Villa Afrodite D is an elegant and welcoming studio apartment. It sleeps two people. It is appoximately 55 square meters (590 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a shared garden, a reserved outdoor area, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms it is available) and winter heating.
You will be roughly 3 km (1.8 miles) from Florence , 1 km (roughly 1100 yards) from a restaurant, from the shops and the stop for the local bus.
Villa Afrodite D is located on the ground floor of the building. You will reach it from a loggia going up approximately three stairway steps.
For a succesful st...ay at Villa Afrodite D we recommend having a car. You will be able to park it on the premises.
Villa Afrodite is a pleasant and relaxing alternative to visit Florence while staying just a step outside the city itself. You can easily reach downtown and at the same time enjoy the pleasures of the countryside.
Villa Afrodite is located on the slopes of the hill of Settignano. The hill is part of a protected area dominated by olive groves, vineyards, cypresses and oak-trees.
From Villa Afrodite you will be able to quickly reach downtown Florence and everything it has to offer: history, art, fine restaurants, night clubs, elegant shops as well as theatres and cinemas. Back home, you can relax in the peace of the countryside: you can enjoy the swimming pool and its sun deck, the barbecue area or a relaxing walk.
The owner will be happy, if you ask, to cheer your stay organizing tours and wine tasting in the Chianti region, reserving museums tickets and providing a transfer service from and to the airport or the train station on demand.
Villa Afrodite is a traditional Florentine countryside home: its structure dates back to the XVI century. The restoration made in 2007 has maintained its original aspect and mixed the ancient character together with modern amenities. The charming Florentine atmosphere is revealed through the use of typical Tuscan materials as stone, terracotta tiles, wood beams and wrought iron. The interior decoration and the choice of furniture (including some antique pieces) are in harmony with the character of the region. The ancient rural spaces, such as the grindstone for olives and the wine cellar, have retained their historical charm.
The swimming pool is 7 meters (23 feet) large by 11 meters (36 feet) long, from 1.20 meter (4 feet) to 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. The swimming pool area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. The swimming pool is shared with the other guests staying at the complex. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.
The garden is partly shaded by a pergola. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a barbecue. The garden is shared with the other guests staying at the complex.
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the garden. Here you will find a washing machine at your disposal.
The living room is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams and terraccotta tiles. Here you will find a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), that can be split into twins if requested. The furnishings are warm and welcoming. They include a sofa. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, an electric oven, a small refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!). The dining table can accommodate two guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter a small patio through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
