We stay at the Islander or Pelican Isle every year and have been for several years now. We love Ft. Walton/Destin and can't wait for our next trip.
Just a thought, a special offer such as stay 3 nights and get the 4th night free would be great.....especially for us "regulars"!

Nice condo in an excellent location. The pool and beach were nice. Our room (5005) had an excellent view, with a large balcony. The room was relatively clean, but the bed mattresses were old and soft, needing replacement. The furnishings are older and worn, but the kitchen appliances are relatively new. The fold out couch was just OK.

We loved the layout of the condo; large hallway, bathrooms and living/dining room. Easy access to elevators which lead directly to pool area and then to beach. Weather and water temperature couldn't have been better. However, the movie rental situation leaves a lot to be desired! The rental kiosk must have been the very first one ever made. Reminiscent of an old Atari video game. The rental process was certainly not worth saving a dollar; would've much rather paid the $1 to Redbox. I would stay at the Islander Beach Resort and Condos again but not use the "free" movie rental service.

We stay in several different vacation rentals during the year. I tend to use the kitchen and appreciate there being dish soap (i just need 3-4 squirts), a roll of paper towels, and an oven mitt. This particular unit didn't have any of those items when we arrived. I realize for most people-probably not a big deal.

We really enjoyed staying at the Islander. Everything there was really nice, and we LOVE looking out our balcony at the beach and ocean. Even though we were there during Hurrican Alex, the view was spectacular. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was in a very family oriented area and we felt very safe. The ocean was extraordinary and the beach is clean and well managed. I have traveled extensively and the emerald water and white sand was such a treat. The water seemed to change with every glance. Although the area is quiet there is still a lot to do only a few miles away from the condo. We were very pleased with the quality of the accomodations. Everything that you could possibly need was available. We had all of the amenities of being at home with all of the benefits of being at the beach. I would recommend this property to anyone.

it was a little unusual not to check in and out at the condo that was a little inconvenient. otherwise, the condo was great!

We take our youngest grandson to the Ft. Walton/Destine area for a week each year. Our 2007 trip was the best ever - he was planning our next year's trip as we drove out of the parking lot.
