Combined it makes a comfortable beachfront 5/5 duplex on the Gulf of Mexico with a private swimming pool. It has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, dishes/glasses/pots/pans/etc. per side. Other amenities include cable TV, DSL internet, telephone in living area and master bdrm, iPod compatible stereo, charcoal BBQ, patio furniture on deck, deck, outside shower. The master bedrooms on each side have king beds and ensuite bathrooms. The other bedrooms are furnished with a king bed, a queen and twin and 2 twin beds. Great location, well equipped and clean. We are a large group and really enjoy the fact that all couples have their own bedroom and bathroom. We love the ocean , but like the option of the pool when the beach gets too warm.

Our family had no idea of what to expect when we rented this duplex over spring break. Ended up being the best family vacation ever. Kids can't wait to go back. The management company is easy to work with. I don't want to brag too much, then everyone will rent it away from me. Great place, great company equals great time. Money well spent.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Crane duplex(rented both sides) The personell were very friendly, informative and helpful from the beginning to the end.The location was close to things we needed but far enuf away too! The home was not the taj mahal which is not "us" but instead a friendly, comfortable, efficient place for all to enjoy, (including my favorite 4 legged kids)! The Pool and the beach out the back door, the Nature, and the magnificient sunrise, sunsets awating everyday! Outstanding! it was a long awaited family togetherness! I have no complaints, but I could of stayed longer!

We rented the Crane Duplex with another family and couldn't have had a better vacation. The private beach is just steps for the unit and visible from the large row of windows at the back of the unit. We loved that the pool was located on the beach side of the unit. That way, it was easier to keep track of the kids. The pool was not huge, but big enough to satisfy the nine kids on our trip. The unit is older, but well kept and very spacious. It is located just a short walk from the Fort Meyers Beach Holiday Inn where we were able to sign up for water sports and visit the Sand Castle Contest. The owners were very attentive and checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was going well. We had a fabulous time!!!

Our family of 14 has stayed in Sun Palace Vacation rentals for a week each of the last 5 years. It is always a great experience--lovely beach and Ron always quickly responds if we have an issue. I would strongly recommend Fort Myers Beach and especially Sun Palace Vacation Rentals for a great vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this year. Everything went very well. We will be coming back next year. I believe this is the 5th or 6th time we have stayed there. I, myself, especially enjoy the wheelchair accessible feature of this condo.

We were 2 families on vacation together, with five kids between 6 and 10. They were free to come and go to the beach since we could watch them all the way. The pool was great to bring the kids back. The houses are very comfortable and very well equipped. And we even walked 3 blocks to the movies on a rainy day.
The beach was very nice too. The low tide every afternoon brought all kinds of animals. We swam with the sting rays (small, but lots of them), dolphins swam only yards away from us, full of shells and conchs, and we even got a tiny octopus. It was great. The beach was all ours at all times.
We also brought our Labrador. She had a great time, run on the beach and had fun. It is a great place for everyone.

We did not receive any services while we were there.
The home served our needs. However, we all thought it could use a little TLC.
Blinds were askew in main dining area. Common areas needed fresh paint or
stain in many places.
I thought for the price it was not a good value. I was not happy that we were
expected to strip beds, start laundry and dishes, put out garbage before
leaving. I expected housekeeping to be able to take care of that after we left.
The location was the best part, but I do not think we would rent this property

Dear Jean, Thank you for your review. We ask that our guests try and wash up the towels in the morning as they prepare to depart. The wash and dry process for towels is much longer than bed linens. (We supply the laundry soap). Turning the dishwasher on (we supply the soap), before you leave takes only a few minutes. The cycle takes over and hour and is a great help to the cleaning staff. Most weeks we are turning multiple properties over in 6 hours and ask guests for some easy assistance. I am sorry that you were inconvenienced.
All of the Duplexes on Gulf Road will be receiving a decor facelift this fall. -

We have been staying on the beach for 10 years and Crane South was by far the best we had ever had. We stayed for two weeks. It was comfortable and had all the amenities of home. It's on the wide portion of the beach (great sun and moon sets) but set far enough back from the sea to give us our own private piece of sand. It's also close to shopping, restaurants, bars and entertainment (The Out Rigger and Holiday Inn Tiki Bars are an easy stroll on the beach to get to and the Publix Super Market is less than 1/2 a mile away). We loved it. We enjoyed our selves so much so this year we purcased our own house (Lazy Days)near by this spring and contracted Sun Palace to manage it for us. Ron and Judith and their staff were great host and made sure we were comfortable.

Location was wonderful. The beach, pool and accommadations were great. The location was close to many restaurants and shopping. The five bedrooms, five baths was perfect for the Grandmas, children and grand children. The service and the people that provided it were pleasant and easy to work with.
The only negative for the week was upon arrival, the floors were filthy. The babies had been held or in seats for ten hours, so upon arrival, we immediately put them on the floor to play.Within five minutes, their hands, knees and feet were black. I sent everyone out to the pool, and I mopped and scrubbed all the floors on both sides. After that, our vacation was wonderful. -

My husband and I have been vacationing in Fort Myers Beach for 12 years now. We haven't been able to take a vacation this year for two (2) reasons: 1) the economy; and (2) I'm in nursing school and can't take any time off. My brother lives in Fort Myers Beach and claims he is never coming back to Philadelphia. My husband and I hope to live there some day if and when we can retire! The house on the beach was like being in paradise. We always rent one of the beach homes on Gulf Drive. They are fully equipped like your own home and we always have nice neighbors who are also on vacation. I just wish I could go back there more frequently!

I had to find a place with five bedrooms and five baths that would house five couples. It had to be on or near the beach as well as close to the Red Sox ballpark in Fort Myers. Had to admit, some couples were hesitant about renting a duplex. However, from the moment we pulled into the driveway, viewed the scene from the two decks, and took a tour of the facilities, we were hooked. We could not have asked for anything more. Being on the ocean with also the luxury of a pool was just the best. Friends of ours who live in Naples for the winter were amazed at how great this place was. Having both sides of the duplex also gave us two of everything, particularly two refrig's. That was a real bonus. Don't bring too many clothes, there is a washer and dryer in each unit.
The rental agent was terrific. Responded to any and all requests.
You are in walking distance to restaurants, convenient stores, and hotels (happy hours). Yet, this location is on a private dead end road right off the main drag. One drawback, the traffic on the main road. There is one way in and out of Ft. Meyers beach heading north, that's over the bridge. The traffic during the day and early evening is horrendous. We ended up heading south most of the time and backtracking.
Bottom line, if ever back in the area, would look no further than this location. It has it all.
