Lovely apartment ideal for couple - or single travellers - near San Marco and San Lorenzo. Very quiet and bright. Recently restorated and tastefully decorated. It overlooks a sunny courtyard, a very relaxing place to have breakfast or tea. The flat is on the ground floor (no stairs), and consists of: living room with dining corner (table for 4 people) and comfortable sofa bed for two persons (bed: 200 cm x 80 cm), kitchen corner with fridge/freezer, gas stove with 4 burners, microwave, bedroom with double bed (150 x 200 cm), 2 wardrobes, desk and chairs, spacious bathroom with separated WC and bidet, shower in a stall.

This cozy and new apartment is located downtown Florence, in the very heart of town, 5 min away from San Lorenzo (The Medici Chapels), Piazza San Marco (Academy Gallery with the David by Michelangelo), the Duomo area, in a quiet street with garages.
In this same street, anciently called 'via Mozza', Michelangelo had its own workshop. When he died in Rome, in this studio where found the 4 Prigioni (today at the Academia), the Madonna col bambino (at the Medici Chapels), and the famous La Vittoria, today in Palazzo Vecchio (the Old Palace).
The San Lorenzo market (handcrafts, gifts) is less than 5 minute walk. Newspapers, pharmacy, banks, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, churches, and all kind of shopping facilities are all around.
The apartment is at 1 km distance from the S.Maria Novella rail and bus station, so it is very easy to make daily excursions to the main sites of Tuscany, including San Gimignano, Lucca, Siena. The flat is also 5 minutes away from the park and Congress Hall of La Fortezza, the most famous exhibitions’ centre of the city (and also excellent site for jogging!).

This really is a beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment situated in a perfect location.
Placed in the heart of Florence it is ideal for days spent exploring the many wonderful sights, and only a stones throw away from the train station (Firenze SMN) makes day excursions so easy.
Dani the owner is more than welcoming and generously offers local knowledge and tips to ensure your time in Florence is a unique experience.
The apartment itself is delightful and homely with a courtyard that seemed to trap the sun all day.
With cafes, restaurants, shops and local markets all around, this apartment really is a gem and I wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Loved visiting here. All arrangements before we arrived were handled efficiently. During our week's stay there was always someone close by to help with any queries we had. Our hosts and their household also managed to be unobtrusive. They were delightful! The sights of central Florence are within an easy short walk and yet here you are surrounded by the atmosphere of a comfortable residential area with little evidence of tourism. Within a two minute walk you will find an independent delicatessen which sells its own bread, a small local supermarket and two excellent restaurants. Nearby are all sorts of cafes, art studios and local shops in residential streets where you are not aware that a few streets away there is intense tourist activity. The accommodation held no unwelcome surprises. The location is exceptional. It is wonderful to have open air and sun in the courtyard with no connection to the street. We only heard sounds from various immediate neighbours when we were enjoying being in the courtyard soaking up the sun, it was very quiet indoors. The flat is smart and very comfortable. We had a great time here and are extremely glad we found it.

« Finding the perfect place to stay is not always easy. Having decided to immerse ourselves in all things Florentine for five winter weeks it was important to find the right place. After much searching we chose Michelangelo's Studio, we were not disappointed. Studio is perhaps not the correct description as the bedroom is separate and large with ample wardrobe space and a very comfortable double bed. A modern fitted shower room with separate toilet and a well fitted dining/lounge/ kitchen arrangement completes the accommodation. The studio is warm, clean, modern and offers even more good storage in the lounge so bags and cases can be kept well away from living areas. In the summer the courtyard offers an outside living area as well. The location is ideal, walking distance from everything you you thought you would ever want to see in Florence but at the same time offering a taste of Florentine life with local supermarket, small restaurants and excellent market on the doorstep and only ten minutes walk to the centre of town or the railway station. What bliss to not have a car for five weeks! Daniela, the owner is an passionate Florentine and her knowledge of the history of this wonderful city is riveting. Daniela speaks fluent English and her enthusiasm is infectious so just bring your walking shoes and marvel at this extraordinary monument to the Renaissance"
