My sister and I enjoyed a break from the Midwest winter by flying to Fort Myers. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and decor of the Belize. Tile floors, great beds, and a great view of the Gulf from our balcony. We would highly recommend the White Cap Condos and plan to schedule a return trip.

White Cap condos is the perfect location on Fort Myers beach! These are beautiful, luxury condos for the price of a hotel room. Beautifully decorated and our modern unit included 2 bedroom, 2 bath with kitchen and living room. 3 Tv's and a large front patio to sit and look at the water!
There is a small pool and Publix is next door(they have a wonderful fresh seafood department).
Note: Not located on beach, but across the street. Traffic can be a problem at times...use caution crossing the street.
Everything was well prepared, very clean and bright appartment with seperated bed rooms for families...Great. A supermarket and a pier to start your dolphin or sundown cruises just around the corner was also very nice. The beach just on the other side of the street was very clean and tidy and a good location to relax...better than downtown...
A trip to Sanibel Island is warmly recommended...takes about 30-40 min.to drive.
All in all...we had a great time, thank you so much...

The location of this property is excellent. Grocery store very close by and the ocean right across the road. The entrance door needs a curtain or blinds for privacy. Tight fit getting parked in the garage below. The pool did not appeal to us based mostly on its location. We would stay here again based on the location.

We called management 3 days in advance of our arrival to ask if we could get our key and take our luggage to the condo when we arrived by plane at 10:45am. We were not getting a rental car & would take a taxi from the air port.
We were told they couldn't tell us until the day we arrived. We called from the air port when we arrived & they still couldnot tell us & said they'd call back. After waiting about 1/2 hour without a call back, we took a taxi to their office for $60 with tip. They sent me & my sister, both seniors, out to walk on the beach in our winter clothes until 2:30PM. Then they had us take another taxi for $8.00 to the condo which was 1 1/2 mile from their office. There were 2 employees with cars who were not busy but did not offer to drive us the 1 1/2 mile to the condo. No one had stayed in the condo the week before us. It was available but for some reason, they would not let us in.
We will never book a trip through Univeral Vacations again even though the condo was a wonderful place to stay. By the way, this is advertized as being on the beach but its across a main street from the beach. Read more
We are truly sorry for your bad experience...However I have listed resposnes to your review alongside each issue:
We called management 3 days in advance of our arrival to ask if we could get our key and take our luggage to the condo when we arrived by plane at 10:45am. They were made aware when the received the Beach Confirmation email that check- in time is 4:00 pm and departure time is 11:00 am when they booked the room. The guest was asked to contact us the morning of her arrival date to confirm the early availability of the room, regardless of the early availability of her room, she would have access to her room at the standard check-in time of 4:00 pm. The guest offered to come to the beach office and complete her guest registration and was offered a secure location to keep their luggage until the room was made ready. She did make original contact concerning this 4 days prior to her arrival. We decided not to promise an early check-in because we thought we may get a last minute booking for that room.
We were not getting a rental car & would take a taxi from the air port. That is certainly an option and at the discretion of the traveler.
We were told they couldn't tell us until the day we arrived. Correct, due to high season activity and cleaning schedules, we wanted to make sure the room would be ready by 4:00 pm check-in time.
We called from the air port when we arrived & they still could not tell us & said they'd call back. I was out checking units when she called and I needed to check it before I could tell her the status of the room. I generally check the rooms the day of or the day prior to check-in to ensure that any cleaning and maintenance issues have been addressed.
After waiting about 1/2 hour without a call back, after I didn’t call her back within a few minutes, she called the Fort Myers Office who reiterated to her that check in is at 4:00 and that we would try to get them in as early as possible.
We took a taxi to their office for $60 with tip. The price of cab fare has nothing to do with us. The mode of transportation is up to the discretion of the traveler.
They sent me & my sister, both seniors, out to walk on the beach in our winter clothes until 2:30PM. They arrived at the office by taxi to complete their guest registration and we told at that time the room was not ready for an early check-in. We had them bring their luggage into the office and asked them if they would like a bottle of water while they waited. They said they came from where was cold and came to see the beach. They changed into sandals and short sleeves. They were thanking us the whole time for letting them complete their guest registration, providing a place to store their luggage, and helping them with directions to a restaurant both by street and by the beach. They both agreed to walk to the closest restaurant by way of the beach. We walked them out to the beach and gave them directions.
Then they had us take another taxi for $8.00 to the condo which was 1 1/2 mile from their office. See 2nd paragraph. Also, she had previously planned on taking a taxi from here to the condo.
There were 2 employees with cars who were not busy but did not offer to drive us the 1 1/2 mile to the condo. It is not standard practice to drive guests to their vacation rental. They asked us to make arrangements for a taxi to pick them up. If they had requested us to drive them there, we would have made every effort to accommodate them.
No one had stayed in the condo the week before us. It was available but for some reason, they would not let us in. The condo was vacant prior to their arrival. The condo had not been inspected to verify that it was ready for guest check-in. In the event of a last minute booking we felt it was prudent to not make a promise we may not be able to keep.
We will never book a trip through Universal Vacations again even though the condo was a wonderful place to stay. We delivered the room ahead of schedule at 2:30 pm check-in, and with friendly service. They thanked us again for our hospitality.
Perfect location, unexpected amenities

This condo rental was a beautiful place to stay for our visit to Fort Myers Beach. Part condo, part hotel with thoughtfully provided items like paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap and -- best of all! -- really lovely personal care soaps and shampoos, etc. in both bathrooms. The condo also came with beach towels and beach chairs! We felt very pampered!
We stayed at The Belize 03/03/12 - 03/10/12, perfect weather, perfect location, lovely condo. The Belize had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
The Bay Bistro behind Publix was a favorite, food and service were outstanding.
Be very careful crossing the street, drivers don't observe speed limits!

Condo was upscale with all the amenities. Very nicely decorated and very, very clean. Did not like that condo did not have a table to dine on; there is a galley kitchen with bar stools and a counter top. Parking in the parking garage was not possible for our SUV Suburban when other vehicles were in the parking garage. There wasn't sufficient room to make turns. Condo was across the street from the beach and did not have beach views from the condo. You could view the beach if you stood on the balcony in front of the adjacent condo, The Publix store right next to the condo was very convenient; very nice deli and bakery. Good restaurants within a few miles of the condo.
