The name of the propery really sums up the time we spent there. We had a wonderful time there. The location was within walking distance of pier. The bottom four rooms have two adjoining bathrooms which was a little inconvient if you are sleeping on the pull out sofa in the living area. Some of the major kitchen supplies were missing (kitchen towels and coffee maker), but we called the rental office and they brought us what we needed. We took two little kids, and the house was pretty much kid friendly (pack baby gates).

We could not have been happier with the Avocet Properties people in Folly
Beach. Very warm and friendly.
The home in general is beautiful. Horrible, Horrible problems with MOLD.
On the ceiling in the living room, and all the ceiling vents had mold around
them. We called Avocet and they did notify the owners and someone came out
and sprayed the ceiling in the living room, but no where else. The next day an
air conditioner man came out to work on the unit and he had to come back
twice.More than a few of the family members, myself included, suffered some
effects of the mold. I should have called you all sooner, to say that no one
should be allowed to stay in that home until the mold issue is taken care of.
Wonderful location. Despite the mold problem, our family had a great time
together. I would use Avocet again.

We thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of this beachfront home; from
the elevator (Yaaaaaaaaaay!) to the two living areas, spacious kitchen,
large dining room and wonderful, wonderful porches. We very much
enjoyed the layout of the sleeping areas, which allowed for a lot of
privacy with plenty of room for kids to play.
The location right on the beach allowed us to play in the sand and
water or enjoyed stunning views from either porch.
Most of the house was very workable and user-friendly, though I
would recommend bringing some kitchen utensils and special pots
and pans.
Even so, very, very enjoyable for Thanksgiving weekend. -

This was our first house rental at Folly Beach and it was an excellent choice. The only things it really lacks are a gas grill and a few more kitchen accessories. For a house of this caliber these are things that are reasonable expectations that I would like to see added. We had to buy cookie sheets and some basic kitchen accessories but otherwise everything was excellent. We had a couple of repair issues that were handled promptly so we had an excellent week there. Now if we can just get that gas grill for this year . . .

Stayed at the Hakuna Matata property for wedding in 2008. The property was absolutely gorgeous and decorated wonderfully. The house is located on the beach which added to the "Wow" of our ceremony, which took place on the beach. The reverse floor plan and double Decker porch are incredible. Can't wait to stay at property again!!!

This is a wonderful home and great location. Decks are all furnished and the views are the best. Plenty of room for our family of 10 with beds to spare.
