Angel's Rest Cottage is adjacent to The Little River Canyon National Preserve, one of the newest National Preserves in the nation. The area abounds with beautiful waterfalls and amazing vistas. We are located about 15 miles south of DeSoto State Park and 20 miles south of the quaint village of Mentone. Visit the Alabama fan club and museum in Fort Payne, and check out the area's largest flea and farmers market on Saturday morning in nearby Collinsville. If you enjoy fishing, Weiss Lake, the 'Crappie Capitol of the World' is within 10 miles. True Adventure Sports offers many exciting guided adventures such as rock climbing, rappelling, cave exploration and kayaking. Orbix Glass, about 10 minutes away features a world-renowned glass blower and the shop has some truly unique and interesting pieces. Chattanooga is within an hour's drive. See Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium. The Incline Railway, Point Park, and Chickamauga Battlegrounds are also worth a visit.

I love this Cottage! The name "Angels Rest" truly stands on its own.
I have made angels Rest Cottage my home away from home.
I travel to North East alabama a few times a year.
And have had to rearrange my road trips because
they were booked.
For me, there has been no other place that provides the comfort
and Personal Spa Services like the angels Rest Cottage.
The angels Rest has provided a place for me to enjoy the
sunrise and sunset of each day, by accommodating an immaculately
clean, extremely comfortable, safe and private vacation.

Mississippia relaxing place to de-stress

We wanted a quiet, relaxing getaway and angel's Rest fit the bill. It's located in the mountains of northeast alabama. After our drive up the mountain, we were greeted warmly by Larry and soothing music in the cabin. The kitchen is stocked with the needed cookware; you will want to make a grocery run before you go up to the cabin. There is also a gas grill, which we used twice. Larry and Lynda have a book of menus from area restaurants (We loved the Wildflower Cafe!) to help you in your eating out choices. They also have a number of brochures from nearby attractions: nearby waterfalls and nature trails, a glass blower, a potter, and shopping. We did some of these activities, but we mostly wanted to de-stress, which we did. If you like, massages and "dinner-in" baskets are also available. I loved how the sunroom seems to bring the outside in, and we enjoyed sitting on a rock ledge and listening to the sounds of the stream below. I can only imagine how this property looks in the fall!
