Begin your day w/ espresso on the screen porch in your jammies. Enjoy the sound of the surf and the song birds as you relax on the sofa with your feet up. Landscaped with beauty and seclusion in mind. The villa is surrounded by lush foliage, flowers, magnolia trees, oak trees and water features.

An easy walk to the beach (really 160 steps) NOT the river. All the amenities are here, sand castle molds, pails/shovels, trucks, frisbee, beach umbrella, surf chairs, cooler, tea jug and cups. Everything you may need for a fabulous Folly Beach day.

This is the first floor unit of a two unit property. What that means is there are... NO stairs to lugs groceries, suitcases, beach equipment up! Inside a completely renovated beach villa awaits you. Handmade terracotta tiled floors, beadboard walls & ceilings, ceiling fans in every room and new central heat/air. All bathed in the warm hues of Tuscany.

The well appointed Kitchen includes; filtered ice/water fridge, new range/microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, blender, espresso machine, coffee maker, coffee grinder, beater, vintage ironstone dishes, pans, glassware stems to mugs, cooking spices, coffee filters, seafood pot, anything you need, I probably have it here.

The living area has a full size futon, electric fireplace, t.v. vcr/dvd player and a movie collection of more than 150 movies. Everything from Scar Face to Disney, there is something for everyone. We also offer a CD player. The large dining table is ideal for a poker game or a chinese checkers match. We also have bingo, yatzee, monopoly, cards for kids, cards & chips for poker, checkers, Chinese or American, books and a few other games.

The three bedrooms are each furnished with memory foam mattress for that perfect nights sleep, t.v./vcr, bed tables, alarm clock, vintage dressers, and carpet to keep the sand out of bed! We dress each bed in 100% cotton sheets, w/down alt. pillows and blankets. There are two queen sized bedrooms, one full size, antique bed in the middle bedroom. We also offer a full size wooden futon w/brand new 10' mattress in the living room.

The outdoor, hot/cold, shower room is lighted w/led star lights over head and surrounds you w/mirrors. You get that true island, outside naked, experience. The grilling area is just outside the kitchen. We always have an extra tank of gas so you won't run out in mid grill.

The back yard is devoted to a large game court that doubles as a mini beach in the cool months. We supply the bocce balls, the horseshoes, and the badminton set. In the tidal creek that abuts the back of the yard, you can see a wildlife show. Blue herons, snowy egrets, pelicans, seagulls, hawks, bats, just to mention a few. We have even had an otter for an afternoon on occasion. We have a waterlily, fish pond in the meditation garden. On the west side of the yard we have a faery garden, complete with waterfall, tropical ferns and lush plants.

I have designed the yard to offer an amazing view from every window and every space. Most people describe it as a tropical paradise! And I would have to agree with them.

We offer towels but NOT Beach towels or Beach blankets, we do offer surf chairs for the beach. We strive to be a low allergen property so we NEVER accept pets.Read more

Additional Location Information

Our home is on a quiet street, 2 easy blocks to dining and shopping. Folly Island has two playgrounds, one is 2 blks away, the other has tennis & basketball courts, free to use. The island also has many vendors who rent; bikes, golf carts, jet ski, scooters, and buggies. You can parasail off the boat, fish off the pier or charter a fishing trip for the day. You can walk to Morris Island Lighthouse or picnic at the river park. Historic Charleston is 20 minutes away, (too many things to list). NO CAR IS NECESSARY once your on the island. It is important that you ask how far a rental is from the beach, because we are a very tiny island and "water views" often refers to the river or tidal creeks and the truth is you might have to drive to the beach.

  I was down at Folly for a wedding and stumbled upon this gem when I was researching places to stay with some friends. We were looking for a place with beach access and had enough space for us to get ready for the wedding. When we arrived, Alexandria showed us around and you could tell right away the care she takes in the property. There was such a great vibe to the decor and layout. When we werent on the beach, we spent the majority of the time playing bocce outside on the bocce court or on the screened in porch with the sheers filtering the light. When we were hungry, we walked down the street to Folly Beach' main drag and there were plenty of great bars and restaurants all up and down the street. We had such a great experience, can't wait to come back and stay again!

  Folly's Enchanting Villa

  We've rented an "On the Beach" location before. It came with traffic, loud parties and pigeons.
  We give this villa a five star rating. The decor is artistic and cottage charming. Our hostess was gracious. Each room is white glove immaculate. Crisp linens and enough good towels says yes to me. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for a quick snack or a gourmet meal. The screened porch is a delightful spot to enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the garden. Do not miss the outside shower! The game court was my favorite place to enjoy my morning coffee watching the birds. We really didn't use the car. A two minutes walk put us at the waters edge. In 5 minutes we were down town for dinner! Enjoy a few cocktails... your vacation villa is just a short walk away! Before we left we booked our autumn get away!   Folly at its finest!

  We stayed at this oasis for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier with our choice! We've been to Folly several times, but this villa is the best by far. The unit was immaculate and had fresh Tommy Bahama linens, as well as a full kitchen which we used to make a romantic dinner one night with some fresh shrimp from Crosby's, the local seafood market. When they say it is 160 steps to the beach, they aren't kidding. We went to the beach every morning then returned home in the afternoon to relax. It's also really close to downtown, so we had a few drinks and were able to walk home!

  Beautiful property! Super close to the beach and very close to restaurants, bars, and shops. The property is immaculately clean and the grounds are beautiful (we loved the bocci court in the back yard!). The weather was gorgeous and sunny but not too too hot (perfect beach weather). We loved relaxing by the ocean, shopping and dining on Center Street, and enjoying our beautiful accommodations. Great vacation spot! We definitely recommend it for a romantic getaway, outdoor adventure, families, and of course beach lovers. We will be back soon!
