This was our second time at the Waterscape and we loved this property as much as we did the first visit. It's perfect for families with small children, we have a 7 month old and it was her first vacation. The splash area for babies/toddler was perfect for her and the heated pool too. Just wish there was another heated pool, this one was closed a few times while we were there and the water in all other pools was too cold. (we were there in mid May and water was still pretty chilly) The condo was clean and provided all necessities needed for our stay. My suggestions would be that they replace the beds/mattresses in the bedrooms, both very noisy and squeaky. We had our baby in a pack in play in our room and woke her several times trying to get into bed. The carpets and furniture were pretty stained and needed to be cleaned. It would be better if the floors were ceramic or something other than carpet. We will definitely be back to Waterscape again next year just might look at a different condo. We think a 1st or 2nd floor room might be more convenient with a small child.

Lexington, KYGreat stay!

We loved condo 503 a at waterscape! It had wonderful views, comfortable furniture, and was incredibly clean. The location was convenient to both pool and beach access. The only suggestions would be to upgrade the patio furniture (which was falling apart) and replace some holes in the screen door. Overall, I would definitely recommend this unit and Waterscape!

Gulfport,MSMost expensive 24 hours ever
Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Our trip begins with us being directed to a lock box that was supposed to contain bracelets for access to the pool; upon arriving the bracelets were not available. Only after several phone calls and 2 trips between the management office and the property were we told the bracelets would be delivered.
Less than 18 hours later, the property is bracing for what we were told is a voluntary evacuation because of Hurricane Isaac. We received a phone call to put all furniture inside the unit and asked if we were going to "ride it out"? All outdoor, pool furniture including chairs, grills, trashcans, etc etc were removed so we were not able to enjoy our $1,200 night.. since we apparently do not qualify for a refund under our travel insurance nor does it matter enough to receive a call from property management to offer us any kind of reimbursement. We stayed less than 24 hours and were not refunded a dime.
Pool water was very cold
Limited/non existent amenities
Security watched you like hawks
Very disappointed.Response from Southern Vacation Rentals - 09/15/2012
Manager
Southern Vacation Rentals appreciates you taking the time to submit your review. We have addressed the miscommunication regarding the bracelets so this will not occur again. Security was notified immediately to allow your family to swim without wristbands until delivery was made. Living in Gulf Port, MS you know that the voluntary evacuation put in place is for the safety of all. It is routine to secure all items that can cause damage to humans as well as property if a strong wind or storm surge develops. The storm actually missed our area entirely and we had beautiful weather during the storm scare. Refunds are only given by the travel insurance if there is a mandatory evacuation which did not occur during your stay. Again, thank you and we hope we see you again next year. Guest Services Team

In a word...amazing! Great location. Condo was close to the water and we could fall asleep listening to the waves. Condo is new and extremely clean. Dishes out of the cabinet were even clean (not always the case in rentals). Quiet. Property is pristine.

Had a great time! Nice condo, love the amenities. Plus the convenience of the washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. So appreciative of the soap, laundry detergent, etc.

The service & cleanliness was "so-so". BUT, our stay & condo itself was wonderful. The location & amenities @ Waterscape could not have been better! We thourghly enjoyed our stay. The furniture had an "odd" smell to it, but I think it's b/c of the dampness due to the being right on the beach. Deff would stay again @ Waterscape, just would choose a different room#.
