Owensboro, KYWonderful ocean view!
Left on 03/30/2013 for a stay in October 2012
This beach house has one of the best gulf views that we have seen. Most of the time it seemed as though we had the beach to ourselves as it was not crowded with visitors near the house front. The house was comfortable and stocked with all the wares that we needed. There was some wear to the living room carpet, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom, but the overall stay was enjoyable. We made many memories during our stay and enjoyed a week full of sunrises and sunsets.

TexasThe location is it's best asset.
Left on 06/06/2012 for a stay in May 2012
First let me say that the folks at Youngs Suncoast Realty were very helpful in the rental process. No problems at all. Nice people to deal with. The cabin was very clean. The location is the best thing about it. Just a walk across the board walk puts you on the beach. We set up our EZ Up tent and chairs and left them all week. Beds were comfortable. Cabin decorations were beachy and fun. The actual cabin location is 8886 Pompano Way. Very quiet and un crowded area. You are 10 miles or so from the activities of Gulf Shores. You are very close to Pines grocery store that has lots of stuff, but at "beach prices". ($2.50 for 8 # bag of ice.) You pay for convenience.
Good selection in the kitchen for pots, pans, dishes, cutlery. Good washer and dryer.
As good as the good things are about the cabin, I doubt I would rent it again for these reasons.-The cabin is getting old and the upkeep is lacking. The exterior doors need new locks. You will lock yourself out. Keep a key with you. The locks won't stay unlocked. The master bath has no door latch to lock at all. That can get interesting with alot of people and 2 bathrooms! There are a few soft spots in the floor that need repair. The master bath faucet leaks and looks like it has for a long time. There are some stains on the carpet and tile that look like they could be removed with some elbow grease. The deck and walkway could use some more refurbishment. Lots of nails working their way out and the wood is showing it's age. One main problem we had was that the outdoor furniture on the deck is not usable. The chairs are broken and will tip over backward if you sit in them. There is a built in ice machine in the kitchen that does not work. And as another reviewer stated, the living room cools off nicely, while the master BR runs quite a bit warmer.
With a little work by the owners, this place could be awesome like I am sure it once was.
Oh, and a note- If you want fresh seafood to cook, look up aquila Seafood. Great prices by buying right from the dock. About a 25 minute drive, but Royal Red Shrimp were $5.99 a pound, compared to $17.99 pound at the local seafood seller. Worth the drive!
Anyway, we enjoyed our stay at the Cabana Beach House, but it could have been perfect with just a little care. -

PhilpotIt was a good place to stay.
Left on 04/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
My friends and I really liked the place and had a great time; however, there was just one issue. There was a hole in the wall caused by the door in the kitchen, because there wasn't proper equipment (a broken door-stop) to prevent it from hitting the wall. My friends and I were charged for the hole. So, I recommend staying here, but investigate the house for damages before you start having any fun.

Me and my husband rented this house for our beach wedding. The house was absolutely beautiful and very clean. I would definitely come back to his house. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach and did our reception under the house in the parking area. It turned out beautifully!! We were very pleased with our stay. The only negative we had was a neighbor a couple of houses down that was pretty rude to us the whole stay. After we left I realized I had left my pearl necklace so I called and Ginger helped me get it back and she was very nice! I received it a few days later. I will definitely be renting through Suncoast again. This house is great for a big family or group of friends. We had plenty of room for all of our friends and family to stay comfortably.

Left on 09/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My husband and I were both deployed to afghanistan when I booked the bright green cabana house in Fort Morgan, AL, we saw pictures on the internet that portrayed the property nicely. When we got there the back door was wide open and not locked. This property is suppose to accomadate 10 people. There were 7 individuals there in my family, the property managers"Young Suncoast Reality" only left 6 towels and 3 bathclothes. Nails were purtruding from the deck (right in the walkway) my son stepped on one going out to the beach. My husband hammered them back into the deck. We were there end of July and first of august so it was very hot, the common area (den and kitchen) were freezing but if you went in any one of the four bedrooms they were an average of 10 degrees lower, therefore we had to use the fans. The fan in the master bedroom was very loud and shaking so bad I was worried it was going to fall out of the ceiling. So I turned it off and burned up. I was told when I booked this rental no pets were allowed which I was happy due to I have allergies. The first night I was bitten 7 times by fleas while laying on the couch. I swept the floor the second night and found a pile of dog hair. So obviously someone before our arrival had a pet there. Underneth the house where you park the plumbing leaks . We were there when Tropical storm Lee came thru the carpet was soaked by all the windows and doors which started to smell the house. The ice machine was broke and made a thumping noise. They charge you a $200.00 cleaning fee but the contract says you must clean before you leave. All the sheets are too small for the beds. I called the young suncoast the second night and got a after hours service. I left my name. No one ever called me back. when i went to turn in my key I told them about all the issues and said they were unacceptable. They said it was my fault for not letting them know. I told them I called but never recieved a call back and was told they never received my call. I would definatly never return to this property or/ management company or reccomend to anyone.

The house was adorable and surprisingly spacious. We had (6) people in the house, but we all had plenty of room to all eat together, watch tv or hang out on the deck! I would recommend that the cleaning staff check the dishes that the previous renters "washed" before new poeple check in.. we found cups and plates and cookware all with food still on them. The one and only frying pan in the house still had scrambled eggs all along one side! Other than the dishes, the house was very clean and the view was great... beach was great.. We all had a wonderful time!

Little Rock, AROnly a couple of small details could be reworked.
Left on 07/31/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Every one that I dealt with from Young's Suncoast was extremely nice and courteous. The only problems that I noted were 1) we had ten guests, the house was set up for ten guests, but housekeeping only left 8 sets of towels and washcloths. 2) The front steps could really, really use more light on them...it can be difficult at night to see where the next step is, and thus dangerous for the elderly and very young. 3) None of the exterior doors easily lock. However, all of these were minor and if they were inconvienient they did not mar our vacation at all. It was a wonderful house in a wonderful location, and we would definitely stay in this house and with Young's again.

Louisville, KYGreat time at the Beach!
Left on 07/01/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Everything was great with the house - clean and tastefully decorated - the house was a joy to stay in. The location of the house was superb - right on the beach. We did have a problem initially finding the house. The directions did not give the name of the subdivision it was in (Cabana Beach Estates) just a little grid - our confusion came in because we thought that Pompano Way was right off the main road as suggested by the grid.
My other recommendation would be to place one of those plastic owls on the back deck - as we have seen on other decks. We had 2 beach rats and a black snack stay with us underneath the deck near the carports. Made for some harrowing times getting in and out of the car! -

Springfield, ILGreat experience, but where is my dvd!?!
Left on 12/09/2008 for a stay in August 2008
My family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew) stayed there in early August. We loved the location and the home itself. It was spacious enough, and I am pretty sure everything was working fine. The location was pretty much the best part of the whole place. We thought the kitchen was nice, and glad they supplied some of the dishware. We would not really recommend going in August, because the water was particularly rough and full of jellyfish. I am not sure if it's always like that during that time of the year, but I know August is the beginning of the hurricane season.
Overall, highly recommend. Great experience. I left my Star Wars dvd in the dvd player, though. I called and asked them to look for it but never received a call back. -

Chesterfield, MOPrivate Location on a Private Beach
Left on 11/06/2008 for a stay in May 2008
Property has a great location - very close to private beach and a bit away from heavy traffic. Proximity to beach is ideal for families with young ones: trips to potty, etc.
Beds for large families. We had 4 adults and 4 children comfortably. Also kitchen had very good supply of dishes/tools/etc.
Price was reasonable. My complaint is that the telephone did not work. The DSL internet they provided did not work due to the lack of telephone. I reported this to management and they told the phone company which "fixed it". When they were done it still didn't work.
If I were to agree to return, I would have to have a guarantee this property had a usable phone.

Lexington, KYWonderful Beach Home
Left on 11/05/2008 for a stay in August 2008
My sister's family and I vacationed at this cozy home at the ned of summer and we had a wonderful time. The beach was clean and becasue it was private there was not alot of traffic, which we appreciated. The layout of the hosue was good, having 2 bedrooms on each side. Big kithen and the property management was quick to repair our minor problems. Quiet area, not much traffic. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and friendly. Would suggest bringing a canopy or some umbreallas to shade yourself from the afternoon sun. It was a great get away, with shopping and dining choices within approx 15 min drive. We would have no issues with coming back to this location, or staying at another home taken care of by Young's Suncoast. Thank you for helping create wonderful vacation memories!

St. Louis, MissouriGreat vacation rental
Left on 11/01/2008 for a stay in June 2008
The festive house is wonderfully decorated for a beach vacation. Being directly on the water front was a priority for our family vacation. We were appreciative of the easy access to the laundry and outdoor shower head for cleaning off sand before entering the home. We used all the beds since our group was large. There were plenty of blankets and the ceiling fans keep rooms cool, on top of the air conditioning. We had some difficulty with the fridge cooling the food down at first. The separate ice maker was never actually fixed although a repair man did come out. In spite of those two issues, we have no reasons to not recommend the Cabana Beach House.

This was great place. We enjoyed the beach and the privacy. A condo is not far so our kids made friends with other children walking by. There was plenty of room and we loved the place.
