This two bedroom/two bathroom home is beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico located in a grouping of five vacation homes with shared, condo style heated swimming pool. It has a very well equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, dishes/glasses/pots/pans/etc. Other amenities include cable TV with DVD, telephone in living area and Master Bedroom, charcoal BBQ, Lounge Chairs and outdoor Dining on deck overlooking the Gulf, outside shower. The location and view were great and as advertised. Nice deck and ameneties. However a couple of nites into our stay we heard something running around in the attic which turned out to be rats. To there credit Sun Palace sent out an exterminator right away. In talking with him, he informed us that this was not his first trip to the property regarding this problem. He set traps in the attic and that evening we were blessed with the sound of the trap going off (very loud) and a rat squealing for its life. Not what I paid for!!! Did put a damper on what was a nice vacation. Renters beware!!!

We enjoyed the stay here and the house was perfect. The stairs were a problem since one of my visiting guests was in a wheelchair. We also were interrupted mid stay by the owner checking on us in person. The locatin was nice and the beach perfect.

Perfect retreat for family of 5. Loved having dinner on the deck and walking right on to the beach! Nice not having to track down a rental service to get a key...right in the secure box by the door. Being mid-way on the island made it easy to go either way to Sanibel or to Lovers Key, Bonita Bay. Publix nearly across the street for emergency supplies. We would rent this cottage again in a minute. New queen mattress would be a nice upgrade.

Great location. Wonderful beach. Clean and comfortable. House needs paint and pool is small, dirty and crowded but if the beach is enough it's fine. Air conditing in living room POOR! VERY hard to find a decent restaurant closer then Sanibel Island. Rental agent a Jewel.

Thank-you for your kind words about our rental agents, we try very hard to be helpful. When you return, we will give you a discount coupon to one of the island’s many fine restaurants, so there will be no need to pay the $6.00 toll to go to Sanibel.
The living room gets sun for the entire day and heats up if the blinds are left open to enjoy the spectacular view. The pool is shared by the 5 units in The Compound: 4 times 4 bedrooms and one 2 bedroom so yes, it can get crowded. It is serviced twice a week but if people don’t shower before entering, it is hard for the pump & filter to keep up. Thanks again for your comments.

The Love Shack was a great place to get away and relax. The view is wonderful and the sunset is even better. This proved to be a great vacation!

We vacationed with another couple. We were so pleasantly surprised with the house - the location was great, literally on the beach. The house had everything- dishes, towels, appliances, etc. and was very clean. More than enough space for the 4 of us. I would highly recommend renting this house and would consider returning for another stay.
