Great location! Just steps from the beach and a short walk or bike ride to shopping and restaurants at Coligny Plaza. Casual, clean, comfortable and fully equipped with all the necessities and many unexpected amenities. Thanks for a great vacation!

Really nice place. Thanks for everything. The house was an older house but has been updated so is quite comfortable and has great access to the beach. The house was very clean and had a nice pool. The only negative on the cleanliness was it was dusty in a few spots but we don't think anyone was in it the week before so it may have just been a time thing. The kitchen is tight as it is a galley kitchen.
Access to shops, restaurants and bike trails were really close. We were about 6 blocks off of Pope Road so it was quiet enough but close enough to bike in for ice cream and shopping.
This is a great house for one family or two smaller families. I wouldn't have more than 7 people.
Overall it was quite relaxing and a great spot. We would do it again -

This was our 2nd rental with Beachside Getaway and we weren't dissappointed. We loved the location from the beach, the size of the rental because we bring everyone in our family. We really loved the screened in porch and the pool. Could have stayed longer because of those 2 items. Already planning next years trip!!! And we'll be renting from Beachside Getaway once more!!!

We stayed with our adult children and their young families. We have been coming to HHI for over 30 years and have experienced many differenct types of accommodations. We loved this house in general. We especially love the short, and I mean short, walk to the beach. Because the dining area and great room are together we were all able to have a seat and watch the Olympics comfortably. A couple of comfy chairs could be added. We also enjoyed sitting on the full screened in porch off the great room. Four of the bedrooms are great. The fifth bedroom has a trundle and would really prefer two twins. The room is large enough to accommodate them and would be better for teenagers or parents to sleep more comfortably. The really great surprise was the additional TV/play room on the downstairs level. The kids got up early and stayed in that room until the rest of us were up and we hardly heard them. The house is well insulated for sound and when the kids were taking naps we could still enjoy the outside. We certainly also enjoyed the outside shower and accessibility to the bathroom off the pool. The pool was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped but if you are all staying in and a lot of you are cooking together it could be a little close. Overall we would stay again but would love to see different accommodations for the bed in the 5th bedroom. We could not have asked for a better rental company than Beachside Rentals. They were very courtesy and right on time with everything.

We had a fantastic time at 17 Heron. The weather was a bit dodgy for the week (three days of clouds and rain)- but we just used the bad weather days as an excuse for game time on the screened porch and for exploring the shopping on and off the island. 8 of us were quite comfortable in the house and we enjoyed going back and forth from the pool to the beach (71 steps away - I counted)on the nice days. When we had an issue with the air conditioner - it was fixed within a few hours. Our only complaint was they were short on forks - but that didn't stop us from eating. Management is very attentive and made our stay easy to enjoy. We love Hilton Head !

For this amount of money one shouldn't have to use kitchen ware from garage sales. The pots and pans need to be thrown out. The utensils that remain were very nice in 1970. They have done a nice job of remodeling and everything was clean. The flooring is very nice but they didn't brace the floor properly so people were awakened down stairs if any one walked upstairs. The air conditioning unit was outstanding. We have been renting condos and housed for 20 years. This would get a grade of C-.

We will certainly look into changing the pots, pans and silverware. We would have addressed this concern during your stay if we had been made aware of it prior to your departure, as we do our best to remedy any issues at the time they occur. This is the first comment we have received about the floor, but we will look into this further. We are glad to hear that the house’s air conditioning was working properly and, as it should be, the house was cleaned to your liking. We were vacationing with 2 other couples who had never been to hhi before so it was important we should them how great the island is and part of that is the accommodations and location and this house had it all and fit our budget perfectly! You can tell the house had been recently updated and the number of bedrooms was perfect and gave us many options. The house was clean and the property manager was great to work with!

Home that is across from the ocean at the corner of Heron and Dune. Home in the process of being updated - great bathroom and kitchen improvements. True beach house feel. Fantastic screen porch and nice deep pool.
