If you want a relaxing breakbwith nice walks in a beautiful location then you can't go far wrong. The cottage was homely and very well kept; our only complaint would be that the water wasn't very warm; no hot water at all in the kitchen and luke warm shower. The bedroom was also very cokd but you soon warm up in the big duvet.

Booking an check were very good, found it a little difficult to find the property in the dark, there wasn't any outside lighting to speak of. Once in side it was nice and warm and welcoming, it had nice little extras such as luxury robes, quality hair and body products and chocolate on the pillows. It appeared very clean but there was pet hairs on and under the rug and there were 4/5 bulbs out across the 3 rooms. It had everything in it you could want. I have never rented a cottage before and was very content with this one. The location was nice and peaceful and only a short distance from the village and the local pub the sun inn which did have some great food. It was accessible on foot however it was all uphill on the way back from the village. The village folk were very friendly. Close to Clitheroe which is a nice town to walk around.
It would have been great value for money had we been able to stay for a full week.

We needed a comfortable, well equipped location in Lancashire to allow us to explore ancestors' places around accrington. There is no doubt that Millers Den was great for this. The owners did send fairly comprehensive email instructions to allow us to take up residence in our unit, but unfortunately did not allow that some O/S visitors might be unfamiliar with the mysteries of English door locks. After a long day's drive, and late in the afternoon, we were unhappy that it took us 20 minutes before we were able to work out how to open the door, and that there was no one on site to assist us, and no mobile signal to allow us to ring for help. In the 5 days we stayed there, we found it strange and unsettling that no-one enquired as to how we were managing. In fact, we hardly saw anyone at all. Maybe some people want that. We didn't.
