Great location if the beach is what you are there for. But 13 miles from all of the hustle and bustle, which was a plus for us. Our unit badly needs to be updated. The bed was only full size and not very comfortable. Bedding was old. Also, no dishwasher! Couldn't get wi fi or phone reception inside the unit.

The room had a terrible smell and was out dated. The walls we're thin we got woke up every morn to someone in the hallway talking. The last night when we were cleaning we found a huge roach in the cabinet. Differently not worth the money especially in July when it's vacation priced
If it wasn't for the view of the beach I would have looked for a

We had roaches in that room that were huge. I was told it was a king size bed in the master br. It was a queen. Very small condo. No dishwasher. No washer dryer in room. There was a coin operated washer and dryer. I have never stayed in a condo where you had to pay to wash. They should be up front about this so people can be prepared. We were told we had free wifi. We couldn't even get cell phone service unless we walked outside. It is way too expensive for a cheap roach motel. Read more
We certainly did everything within our control to remedy the stated issues. We offered to refund your money (we had nowhere to move you to) when you called after check in and explained that the unit is not unclean, rather sprayed regularly hence the few dead bugs found. We also discussed that it is normal when it's raining the way it was (non-stop for days), for bugs to come into the unit. After the discussion, we agreed to have someone spray the unit which we did. The other small issues were taken care of via a work order to maintenance.
Unit a bit dated

Description of this unit was incorrect. The unit did not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer as stated online. Bunk beds in hall were full of sand and had bugs in kitchen drawers. Lights in kitchen and hallway kept flickering, they would go off and on by themselves, most of the electrical outlets did not work. Called management to report problem and try to move to another unit, but there were no other units available. Read more

I arrived at gs Plantation with several of my friends at about midnight on a friday night. As we walked into the condo, we were greeted by a horrendous smell. It smelled like the condo had been smoked in, then closed up for a month. There were stains on the comforters, the appliances are from the 60s, and there was pubic hair in the bath tub. I called Young's Suncoast's 24 hour hotline and talked to a sweet girl named Emily. When I told her about the condo, she apologized over and over and the following Monday, my money was refunded. The condo says price lowered bc of decor, but it's not the decor that bothered us. It was a total dump. I will never stay at gs Plantation again, but I will rent from Young's again. Read more
At Young's Suncoast we attempt to make every guest feel at home. It disappoints us when we fail to do so. We apologize for the disappointing experience and are taking the necessary steps to correct the problems. We are pleased that this guest complimented our staff. While anyone can make mistakes, it says a lot when we can handle them.
We thank this guest for letting us know about the problems.

This condo is below the standards that we expect from Young's Suncoast. We did not stay here, we left the same day because of the apparrance and comfort of this condo. The bed was uncomfortablle. The kitchen was totally unacceptable. The stove is so old and there is no dishwasher or washer and dryer. All of these things are things that make it possible to have an affordable vaction. This

We wound up staying in this unit due to a mix up in our original reservation which was located on West Blvd. The unit was nice, but needed some updating (needs new matress on the bed, and new cookware in the kitchen). The view was very nice looking directly at the Gulf. The amenities were good, too. Due to time of year, we enjoyed the indoor pool most of all. The distance from the heart of Gulf Shores (13 miles one way) was less than desirable, but we made it work, since we were given a much reduced rate due to the mix up in our reservation.
Security was quite helpful, as we had to call them to the unit when a drunk man asked us if he could come in our unit one night after he wandered up to the balcony from the beach at about 11 p.m. Security was there very quickly and escorted the man away.
It was hard to sleep with all the loud teenagers roaming the halls outside our room every night, but I asked them to quiet down, and they did. (It was Spring Break).
All in all we enjoyed our stay.

My wife is from China, so it was her first visit to a waterfront facility. She was like a fish in water. Walked the beach, swam in the pool , walked the grounds. We totally enjoyed the stay and plan on returning for my birthday in October. Thank You will be in touch. Wayne & Ping Carlson

We stayed 2 doors down in 2007 and had a much better room with a TV in both the bedroom and the living room and better furniture, space, etc... Love the GS Planation overall but the room could have been better.
Would recommend the property and the rental agency to others but will tell them to ask questions about specific issues. We learned our lesson about how big differences can be even 2 doors down.
