PécsOne of our best holiday in a fabulous accommodation
Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in June 2012
We really enjoyed the holiday in this fabulous place. Everything was perfect. The house kept cool while out was more than 30 degrees. The bathroom was pretty with flowers in the window. We really enjoyed the barbecue place, where we made many pizza:) There was a big view from the terrace and it was peaceful. The family was so helpful and kind, we could learn so much about the olive trees. Thank You so much for this unforgettable week!
I would recommend to everyone! -

Torneremo presto a trovarli!

Left on 05/27/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Rasiglia, the place where we spent a very pleasant one-week holiday, is close to many interesting historical sites. The house itself is an old, solid, quiet bulding placed in a silent location. We appreciated very much the kindness and the hospitality of the owners. The flat we rent was well furnished. We recommend it to everyone who wants to have a comfortable stay.

We received an excellent welcome from Paolo who waited patiently by the roadside until we arrived. The appartment was in a beautiful stone house with wonderful views over the valley and village below. We much appreciated the welcome gifts of olive oil, eggs, wine and home-made cake!
The appartment is well equiped and organised; the recently renovated bathroom is a delight. The central heating worked well and, unlike French gites there is no question of paying an additional cost for heating and cleaning.
Paolo was a mine of information about the local area and is both thoroughly professsionaal and friendly.
We thoroughly recommend other visitors to stay here. The region is beautiful and despite the felling of remoteness one knows that if you have a question or problem it will be dealt with quickly and properly. -

Our stay in Residence Menotre in Ilaria apartment was fantastic and I would go back as soon as possible. As soon as I saw the location, apartment and beautiful area on line, I had to stay there. It was the best of our month in Italy. The food in a charming, warm and gorgeous restaurant in a nearby village was the best we have ever had. Our whole experience in this part of Umbria was magical. The host/hostesses were amazing, and helped us in a car crisis on a Saturday afternoon that saved us so much time and money. I can't imagine many owners doing what they did.

Townsville, AustraliaExcellent apartment
Left on 10/03/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This apartment is in a lovely small village with rustic stone buildings and gorgeous little water channels. The apartment is on the hill and offers beautiful expansive views. It is clean, comfortable and very well furnished. The owner, Paolo gave us a welcome basket with fresh eggs, olive oil, bottle of wine and biscuits which was a nice surprise. He was most helpful in showing us the facilities and advice as to restaurants and local trips.
There are no shops in the village so a car is required. There are lovely medieval walled villages all around the area which we greatly enjoyed exploring.
All in all, we had a fabulous week here and would heartily recommend it. -

Kiama, AustraliaItalian hospitality at its best in Umbria
Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in September 2011
From the second we meet our host by chance on the road to our apartment and he ferried to our place we knew we were in for a great stay.
Residence Menotre is a central location but far enough away to make you feel like you have it all to yourselves. Its about a half hour from Spello and assisi but extremely easy to reach.
The apartment is extremely comfortable with all you will need for a great stay. The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise (the wine and cake were delicious).
The best bit about our stay however was the wonderful extras the family arranges. The wine tasting was exceptional but far and away our favourite was learning how to loom with Corrine mother. The work that goes into this art form is phenomenal and well worth learning about. The olive oil tasting and italian hospitality of dinner was such a great way to round out the evening.
We would highly recommend this apartment for any stay in Umbria.

Residence menotre is a beautiful accomodation in a wonderful place: the green Umbria.
Menotre is very quiet place, in the evening is beautiful to eat in your own private terrace looking at the hills. But at the same time you're quite close to the wonderful Umbrian towns: Assisi, Spello, Orvieto, Soleto, Cascia, Norcia...It's all perfect! -

DesioUltimo dell'anno in Umbria
Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in December 2010

Derbyshire, EnglandBeautiful location
Left on 05/09/2011 for a stay in April 2011
When I saw the photos and description, I really wanted to go there as we love old buildings especially if they are unusual and in locations which have character. We were met by Paolo at the entrance to the village, and shown around. On the table there was a welcome gift including delicious home-made cakes and jam, wine, olive oil. Umbria is a beautiful region and guidebooks really don't give it the coverage it deserves. We visited many places, the furthest which were Gubbio, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Norcia, as well as the closer ones such as assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Bettona, Montefalco, Norcera Umbria, Norcia. A week was not really enough. Food in the region is also excellent.

MilanoVino, olio e tanta quiete!!
Left on 01/24/2011 for a stay in December 2010

Zoersel (Antwerp), BelgiumExcellent stay in quiet and friendly Umbria.
Left on 08/20/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The location of Residence Menotre in the hills around Foligno (not far from Perugia) guarantees a quiet stay and a better temperature than in the city in the valley during the summer months. All the interesting places in Umbria are well within easy reach, maximum 30 to 60 minutes away from the residence. The hosts, family Tonti, do their utmost best to inform and help their guests and to create a very friendly atmosphere. Apart from the welcome gifts to all visitors I was even surprised with cake and a bottle of spumanti wine on my birthday. The residence is very well equiped as well. The only, in my experience very minor, disadvantage is the absence of services in Rasiglia itsself. For nearly all visitors this will be of no importance because everything you might need can be found in all visited touristic places, but own transport is recomended. I enjoyed my stay in this quiet and friendly place very very much and would recommend it without hesitation.

Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in July 2010
Everything seduced us : the Micol appartment, the calm, the beautiful landscapes, the rich history of the region and the gastronomy.
The Tonti family is welcoming, kind and thoughtful. Thanks to them, we could learn a bit more about the local history and culture, as well as the traditions.
The appartment is well equiped and allows a relaxing stay.
We will definitely stay there again. -

Left on 07/11/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We love it at Menotre. It is a central location and so a good place to use as base camp to visit the towns in the region. Both times we have been welcomed warmly (even the time we got lost and had to be rescued!) The kitchen is very well fitted out and comes with a few choice kitchen supplies, We LOVED the rock! We plan to go back.

Left on 06/11/2010 for a stay in May 2010
This was a beautiful tranquil setting and the self catering accommodation was wonderful. We were greeted with a welcome pack that even included a home made cake. Unfortunately we didn't have the best of weather so spent more time in the apartment than we would have wanted but found it comfortable and warm! It was remote but exactly what we wanted, with good access to the sights we wanted to go and see. It was obvious reading the visitors book that many others had enjoyed it too. A good find! We hope to return one day.

Left on 06/03/2010 for a stay in May 2010
I spent five wonderful days at Residence Menotre. Rasiglia di Foligno is a fascinating place to stay; largely deserted, it sits peacefully at the edge of the road. Sounds of the river and the birds greeted me each morning as I sat outside, taking in the view, and drinking my coffee. Exploring the town, I discovered the ruins of old buildings and homes, each with a story to tell. Although Residence Menotre is about 30 minutes away from Foligno, the bus stop is down the road and the ride into town taught me more about the area.
Arriving that first day, I was warmly welcomed and given a basket with a home-made cake and jam plus coffee, eggs, olive oil, and wine! It was a beautiful gracious welcome and the beginning of a very memorable stay.
