the morning and evening to watch and listen to all the people passing through the Piazza Signoria. We didn't need a car or taxi during our entire stay as we could easily walk to all the sights and restaurants from our apartment. I can't imagine a better location. The apartment is perfect for a family of four. One bedroom has two twin beds. The other has a king bed. The two full bathrooms also came in handy with four of us. The only issue we had was a little trouble with the a/C in the master bedroom, although it was fine without it (even though the weather outside was hot, the room stayed fairly cool).

This apartment is in an incredible location with windows overlooking Piazza Signoria. It is a good size with a master bedroom and one smaller bedroom with two single beds. However, the furniture is incredibly uncomfortable, the chairs are rickety, the sofa is scratchy and stiff, so you end up not wanting to spend any time there other than when you are sleeping. There seems to be a wireless router in the apartment, but the rental agents didn't know the password for the network, they said you had to use an ethernet cable to connect, which didn't work for our iPhones and Blackberries. Otherwise, the agent's service was very good.

We stayed for two weeks in December 2011, with children ages 13 and 11, and were very happy with this apartment. The location could not be more perfect -- just a moment's walk to the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, the Uffizi, and of course so many wonderful shops and restaurants. The apartment itself is spacious and pretty, with two nice bathrooms and plenty of storage for all your things -- more than we needed for a two-week stay. The beds and linens were comfortable -- though the rest of the furniture was honestly not very comfortable we did not mind. The only drawback was that the kitchen is not well appointed, with only one electrical outlet and very little in the way of dishes. Also, if you want to do any cooking they supply none of the essentials -- not so much as dish soap or salt -- so you have to start from zero which we did not find practical and ended up making little more than coffee and toast. Bottom line is that it's a lovely apartment, very accommodating, and the location is absolutely the best. We would certainly recommend to others!

Thanks Muffy for your lovely review. I am afraid we do not supply all the "food" essentials that maybe people expect as we end up throwing so much away after each person leaves. There are so many well priced supermarkets in Florence that we always recommend people to go buy everything they need. We get to the apartment (elevator is nice) on third floor. We open the door and enter the apartment. It's very nice. Then we open the window and take in the view. It's breathtaking. The direct view of Piazza Signoria is just so amazing. Just standing at the window and taking in the marble statues and the piazza strollers has to be the highlight of our Italy vacation. And yet, when the window is closed, there is no noise. Very quiet in the living room. At night though, some noise from the back street in our bedrooms. All through the day, within one block of the apartment, there is everything you need. This is the best location in Florence. If you can get this, get this apartment. You won't regret it.

The location and view from the apartment were exceptional. Check in was simple and the apartment 'guide' was very helpful (although the detail on the use of the washer/dryer combination could have been a little more explicit). The ability to eat at the kitchen table and overlook the piazza was priceless!

We had a wonderful stay in Florence. I am so happy that we decided to rent an apartment instead of a hotel and Signoria Vista is really beautiful. It was a great size (larger than it seemed in the photos) and having 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us (including 2 teenage girls) was essential. Having a flat screen TV with channels that feature american shows, in English, was nice at the end of a busy day navigating through a different culture and language.
Of course the apartment has a location that couldn't be more central or more perfect for visitors. I never got tired of the view of the historic piazza beneath our window and it was especially great when we could watch the symphony and the excitement in the piazza on New Year's Eve.
The Windows on Italy experience was also excellent. The booking procedure was simple, a representative was right there at the apartment to greet us and show us around, and the office staff was extremely helpful. I wanted to do a Tuscan cooking class, while in Florence, and the staff recommended Giglio Cooking School, which was exactly what I wanted (and I highly recommend this experience). I will certainly use Windows on Italy for my next visit to Italy.
To offer a fair and complete review, I will mention a couple of minor issues that might matter to some people. There is some noise from the street behind the apartment (where the bedroom winodws are) late at night as people were headed home from neighboring bars or restaurants. Also the washer/ dryer is a single unit and is really ineffective (the washer didn't clean well and the dryer didn't dry at all), so we took our laundry to a local place. Finally, while we loved the bar/cafe right on the piazza and our cappuccino's there, the apartment could use as standard electric coffee maker (it did have a tiny stove top percolator).
Florence was our favorite part of Italy and we recommend the experience.Response from Windows on Italy - 01/10/2011

My husband and I had used Windows on Italy for a previous rental and were very pleased with their service and with that prior apartment, so we had no qualms in using them again for our last trip, in December, 2009. We chose The Signoria Vista apartment this time because of the beautiful view and we definitely were not disappointed! There can not be a better view in all of Florence - you are a witness to the history of the Piazza Signoria spread out before you in all its glory. When we could drag ourselves away from the windows, we also enjoyed the antique furnishings of the apartment, the complete kitchen, with its beautiful table and chairs, along with the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms - there wasn't anything about this apartment that could be a negative. Another big plus is the location, being within walking distance of everything in Florence. We both thank Windows on Italy for their ease of booking and their attentiveness to our every need -a special thanks to Adrian for his kindness and tolerance of our lack of Italian! We will definitely use them again on our next trip!
