Welcome to 244 Flamingo Street, a unique and beautiful pool and spa home located on a canal, mid island, in a quiet residential area. Seven miles of sugar sand beach is just a few minutes walk straight down the street. This lovely home boasts 4 elegantly decorated bedrooms, with 10 foot ceilings, and 3 full bathrooms. It can accommodate 10 guests.

A new heated pool and overflow spa compliment this house. The pool is situated in a large screened-in lanai for a bug free environment. Cool off in the gorgeous new pool or warm up in the overflow hot tub. Lounge on the shallow deck or swim in the deep end. Play basketball in the pool, take a... nap on the outdoor couch, or catch some sun on a lounge chair. There is even a Ping-Pong table for you to enjoy. There is plenty of space for entertaining in this huge lanai. Outside the lanai, there is also a propane gas grill and patio area to lounge near the canal. Dolphins and manatees have been spotted in the Flamingo Street canal. Blue Heron, ospreys and red-tailed hawks also populate this area.

The foyer leads to a lovely tiled open concept living, dining and kitchen area. Cuddle up on the sectional sofa to watch your favorite show, play X-Box, or watch Netflix or HuluPlus on your flat screen TV. The home is equipped with wireless internet capable of supporting these fully included amenities. A cozy dining area awaits a home cooked meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has an eat-in bar and an additional table near the bay window where you can connect to the lanai and enjoy the sites. The first floor has a full bath with separate shower and tub as well as double sinks. All bathrooms are equipped with a blow dryer. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience. When you reach the second floor, you will have a hard time deciding which of the beautiful bedrooms to call your own. You can keep an eye on the happenings below as there is a wraparound balcony that looks down into the living area. The master bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom. Watch TV in your room or better yet, step through the sliders onto the long screened-in balcony where you can take in the bay breeze while scoping out canal activity. A second full bathroom can be shared by others staying on this level. Enter "The Fishbowl" through simulated stained glass French doors, with a queen bed. Enjoy your in-room TV, or join others on that long balcony overlooking the canal. The third bedroom has two full sized beds and a TV. A king bed and TV makes the fourth bedroom another choice. The fifth sleeping area is in the sun-filled loft area. Flop on the day bed that has a trundle. Day dream as you look out of the large porthole window. Enjoy the sights and sounds from the porch right off the loft.

Just when you think there are enough places to relax, notice the white metal stairway that leads to the third level deck, "The Birds Nest." You could have a party with your family and friends on this large rooftop area that looks out to Estero Bay. In the morning, sit with your coffee, watch the beautiful sunrise and wait for your ship to come in. Later, it would be a perfect spot to sunbathe in privacy. At night, it’s a great place to view the stars. The owners have spared no expense in making this home a spectacular retreat.

Additional Location Information

This great home is located a short 500 yard walk to the Gulf of Mexico and miles of powder sugar beach. This wide beach area hosts several sand sculpting competitions throughout the year. The house is located on a canal, just 3 houses from the back bay. Great for fishing and watching the local wildlife.

Walking distance to 2 beach bar/restaurants and numerous other popular eateries. The Beach Theatre, where you can dine while watching a movie, is walking distance at less than ½ mile south. Walk just a little further, and you’ll find Santini Mall, which is full of unique shops and restaurants. The house is about 1.5 miles south of the Publix grocery store. Lovers Key State Park is a few miles south and FMB Time Square is a few miles north. Trolleys run all day for fifty cents per person.

  I just stayed at this property for a week with my family, attending my brother's wedding. Everything was clean, neat and well organized. The home was convenient to the center of Ft. Myers beach, only a few miles away from restaraunts, shopping, etc...We had 10 poeple stay at the house and there was so much living space you never felt like you were cramped or in anyone's way. The pool and hot tub were amazing, well maintained and overlooked the canal. Cool view with boats going by and the Pelicans, which my niece really loved. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

  Loved everything about our stay. House was fantastic! Really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, ping pong table and the table for 8 on the Lanai. Cooked a lot at the house and there was room for all of us to eat together inside or out. We really wanted family time and the size of the rental allowed bedrooms for everyone yet we could play board games and hang out together. Restaurants close by and the beach was at the end of the block. Rental agency and owners were great to work with and would definetly rent from them again.

  We had a week at this very nice, clean and well-equipped home in March. The backyard pool and ping pong table provided endless entertainment and the bedrooms slept very comfortably. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of bike rentals, restaurants, trolley stops and the beach. Our family definitely would stay here again!

  Perfect for family reunion!

  We spent the holiday with my wife, kids, mother, and my brother's family. All in all, we had a party of ten. This house is more than enough to accomodate our group.
  
  The beach is very close, and is where we took walks every morning and watched the sunset each evening. There are also a few great restaurants within walking distance, and even a dine-in movie theater (we saw Parental Guidance w/pizza and beer). Really fun!
  
  When we were taking a break, we hung out by the pool. There's a large glass sliding door that opens up to make the pool/lanai area feel like an outdoor room to the house. One day while swimming, we even saw a dolphin swim up the channel on the backside of the house. It was an unexpected suprise that the kids got a huge kick out of.

  The perfect getaway with all the amenities of home and more

  Gorgeous home with more than enough room for everyone in our party, from sleeping arrangements to lounging areas. The pool is breathtakingly gorgeous that is surrounded by a "recreation" area for everyone...I love playing ping pong !!!
  Logistically, we were within walking distance of everything, beaches, great beachfront bars/restaurants and shopping. If you want to have an outing further north, there is a trolley pick-up, right at the end of the street (you can even make a trolley stop at the grocery store, to stock up)...we didn't need a car.
  I've already booked my next trip to 244 in October 2012, you'll want to keep coming back

  We had two families for a week and had tons of room and yet adult privacy. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, Xbox and especially star gazing and sunbathing on the third deck. We got seafood at a local place, and grilled out--the pool deck, outdoor dining and grill were perfect. The walk to the beach is so easy, quick and safe, and the sand is sugar. Grocery, restaurant and movie theatre all within walking distance. All the furnishings, linens and decor are brand-new, modern and tasteful. We look forward to returning!
