If you’re looking for a place to spend a lot of time outdoors taking in the beautiful and peaceful countryside, this quaint villa in Tuscany is just for you. With multiple outdoor tables, couches, and loungers, as well as a private swimming pool, this self-catering accommodation provides enough for a quiet retreat and is still close enough for a quick visit into town or a day trip away to the beach, or the renowned carnival in Foiano della Chiana, and Chuisi. Suitable for a family, this Tuscany vacation rental offers a homey atmosphere as well as a great location from which to visit larger cities like Siena or Florence for day trips.

This independent villa is furnished with many outdoor tables, chairs, and couches offering comfortable ways to observe the extensive views of the surrounding landscape. There is a covered patio with a long table and chairs, a gazebo with a couch and chairs, a private swimming pool [5m x 10m], a Jacuzzi, loungers and umbrellas, and a stone pathway leading to a more private set of table and chairs. There is also a barbecue and bread oven available for outdoor cooking. Access to the villa is via an asphalted road and parking is available within the property grounds.

Ground floor: There is a small living room furnished with two couches, two arm chairs, satellite TV, and a fireplace. A kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a dining room with a wood rectangular table and chairs. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower and a laundry room with a washing machine, iron, and ironing board.
First floor: An open sitting area is situated on the first floor and is furnished with a sofa bed [comfortable for one] and fireplace. There are two bedrooms, each with a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub.
Mezzanine floor: Six steps higher leads to a third bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed as well as a sofa bed [comfortable for one]. A fourth bedroom has two 90 cm single beds and a fifth bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed. There are two bathrooms, each with a sink, toilet, and shower.
The villa is located three kilometers away from food, markets, and shops and ten kilometers away from the town of Foiano della Chiana. Foiano della Chiana features a golf course, restaurants, and shops, but its claim to fame is its annual carnival which first began in the year 1539 and is the oldest in Italy. The four districts of the town [Bombolo, Azzurri, Rustici, and Nottambuli] compete for the Carnival’s Cup by trying to build the most impressive and creative float. The ancient Etruscan town of Cortona is short drive away and is full of art, history, and culture. Tour frescoed churches from the 13th century; explore the original city walls, and then visit an art exhibit in the 16th century fortress. You are also sure to find restaurants featuring delicious Tuscan dishes and ancient tombs dating back to the second century BC. There are plenty of local shops selling antiques, crafts, wines, and olive oils. The beaches of Lake Trasimeno would provide for a pleasant day trip, as well. Here you can go wind surfing, rent a boat, and view the ancient architecture surrounding the waters. Siena is one of Italy's most beautiful cities and is also close enough for a day trip. It is filled with art, history, and traditions as well as gothic palaces, churches and museums. Explore it all and be sure to visit the monuments like the Museo Civico, Il Duomo, Il Battistero, and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale Etrusco - the list is endless.

Outstanding and beyond all of our expectations. Grounds were beautiful and well kept.
Outside pool and garden area, plus a great brick pizza oven in the back of the villa.
Several times we had trouble with the toilets not flushing. We also feel there should have been more than one set of entry keys as we had various members of our party coming and going at different times.
Quiet, peaceful and full of beauty. Small local communities were so wonderful to visit.
