Our townhome is at Water's Edge, a charming development of colorful Charleston-style homes on Folly Beach. We are located in a quiet, tucked-away area on the river, but just a few short blocks to the beach and fun town of Folly. You can walk everywhere - to restaurants, shops, beach! This beautiful, clean, no-smoking villa is in one of the best locations on Folly.

Edenton, NCPerfect location to enjoy both Charleston and Folly Beach!

We had a blast! This townhouse offers the best location for enjoying both the beach and Charleston. Tucked away on a quiet street with beautiful views of the river, we loved our January get away. The three bedrooms easily accommodate a family or group of friends. The owners, who were great to work with, provide four adult bikes, a couple of children's bikes, plus beach chairs for their guests. (Few others in this complex offer these extras... a big plus for us!) The restaurants and shops are all within a short walk and the beach is only three short blocks away... Perfect location! Driving into Charleston took less than 15 minutes. We spent the day exploring Charleston and the evenings enjoying all the nightlife Folly offers... Outdoor dining, live music and great food. Eighty degree weather in mid-January... What's not to like?
We've stayed in the historic district of Charleston prior to this trip. This was by far a lot more fun to have the option of visiting Charleston or enjoying the beach and Folly night life. It's the best of both... which makes for a great vacation.

My family and I stayed at this townhome for a wedding in Charleston. We knew this would be a great place to stay but this exceeded our every expectation! The unit itself was very nicely appointed and in very good condition. Each room was nicely sized and the beds were wonderfully comfortable! We fell in love with the view and the screened-in porch when we first arrived, and we spent as much time out there as possible. We enjoyed coffee while watching the sun rise in morning, and reflected on our day with a glass of wine in the evening. It was by far our favortie part of the unit. There was also a great view off of the Water's Edge pier but we did not feel the need to go out there during our stay- the screened-in porch was all we needed!
The location of the complex was fantastic- we could walk to the many shops, restaurants, and beaches that Folly has to offer. Our favorite restaurant by far was the Lost Dog cafe, with Rita's coming in a close second. Tokyo Crepes was a great after dinner treat too! The unit had everything we needed to enjoy the island to its fullest potential- lots of toys, beach equipment, bikes, wagons, etc...we really didn't need to bring or purchase anything else. We took the owners' recommendation and booked an excursion to Morris Island. We were fascinated by the area's history as told by the Captain, and we loved seeing the many dolphins along the boat as we cruised along the Folly river. We were also close enough to Charleston to partake in everything the city had to offer.
Overall, we were thrilled with the choice we made and the owners were incredibly easy to work with. We had no issue whatsoever from initial contact, to signing the agreements, to returning home. A wonderful experience- thank you!Response from Elizabeth and Tim Spaid - 10/24/2012

Falls Church, VAPerfect home in the perfect location

We decided at short notice to stop somewhere for a few days on our way home from Florida to DC. We found this home online and, thanks to Elizabeth returning emails and answering questions quickly, booking couldn't have been easier.
When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised with the setting - Waters Edge is a lovely, secluded development but within very easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants of Folly - and of course the beach and pier.
The home is very nicely decorated, with enough character touches to really make you feel you're in a home rather than just another vacation property. All the things you might need - bikes, a BBQ and so on - are all there waiting for you.
When we returned home we realized we'd left some clothes in the drier - these were sent back to us by mail a few days later.
