This was our first time at the resort and would recommend it without hesitation. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and they took care of all requests quickly and efficiently. My only concern during our stay was that the Internet was very inconsistent, otherwise we had a great experience at the resort and look forward to next year.

Tauranga, New ZealandWonderful 10 days spent in Ft Lauderdale
Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My wife & I plus our 19 year old daughter have just spent 10 days staying at Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort.
I must confess I did a significant amount of research including calling the resort before confirming the reservation, given the various reviews - good and otherwise.
We had a 1 bedroom unit overlooking the intercoastal waterway. There was a kingsize bed in the bedroom + a double "murphy" bed in the lounge that we folded away each morning. The unit itself is very spacious, contained a well equipped kitchen (we cooked a turkey on Christmas Day), full size dining table with 6 chairs, good bathroom with shower/bath, toilet & handbasin off the master bedroom, plus a seperate toilet & handbasin off the entrance to the unit that was very handy.
We would highly recommend this unit on the 15th floor. The views over the intercoastal - always something to watch, particularly in the last afternoon when the sun was going down was really special. A nice spot to have a quiet drink at the end of the day. Furthermore the lights at night were amazing as opposed to the otherside of the building that faced the sea/beach & nothing to look at in the evening.
The unit was very quiet - could not hear any noise from neighbours or road, the lifts worked well & we never had to wait long, it's a very short walk - less than 5 minutes to the beach, less than 15 minutes to the Galaria Shopping Centre & good supermarket (Publix) & plenty of good restaurants within a 15 minute stroll. We didn't have a car nor did we need one. We even caught the train down to Miami one day which was interesting - we were very pleased we were staying in Ft Lauderdale as opposed to South Beach. We rented bicycles from a bike hire company across the road from the resort & whilst the bikes were old, they were adequate & very reasonably priced for the 2 days we had them. The onsite laundry was also very handy given we were staying in the USa for another 3 weeks after we left Ft Lauderdale.
The staff at Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort were pleasant to deal with. In particular a special mention must go to, Chris Finke - nothing was a problem & he even found us champagne flutes so that we could drink our bubbles on Christmas Day in style (thanks Chris) and Mike - the Tour Guide always willingly shared his knowledge.
We have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort.

We stayed whilst in Florida shopping for a week, the buidling although somewhat old and tired was clean, and very well locted for our needs.
We found the staff and team very helpful and shorted out our every problem as overseas visitors and is very much a complex we be happy to recommend people to stay. -

Tewksbury, MassThe best place I have stayed in Fort Lauderdale.
Left on 04/03/2012 for a stay in November 2011
I've been going to Ft. Lauderdale for over 30 years and have stayed in several different places. Well I found the place I will stay from now on. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort. Ten of us went down in November and not one of the guys had a complaint. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The view of the pool and ocean was incredible. The staff was readily available and accommodating. Before we even left our trip in Novemeber we were already planning next years trip. I myself am headed back down in a couple months. Bottom line highly reccommended.

After spending 7 months searching unsuccessfully for the ideal place online, we choose this resort, sight unseen. The 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath was even nicer than the photo's. Spotlessly clean with a terrific kitchen, newly furnished and all the amenities anyone could want i.e. self service laundry, free internet, heated pool, jacuzzi, free parking, 1 block from beach in a nice neighborhood, lots of tours with pickup at resort, shuttle for airport and all at a terrific price. What a find !!

Pembroke PinesGreat Place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale
Left on 12/12/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This resort is a wonderful place to stay to get away whether it is just a long weekend or a week (even two). The resort is easy to get to. Love the covered parking - kept my car clean, cool and safe. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was amazing - comfortable, clean and it had a great view of the inter coastal. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with full kitchen and living room. Which is nice when traveling with small children. We were able to put them to bed without worrying about waking them up while watching TV or sitting on the balcony. The kitchen was stocked with the proper utensils, pots, pans, etc so we could cook (if we wanted). However, we ate at the restaurant at the hotel. They had great food, reasonable prices and we did not have to leave the property. While the resort is not directly on the beach, it was very close - 1 block away. So it was easy to walk (even with all of chairs, coolers and beach toys). Definitely worth the money! I will be visiting again for another long weekend!

I stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort about a year ago while I was in town for a wedding. The resort was very nice, had a great price, and is in a great location right on the beach and shops! The rooms were very nice and clean. I had to go back to Fort Lauderdale in October/November 2011 so I booked another room. There have been a lot of updates and the place looks great, especially in the lobby and restaurant/bar attached downstairs. The staff again was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale and wants to stay on the beach.
