This is a beautifully decorated beach cottage. The kids loved the retro toys, bunk bed and black boards. I was just surprised to find it was above a liquor store and associated loiterers. I do think the kids running on the floor boards bothered the liquor store attendant more than his customers bothered us. We did have random people walk up the back stairs and stare in the door and look inside the washer and dryer on the deck which was unnerving. The coffee machine was full of mouldy grounds and there was very little soap, (we paid $3 for a bar of soap at the local store) other than that the house was very clean. Free wifi was great. It's a great place for a group of adults with proximity to the beach and liquor store, I personally would not have stayed there with my small children if I had known it's location.

Thanks for the feedback. Julia and I are dissappointed to hear some of the details of your stay. We are also dissappointed that we weren't contacted during your stay, as we are locals, and could have handled any issues. We stay in the unit during the winter with our 2 year old and 2 month old, and in our experience, the liquor store is non-existent from the apartment. If there was a loitering issue while you were there, then this is something we will address, as they lease the space from us. From your comments, we have decided to install a lockable gate at the bottom of the staircase going up to the back deck. We will also have a meeting with our cleaning team this week regarding the coffee pot, and the small details that must be attended to during cleaning. As far as the cost of soap from our store, we have single bars starting at $1.29 and 4-pack bars starting at $1.99. Again, we are dissappointed that you weren't able to leave our space raving about it and the great time you had.

The check-in was flawless. Omar texted me with the key code for the door, which we could change to our own code. The interior was spotless with fresh clean towels and sheets. The interior pictures speak for themselves. Shabby-chic, very cool, our taste definitely.
We were close to downtown which made the area a little congested at times but it was nothing aggravating. It was nice to be close to something else to do when the kids were tired of the beach. Having Burt's so close was nice. The kids could go get ice cream or cokes at will and the included 10% discount made it a no-brainer. We'll rent here again with out a second thought. -

We just returned from a fabulous week on Folly Beach in this condo. Extremely kid friendly, It was actually cuter than it appeared in the photos with tons of character compared to most rentals. My only complaint is that we arrived on a graduation Saturday and were initially a bit put off by the tons of drunken college kids milling about. Thankfully, that crowd was gone by Sunday and the rest of our stay was great. Most days we had the beach practically to ourselves!

beautiful and comfortable. Great place to stay with small kids, (rooms came loaded with toys). The beach was only a small walk away. Very convenient off street parking too.
