This was our second year at this specific house and our third year in Danforth Lakes. We like to stay in this area because it's very close to the Interstate and therefore easy to get around. Danforth Lakes is a very nice neighborhood...quiet and clean and safe. Nice quite roads if you want to go for an evening walk. House is nice now that they replaced the old stained carpet. My big complaint is that the beds in this house are old and broken and impossible to sleep on. They were terrible last year, and when we came back this year, I expected that there would be new mattresses...nope. Same old mattresses. I'm a small person and can sleep comfortably just about anywhere, but these beds are just too much. You wouldn't expect a bed like this in the cheapest of hotels. Both the king and queen are like this...twin mattresses are fine. Otherwise house is great...but consider your nights of uncomfortable sleep before you stay here. Read more
Thank you for your review and the feedback, feedback on our properties is always a good thing as we can rectify any issues, the bed issue is something we apologize for and we will take action to remedy the problem. This is direct from the owners of the property:
The owners appreciated the comments submitted and have taken immediate action to replace the originals with new, high quality, mattresses and bases for the King and Queen size beds. This, in addition, to many improvements over the past year - new laminate flooring throughout the lounge areas, flat screen TVs in the lounge and two bedrooms, complete re-painting of the exterior and pool deck and additional landscaping - now make this rental property one that is difficult to surpass.
I am glad you enjoyed the stay and the surrounding area and we look forward to seeing you again hopefully next year

We enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable, well appointed house, which is centrally located in Fort Myers. Very convenient to church, shopping, pharmacy, supermarket and interstate. We paid for pool heat but the heater did not work well and the water stayed cold.

The house is beautiful, inside and out, well equipped and extremely clean and well decorated. The pool was an added bonus for us.

This is our second year in this house. There are new upgrades (flat screen Tv's and entertainment center). We love the pool and the location of this house.

We've stayed in Danforth Lakes before. The location is great...close to interstate, groceries, etc. People in the neighborhood are friendly. The house was nice, plenty of space and the pool area got a ton of sunshine.
The only complaint about the house is the beds...the king and queen mattresses were terrible. Our king bed was so worn out and broken that it was very uncomfortable to sleep on...and I'm a small person. It would be nice if the owners of the house would invest in some new mattresses...Carpet was also very stained.
Otherwise good stay...Universal was easy to work with.

Universal very accommodating & a pleasure to deal with. However the housekeeping was poor. Vent over microwave filthy with grease. Towels were left in the dryer and dried up towels were still in the washing machine. All windows and sills very covered in thick layer of dust. The carpets very badly stained throughout the house..gross. Pots & pans were leaching the teflon non-stick coating into food. The location of the subdivision was close to everything and a beautiful neighbourhood with very friendly neighbours. However the home (and especially the master suite) backs onto an access road and starting at 6:15am to 9am non stop noisy school buses roll in & out. A bit disturbing in the morning. The pool faces south and was the gem of the house.
Very nice house in the sun in wintertime.

Beautiful house with heated (by sun on roof-panels) pool. Big rooms with TV set working! Nice bathrooms. Good kitchen with all you need inside.
The tv set in livingroom appeared to be disconnected from provider (missing com-cast card). The arrival was very late in the evening (our plane arrived in Miami at 1800hrs only). In the dark the box with our papers and door-code was not easy to find, but we managed at last (at 22.00 hrs)
We had a wonderful time.

Wir waren vom 27.06.-03.07.2011 in Fort Myers in einem sehr schönen Haus. Der Pool war super. Die Einrichtung war komplett und voll zu unserer Zufriedenheit.

We had no problem collecting the keys from the drop box and the instructions got us staright to the house. The house is situated in a pleasant quiet residential area. The house was light and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. The pool was lovely and clean - the children spent ages in there!!
The Fort myers area is great with plenty to do and access to fantastic beaches. It was a slight drive to downtown Fort Myers and the coast, however as we also wanted to visit other places in the wider area whilst we staying there, the location wasn't a problem.
